Another Mama said...

Quick post this morning...since my internet was on the fritz from yesterday late afternoon until I spent an hour and fifteen minutes on HOLD trying to solve the problem! To add insult to injury, I figured out the problem myself...after they finally answered the phone and I wasted all that time on hold! Oh well - at least it is back!!!

Still TOTALLY love this stamp from Unity Stamp's March KOTM - and today, it kind of fits!!! Stamped the image and sentiment, added some faux stitching, ran the yellow background through the Cuttlebug, and inked the edges. Also cut a flower from Sweet Treats cartridge, glittered it and added a circle of paper and stick on pearls for a center. Finished with a bit of Baker's Twine along the side.

A thing of beauty...

Just one more quick card that I made the other day in my crafting adventures at a friends house!

Used my Unity Stamps, added inking and a bit of faux stitching, as well as some paper from Basic Grey. I am finding that I LOVE the 6 x 6 stacks of paper for card making - feels less wasteful somehow! And I can feed my paper addiction for a LOT less money!

2 cards...3 challenges!

Happy Friday!!!!! I spent the afternoon yesterday over at a friends house, having a "craft" afternoon while our kids played! It was a bit of a challenge to pack all my junk into something small enough to take over there, but I finally managed to make it small enough to be reasonable. (And of course, I only used a small FRACTION of what I took!!!) Anyway, I was pretty excited to get away from the house, and the dishes glaring at me whenever I ventured into the kitchen...

So these two cards are going to be entered in three different challenges! The first is over at Crazy About Cricut: Something you Love. I LOVE cute teacups, and love having tea parties with my little girlies! The second is a Stash Challenge over at Cooking with Cricut - to use something you have had in your stash for at least a year. Well...the solid cardstock is some that I got at a great sale at Joanns, and has been sitting there for at LEAST a year, while I kept buying more. And I have had the cartridge Wall Decor and More for over a year, and hardly used it at all! The last challenge is a Sketch Challenge at Sassy Lil' Card Sketches.

So for the cards...I used pretty much the same layout for both. The background came from the Lite cartridge Twinkle Toes, and the cup came from Wall Decor and More. Both sentiments are from Scrappy Mom's Stamps, and I added some doodling on both cards. The first card has some lace and pop-pop ribbon, and the second has a bunch of glitter and some stick on pearls.

Happy Happy Days!

Wanted to share a kind of quick and fun card today! Even though it is POURING down rain here right now, we have had some BEAUTIFUL spring days - which is what inspired this card!

The shaped card was welded together on my Gypsy from Lacey Labels. The tree shape is from Just Because Cards - using the label feature. Added some Stickles, a sentiment from Scrappy Mom's Stamps, some stitching with my white gel pen, and a little Baker's Twine bow.

Have a beautiful day!!!

Happy Easter...white with ink

I wanted to make an Easter card entirely out of white paper, so the other day I pulled out some paper, and my Cuttlebug and gave it a go.

I used the cartridge Lacey labels for the shaped card, welded on my Gypsy, and for the background shapes. The cross came from Indie Art using the shadow and blackout feature. I ran the layers through the Cuttlebug, but when it was all layed out, it just needed something more, so I ended up inking the edges of everything. Added a sentiment from Pink by Design and a bit of Baker's twine to finish it off.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge - absolutely Fab-ulous!!!

It's sketch time again over at Peachy Keen Stamps! Here is my take on the sketch! I don't know what I am going to do for an envelope - since this card is 4 x 8!!! Kind of came out huge...but I just couldn't figure out how to fit everything on it that I wanted to and still make it any smaller! Would make a great gift card holder...so maybe it just doesn't need an envelope!!!

I used Laffy Taffy faces, and Unity Stamps for the crowns. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's stamps. Added lots of doodling, a bit of coloring with my Prismacolor markers, and some ink for eye shadow and blush! Finished off with a bit of Baker's Twine for a bow.

Drip drip drop little April showers...

This morning I saw the challenge over at Paper Playtime: Weather Challenge, and new exactly what I wanted to do! You see, I got these little dew drops on clearance at Michaels a few weeks ago, and thought they looked JUST like raindrops...so this cute little girls from Once Upon a Princess with her umbrella and raincoat sounded so much fun...especially when the idea to put Glossy Aceents on her coat, boots, and umbrella came to mind! (The second picture shows the Glossy Accents a little bit better!)

Now for the other details! I added a Peachy Face to my little girl (of course!), and a shaped background cut from Lacey Labels. Also used a sentiment from my first set of Scrappy Mom's Stamps. Finished with some doodling, and a little bit of Baker's Twine.
