Sparkle and Shine - Calm and Bright

Good morning! It's time for the final challenge of 2015 over at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have another inspiration photo challenge, and a prize sponsored by Winnie and Walter! This is my final post as part of the Design Team for Sparkle and Shine - and it has been a fun year! However, I have a couple of fun new opportunities coming up this next year (more details soon!) - and want to allow enough time to continue to enjoy creating! So, this is farewell - although I will still be playing along anytime I possibly can!

Here is our inspiration photo:

I used an adorable Neat and Tangled set and heat embossed my image and sentiment on watercolor paper. (I first cut the sentiment in half to make it fit across the card rather than stacked - super scary the first time I did it, but really not a big deal now!) I added some bright watercolors from the inspiration photo, then attached to my card base with some washi, a scrap of doily, some black thread, and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Our amazing sponsor this time around is Winnie & Walter. The winner will receive:

I hope you'll join in and play along! Looking forward to seeing your creations! My supplies are all linked below if you're interested. Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!!!

Sparkle and Shine - Birthday Wreath

Good morning! It's time for a new challenge over at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have another inspiration photo challenge, and a prize sponsored by Winnie and Walter!

Here is our inspiration photo

I played with a couple different Winnie and Walter sets - the wreath and small dots came from a Christmas set, and the sentiment from a fall set. LOVE how versatile these can be! I used a Winnie and Walter die to cut the scallop front panel, added a scrap of pattern paper under the right side, and a piece of a doily on the other side, some jute twine, and a lovely smattering of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish it off. Nearly all my supplies are linked below if you have any that you are wondering about!

Watercolor Floral Thanks - Sparkle and Shine Challenge

Good morning! YAY for a new challenge at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have a beautiful photo inspiration, and a prize sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh!

Here is the photo inspiration we have to play with this time around:

I used the watercolor and splashes of color on white for my inspiration - seriously so many different things you could do with this one! I used Wplus9's Watercolored Anemones and MFT ink to create my background. Stamped the base images, then misted with water and allowed to dry. Went over with the extra images in the same color - which looks darker because the water softened the first layer! Added a sentiment with Hand Lettered Thanks, and, of course, some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Tangerine, Lemon Meringue, and Pansy. Finished off with a few flicks of black Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

I hope you will join in and play along! Looking forward to seeing your creations! Have a wonderful day!!!

Wishing You the Best - Sparkle and Shine Challenge

Good morning! YAY for a new challenge at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have a beautiful photo inspiration, and a prize sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh!

Here is the photo inspiration we have to play with this time around:

I loved the neutral colors - the kraft and black, as well as the twine - so I used that as my inspiration! I used Avery Elle's Wonky Stitches ELLE-ments to die cut my kraft paper, then stamped Wplus9's adorable bunnies and sentiments using Wishing You and Wishing You Sentiments. I left them neutral, and used a little white ink around the edges to make them pop a little more. Added some Pretty Pink Posh Lime sequins, some torn vellum, pattern paper from Crate Paper, a few splatters of white Mister Huey's ink, and some baker's twine to finish it off.

I hope you will join in and play along! Looking forward to seeing your creations! Have a wonderful day!!!

Sparkle and Shine - Have a Great Day

Good morning! It's time for a new challenge over at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have another inspiration photo challenge, and a prize sponsored by Winnie and Walter! Here is my card for this week:

Here is our inspiration photo - love the fun colors combined with the back to school theme! I decided to use both the color inspiration, as well as make a card that I thought would be a fun card to tuck in a child's lunchbox for the first day of school as well!

I used a some Crate Paper pattern paper to pull out my colors, then the center panel I did with a chalkboard technique using Lil' Inker's Wonky Squares Dies and Greetings and Salutations stamp set. There is also a doily tucked in there, some jute twine, and (of course!) some Pretty Pink Posh sequins as well!

Rain or Shine - Sparkle and Shine Challenge

Good morning! YAY for a new challenge at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have a beautiful photo inspiration, and a prize sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh! I pulled out some new Mama Elephant goodies I had been dying to play with to make a cute little scene on my card:

Here is the photo inspiration we have to play with this time around - fun to use for something fitting for Fourth of July, or use the colors, or find some other inspiration!

I die cut an oval panel with Lil' Inker's Stitched Oval Mats out of watercolor paper, then stamped my scene using Mama Elephants Chance of Rain. I used Zig Clean Color Brush Tip Pens and a waterbrush to color my scene, then added some woodgrain paper from MME, a sprinkle of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and  splash of white Mister Huey's Mist, then adhered everything together with foam adhesive for dimension.

I hope you will join in and play along! Looking forward to seeing your creations! Have a wonderful day!!!

Hello What's Up - Sparkle and Shine Challenge

Good morning! It's time for a new challenge over at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have sketch challenge, and a prize sponsored by Winnie and Walter!

Here is our sketch this week:

I pulled out a Lawn Fawn pattern paper pad to build my layers, and used Winnie and Walter's Bubble Talk set for the speech bubbles, stamped on pattern paper and fussy cut out. I also used that set to stamp and heat emboss my sentiment on the banner. I die cut hello from The Big, the Bold, and the Happy 4 times, and layered them together to make a nice thick embellishment. Finished off with some Tangerine, Aquamaring, and Onxy sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Ombre Hello - Sparkle and Shine Challenge

Good morning! YAY for a new challenge at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have a beautiful photo inspiration, and a prize sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh! I pulled out and used some of my Winnie and Walter dies and put them to good use on this card:

Here is the photo inspiration we have to play with this time around - two of my favorite things: ombre and the color mint! LOVE!

I started off by cutting a scallop panel from watercolor paper using Essentials: Audrey Cutaways. I created a watercolor ombre background on it with a couple shades of MFT dye ink, then added one of the cutout flowers from In Bloom: Maggie's Roses Cutaways. I added a good mound of Glossy Accents to the center, and then sprinkled on some Pretty Pink Posh Silver Shimmer Seed Beeds - they dried and stayed put perfectly! Finished off by cutting out the In a Word: Hello Cutaway die and adhering it with foam adhesive, then added some Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, then mounted it all over some pattern paper from Simple Stories.

I hope you will join in and play along! Looking forward to seeing your creations! Have a wonderful day!!!
