More Modern Rose Bloom Backgrounds - Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit

Good morning! I'm here to share a set of cards similar to the pair posted yesterday, but with some slight variations using the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for August - Mandy's Flowers! This kit is AMAZING! There is not only a large 6x8 stamp set included, but also a gorgeous 6x6 background stamp! And all this in addition to the beautiful pattern paper, embellishments, and cardstock! Like yesterday, my cards today focus on the beautiful Modern Rose Blooms 6x6 background stamp, with a few other little items from the kit mixed in with some word dies from previous releases:

For both cards, once I added the background, I used either Big Friend Wafer Dies or Big Thanks Wafer Die from a previous release to add the the large sentiment, die cut from kraft and white cardstock, then stamped a sentiment from Mandy's Flowers - the stamp set included in the kit - on strip of white cardstock. Tucked one of the Doodlebug Tiny Heart Enamel Shapes underneath to finish off. This first card uses a combination of SSS Dye inks. I used my MISTI to stamp, and just added once color of ink at a time only inking the stamp up partially, so it created a sort of ombre background. This first one uses Lemon Chiffon, Pale Blush Pink, and Sea Glass:

For the large words on these 3 cards today, I added Glossy Accents to the main die cut word for fun shine!

This next card used Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink - and like the first card yesterday with distress ink, I inked up the stamp, misted it with water, then pressed my watercolor paper over the top - smoothing it out with my hands - then peeled it off and let it dry. The oxide ink gives a slightly softer more chalky feel than the plain distress ink - it is just lovely!

It's a bit harder to see the Glossy Accents on the white word here in the photo, but a fun accent all the same!

And finally, this card is the bold and bright version! This is actually the first background I stamped - and not my favorite. I like the colors, but feel like they didn't blend as well as the softer colors. I actually didn't fully clean the stamp on the paler version, so if it looks like the colors aren't perfectly represented, there were some remnants of these bolder colors on the stamp. This color combo is Hot Mama, Burnt Orange, and Scuba.

And again - don't forget the Glossy Accents on the thanks word!

Here is the entire kit contents - I'm in LOVE with it all! You can find the entire kit HERE:

So now that you have seen so many different varieties, what would you love to do with this background stamp?!?
