Smile When I Think of You - Simon Says Stamp Believe in You Release Hop Day 2

Good morning! I'm super excited today to be hopping along for Day 2 of a 2 day Blog Hop to celebrate the Fabulous NEW Believe in You Release from Simon Says Stamp!!! Make sure and check out all the inspiration with this new release AND link up your creations as you receive your orders HERE in the Gallery created just for this release! And check out the graphic at the end of this post for info on a free gift with purchase including Tim Holtz products - no coupon required through Sunday, June 9th, 2019 as well (code expires at 11:59 PM EST)!!!

For my card today, I paired up the lovely new Sunflower Frame Die with a background I created using Gouache Paint - I picked up a set right before leaving on vacation, and was super excited to give this medium a try!

I love how the gouache paints mix and blend - and have almost a chalky appearance - so pretty! I used 3 colors from the set I purchased from Simon Says Stamp and created wide stripes on a panel of watercolor cardstock, using a bit of water to help the colors move, and allowing them to blend in between colors.

Once that dried, I die cut the new Sunflower Frame Die from white cardstock, and layered it over the top, glueing it in place with Gina K Connect Glue.

Finished off by adding a sentiment from the new Lunch Box Notes 2 Stamp Set, heat embossed on a bit of black cardstock and mounted with foam in the top right corner. Finally, I mounted the entire thing on a Fog Cardbase.

I also posted this card yesterday using this same stamp set for the sentiments and some Distress Oxide Inks to create a galaxy background - you can check out the details on this card HERE if you're interested!

Here is the info on the free gift you will receive with any order including any Tim Holtz branded products through July 31st while supplies last:
