Pinkfresh Folk Art Trio and Video Tutorial

Good morning! Just popping by today to share these simple folk art cards that I made earlier this month - and there is a video tutorial on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Channel this morning as well - you can see it HERE! I made these as samples for Make and Take's at Creativation - but we ended up changing the design a little bit in the end for that purpose and using watercolors to create the backdrop on those ones. I do just love how the soft ink blending works on these though to make the delicate Folk Element Dies pop!

For each card I used Distress Oxide ink to blend a background, then splattered on some thinned down white paint. I die cut an assortment of the tiny Folk Element Dies, planned an arrangement on each card, and adhered them with a glue pen. I chose a variety of sentiments from Heart and Soul Stamp Set and Oval Foliage Wreath Stamp set, and added those below using my MISTI of course - there was no way I wanted to ruin the cards at the final moment on the sentiments!

For this first one I used Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink:

And finally, this one features Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink:

I tried to go with very traditional bold Scandinavian colors - but the ones we created at Creativation in Phoenix came out super fun with lots of different watercolor color combos as well! I hope you will give this a try - would love to see what color combos you end up using!
