LID October Release - Day 1 - GIVEAWAY

Hello! So happy today to begin sharing some fun projects for the brand new holiday release at Lil' Inker Designs and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! You should have arrived here from Jennifer Carter - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards - so much cute Christmas stuff!

First up - I think this is my FAVORITE stamp set from the ENTIRE release!!!

I love the beautiful image in the Tis' the Season stamp set - so fun to color in, and so many ways to use it without coloring if you prefer! I added a sentiment from Rustic Christmas that seemed a perfect fit in that banner, but there are lots of fun sentiments included as well.

I used my MISTI to get a nice crisp impression on watercolor paper, then had the relaxing fun of watercoloring it all in.

I layered together some pattern paper, and used Scallop Border Die to cut a pretty border to tuck behind the torn edge of the watercolor paper, then added a bit of jute twine tied in a bow.

Next up - in complete contrast to the soft colors in the first card, I have a bold, sparkly, and traditionally colored card using the new Baubled Christmas Wreath Die!

I cut it out of sparkly red glitter paper, then layered it on some plaid Christmas Lawn Fawn pattern paper, and filled some of the holes with some Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

My sentiment came from the new Filled Christmas Tree Stamp Set, heat embossed in white on vellum, and tucked under one side of the wreath and held in place with a tiny dot or two of adhesive. I used Silly Stitched Dies to die cut out a framed portion, added a tiny mat of white, then set it back in place on the negative - that way it pops up the front portion, but still matches the plaid up PERFECTLY!

Your next stop along the blog hop is Karen Baker - head over there next to finish the hop before you go shopping. See you tomorrow with more projects and fun!

And now the really fun part! Laura has upped the prize for this release - one lucky person is going to win THE ENTIRE RELEASE! Winner will be chosen from comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!
