Hello! I'm stopping by tonight to share a card using some of the BRAND NEW Believe in You Release from Simon Says Stamp! My first card to share tonight uses the fun new Lunch Box Notes 2 Stamp Set and a distress ink galaxy background!
I started off by stamping and heat embossing my sentiment in white on a panel of white cardstock, then masking off the edges using Post it Tape. I then blended a mix of 3 different colors of Distress Oxide inks over the panel, then added some splatters of water, white paint thinned with a bit of water, and some Starry Colors for a bit of gold.
I removed my mask, and once it dried, I carefully wiped any excess ink or splatters of my sentiment - the heat embossing perfectly "resists" the ink, and removes easily! I finished off by mounting the panel on a cardbase created with Hero Arts Plum Cardstock - such a lovely shade!

oh I love this card! I am new to the Distress Oxides and am a little intimidated, but having fun trying.
