SSS Masterpiece Box Blog Hop and Giveaway

Good morning! I feel like I have been bursting at the seams waiting to share this hop today! By now you have probably heard about the amazing new product from Simon Says Stamp called the Masterpiece Box - full of new unreleased products from some of your favorite companies!

I was super excited to open my package and see the brand new Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs stamp set - I'm pretty sure I squealed out loud! Haha! I put together a fun set of cards with these - AND...if you scroll down to the bottom, you will also see a card made with the new Mama Elephant set that was enclosed as well! 

I colored these dogs in rainbow colors - I figured if they were crazy, they could be any color I wanted, right? I stamped and fussy cut them out to start with - then had fun lining them all up - in rainbow order of course! :)

Next, I grabbed my card bases, stamped the dogs again (so that all the extra parts outside the lines would show), added some HILARIOUS sentiments from several older SSS stamp sets, and used some Warm Gray Copics to color the ground under them. 

THEN, I used a glue pen to glue down the colored version over the top. Finished off with a good coat of Glossy Accents on the eyes, noses, tongues (where applicable), and tags on the collars. I'm SOOO seriously in love with these - and had TONS of fun mixing up the sentiments to match the personality of the dogs! I stamped them in Versamark ink a few times to get a nice dark and crisp image on my watercolor paper - using my MISTI for perfect alignment. Then I sprinkled on some clear sparkle embossing powder to add a bit of shine. Added some watercolors and splatters around them - love how it makes them pop!

Next I used some of the hearts from inside the SSS Stacked Hearts Die, glued them down, and coated them with Glossy Accents - they almost look like enamel dots! The sentiment was heat embossed in white on a strip of black cardstock.
