Paper Smooches SPARKS - Lace

Hello! It's time for this weeks new Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge - here is what I made this week:


It is the first week of the month, so that means it is a Trend Watch Challenge:


And here is the inspiration piece:


I started off by trying to capture the feel of the lace by using some embossing paste over a doily die cut that I laid on some plain white cardstock. I also splattered a little Heidi Swapp Color Shine over the top in black, then let all that dry well.


I used Paper Smooches Tag Scallop Die to cut a piece of Chalkboard paper out, then stamped my sentiment from Many Thanks Stamp Set. Added some jute twine, wood veneer hearts, and enamel dots to finish it off.

  1. I realllllllllly need to get some of that embossing paste-- and I need to try some of your stamping techniques too!! And I need enamel dots! LOL! You inspire me;) LOVE this card- esp. the details on what looks like a simple card! YOU ROCK!
