Wonderful and Amazing Day Watercolor Shaker - Lil' Inker Designs

Hello! Dropping by today with a bright and happy shaker card featuring some stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs used in a fun and unique way!

I started off by creating that fun watercolor stripe background using one of the simple watercolor striped images in the Brushed Plaid stamp set. I stamped with Distress Inks on watercolor paper using Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Carved Pumpkin, and Salty Ocean - then misted it with water. I also added a few tiny black splatters using Pinkfresh Studio's Licorice liquid watercolors, then set it all aside to dry nice and thoroughly.

Once it dried, I came back and die cut the largest oval from Stitched Mats: Ovals from the center of it. I adhered the die cut oval on a cardbase, then built a shaker with the negative portion. That way I used my entire background, but was able to include an inset shaker at the same time. I filled it with sparkly iridescent stars from Pretty Pink Posh!

I wrapped some black twine around the entire card and tied in a bow, then die cut then next smallest oval from white cardstock and stamped a sentiment from Hand Drawn Happiness on it. Mounted that with foam adhesive over the inset shaker element to finish off!

Happy Birthday City Shaker Cards - Pinkfresh Studio

Good morning! So, yesterday I did a thing...my very first Facebook Live video! There were some technical difficulties (of course!) - but we sorted that all out and managed to get a card made. If you missed it and want to take a peek, you can find it on the Pinkfresh Facebook - I kept accidentally hitting the "end" button, so there are a total of 4 videos (oops...) - but the one where we actually put this card together is HERE. The plan is to do this each week on Thursdays as schedules allow - so I hope you'll be able to come join me sometime!

Anyway, without further ado...here is the card we made today - and a bonus card at the end! (As a side note - the entire set of the Pinkfresh Liquid Watercolors we used on this card are on sale 20% off through the rest of April with coupon code: LW20OFFAPRIL)

Lots of fun techniques putting this card together using the Citiscape Die and coordinating A Day in the City Stamp Set. We did some watercoloring behind the window with Bubble Gum and Clementine liquid watercolors, heat embossed our image in gold, and then did some distress ink blending over the top! 

Die cut that panel with the new Essential Diagonal Stitched Rectangles, then turned it into a shaker card and added some glittery gold cardstock tucked behind to enhance the sparkle!

This same card can be recreated in an array of colors and using different techniques! Here is a softer more neutral version that I put together as well.

For this card I lined everything up in my MISTI, stamped it in soft gray ink, then colored the image in to add some shading using only Warm Gray Copics. I then restamped over the top in embossing ink and heat embossed in white.

Put this together the same way I did the last card, but used Sky Blue and Aquamarine liquid watercolors for the background on this one.

Blinged out Peacock Card - Pretty Pink Posh

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a fun card using some stamps and dies from Pretty Pink Posh - and some masking, ink blending, and LOTS of sparkly jewels as well! 

For this card I used one of the adorable peacocks from Peacock Friends, and then used the coordinating Peacock Friends Dies to die cut a mask from Masking paper. I fit that over the stamped image on my card, and then also added some Post it Tape along the bottom to create a "ground" for the image.

I blended some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink around the image, then removed my masks and colored the image in. I also stamped the sentiment from the same sentiment underneath as well.

For the final crowning touch on this card? I added LOTS of lovely Pearl White jewels to the tale feathers in varying sizes! This is one of those cards where you definitely want a jewel picker - my very favorite is the Crystal Katana which SERIOUSLY works like MAGIC with these jewels! Despite being a one layer card (except for the jewels!) - this card is nice and heavy with all the bling!

Masked One Layer Card - on the Reverse Confetti Blog

Simple Leaf Border Cards - Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in to share a couple more cards created with the BRAND NEW May Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Delicate Flowers! This is a super fun kit - I loved getting my hands on my first Alcohol Pearl inks (there are THREE in the kit!), and the Delicate Flowers stamp set is STUNNING! And not only is there some Yupo paper in the kit, but even some new Silver Sparkle Alcohol ink cardstock! There is some beautiful 6x6 pattern paper, gorgeous washi tape, and of course some cardstock and envelopes!

These two cards pretty much focus on the beautiful stamp set included in the kit, and some simple one layer cards with varied colors of ink.

I love how easy it is to vary the look of these two cards just by changing the ink colors. This first card uses a combo of Duckling, Apricot, and Cloudy Sky SSS inks.

The second one uses an array of green inks - Dusty Sage, Laurel Green, and Teal.

For both cards I stamped several of the leaf images randomly from the bottom of the card, then stamped a simple sentiment from the kit. These are perfect for a quick note to send to a friend, don't you think?
