Holiday and Winter Cards with Pinkfresh Studios

Good morning! I'm up on the Pinkfresh Studios Blog today sharing my first post there! Today I have a couple of cards to share with you using the brand new July release! One of them is a fun winter scene, and the other is a Holiday shaker card using a non-holiday set!

First up, this cute winter scene featuring the adorable new Squirrel Friends Stamp Set:

For this card, I used Distress Oxide Ink in Broken China to create a loose inked background to ground my scene, I added some flicks of thinned down white paint to add to the snowy effect.

I die cut the squirrel scene set with Squirrel Friends Dies, then stamped in each element of the scene. This works easiest to line these up - and I love that it all stamps in one piece! I colored the image up with Copic markers (using E50, E31, E55, and R11), then mounted with foam tape on my scene. Finished off by stamping my sentiment underneath, then added some snowflake images from Home for the Holidays Stamp Set.

Next up, I thought it would be fun to take a non-holiday set, and make a holiday card with it!

For this card, I used the beautiful new Floral Frame Stamps and Dies, paired up with a sentiment from Great Joy to create a holiday theme shaker card! I started off by doing some Distress Oxide ink blending using Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple, Cracked Pistachio, and Lucky Clover across a panel of white cardstock. I then used my MISTI to stamp the floral frame over the top multiple times for a super crisp and clear black stamped image. I stamped my sentiment in the center of the floral frame as well.

I also added some gold splatters with my Gansai Tambai Starry Colors Palette for a bit of glimmer and shine. At this point, I carefully used the coordinating Floral Frame Dies to die cut from the center of the panel. I adhered the negative pieces directly on my white card base, then used the frame to create my shaker element filled with sparkly iridescent star confetti. I die cut another white panel with Floral Frame Dies to inset directly on the cardbase, then adhered the front frame over the top with my acetate and foam adhesive  fully forming the shaker element.

Here is a closer look at the shine from the gold splatters:
