You Drive Me Wild

Good morning! Today is starting a brand new sketch challenge at Eyelet Outlet - such a fun sketch too! Here is my take:

I used the adorable Motorcycle brads as a jumping off point for my card. Punched some circles with a circle punch, then some half circles with pattern paper and distressed the edges of everything before attaching together with staples, then adding the brads to the center. All my pattern paper is from Crate Paper's Open Road 6x6 paper pad. I added a sentiment from Lawn Fawn, some machine stitching, and lots more distressing to finish everything off.

Hello Shaker Card

Good evening! I'm posting a little late today - but I was procrastinating (in vain!) hoping that I would receive my order in the mail today with my first die from Pretty Pink Posh so I could participate in the Cutting Edge Blog Hop that ends today. Since it didn't come, I decided to make something anyway at the last minute!

As I mentioned above, I made this to join in the the Cutting Edge Blog Hop - even though my dies didn't arrive, I still had some sequins and gold confetti, so I decided to make a shaker card!

I used my Stitched Circle Dies and Stitched Scallop Border Die from Lil' Inker's Designs, as well as the Scripty Hello die from Lawn Fawn. There is a combination of pattern paper from MME and Basic Grey, as well as some pretty Gold Confetti, Cobalt Sequins, and Mini Sparkling Clear Sequins. The scallop border was cut from shiny gold paper to match the sequins, and I covered the word with Glossy Accents - which weren't dry in this picture even!

Winnie and Walter - Leading Lady Post 4 - and Giveaway!!!

Good Saturday morning! I'm excited to be back on the Winnie and Walter Blog again this morning to share some more fun projects with my Winnie and Walter stamps! Today I broke out the fun triangles from Scenery: It's a Wonderful Pennant and again made a variety of cards with the one main set - this time I made 3 completely different styles of cards!

First up, I went with a very clean and graphic card using the solid triangles. I used 3 different colors of My Favorite Things dye inks - so super juicy and perfect for inking up solid stamp images. 

I started in the center to build my shape - starting with the largest solid triangle. The second triangle on each side of the large one was made by just partially inking up the large one - I needed something a little more in between the large and medium size, and that did the trick! Added a sentiment from The Big, the Bold, and the Happy heat embossed in white and a row of stitched sequins, die cut with Lil' Inker's Stitched Rectangle Die, and mounted on some soft gray Simon Says Stamp Cardstock.

Next up, I decided to play with a watercolor effect. I stamped some of the pattern triangles in a random pattern on watercolor paper, also using MFT dye ink. Once I was happy with the arrangement, I just misted a few times with water, then dried it with a heat gun. Perfect watercolor - and so easy! 

Finished off with a sentiment from The Big, the Bold, and the You and a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and mounted on a gray card base made with Simon Says Stamp Cardstock. One note: I have found that after you watercolor, the paper tends to curl up when you mount it on your card unless you use REALLY strong adhesive. I use Score-Tape and have found it to work GREAT! 

And lastly, I started trying to think of things that were in a triangle shape. I thought of Christmas trees, and then all of a sudden I thought of making a teepee! 

This was fun to build - this time I used Hero Arts shadow inks. The solid triangle stamp for the background in pale yellow, the chevron over the top in a deeper yellow, the tiny outline in that same deep yellow but only partially inked for the top, then gray with the tiny solid for the door. And the sentiment? That *might* be a tiny sneaky peek of the new release coming next week (wink-wink)! I softened the edges of that panel with some distress ink to blend it in a little better, then added a panel behind cut with an Avery Elle die and debossed with PTI's Pure Linen Impression Plate, and some pattern paper from Studio Calico.

She dances, speaks, and loves - Unity FWF

Good morning! Just wanted to share a card I made for Unity Friends with Flair today. I have had this Angie Girl from Unity for a while, and just waiting for the chance to ink it up! In between different design team assignments yesterday, I took a few minutes to put this together. Coloring in something I love, but don't always take time for - this was very relaxing for me!

The stamp I used is called Whitney Girl - I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! I stamped it on Copic blending cardstock, and took my time coloring it in before cutting the image out. I used some ombre pattern paper from MME for the background, then added the pattern paper on the front from Crate Paper with a bit of machine stitching on the top. Stamped the sentiment on a strip of vellum and folded it around on the back to secure it. Finally, I attached my colored image with foam adhesive over the top.

Added some pattern paper from Crate Paper, some jute twine, and heat embossed the sentiment on a dark brown banner that I cut with My Craft Spot's Straight Banner Die.

Good morning! I actually made this card (and the little girl version that I will share tomorrow!) a little while back and never got it shared! I don't pull them out as often as I would like to, but I still really love the sweet Pure Innocence line from My Favorite Things stamps.
