Good evening! I made this card while playing this afternoon and was going to post it tomorrow - but just noticed that a deadline of one of the challenges I was going to enter was tonight! So...tonight it is! Here is what I made:
I used the sketch from this weeks Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge:
And the color inspiration from this weeks Play Date Cafe Color Challenge:
I couldn't resist making another chalkboard style card - been loving that trend here lately!
I used the Paper Smooches set called "We Connect" (found HERE at Shop Pumpkin Spice if you're interested!) and stamped a couple of the words and heat embossed on a hand trimmed blue banner. My blue paper, and the green pattern paper are from Basic Grey's 6x6 PB&J paper pad. The brown is from Echo Parks This and That Graceful 6x6 paper pad.
Next, I smudged some white pigment ink around for "chalk dust" and stamped the same words again in pigment ink and slightly offset for a shadow effect.
Stamped the other sentiment on the side and did the same thing on the brown paper, then added some doodles all the way around with a white gel pen, and a white colored pencil.
Finished off by adding a tiny Tim Holtz paper clip,
This is so awesome looking. Fabulous colors and papers.
