Butterfly Shaker Card - Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card using the newest September 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Chunky Thankful Greetings! This month's kit has a fun mix of products! The included stamp set by the same name features some fabulous sentiments, and some cute little floral elements (there is also a coordinating die for this set available separately HERE). There are some beautiful pattern papers included, a fun embossing folder, butterfly die, a sparkly embellishment mix...that's all not to mention the cardstock, acetate, and more!

The monthly card kit has even more perks now when you sign up for the new Subscription service! There is a video HERE you can watch to learn more!

This kit was PERFECT for creating a shaker card - I just loved that butterfly and it was the perfect fit! I started by cutting it from a panel of white cardstock (and saved the detail cut for the next card I'll share in a day or two) - then used that to build my shaker. I used the Cotton Candy cardstock in the kit for my cardbase, and filled it with the Northern Lights Embellishment mix in the kit. I then die cut the butterfly again from the Metallic Confections kraft cardstock in the kit - mine was pink, but I think there are different colors that will be included in the kits. I used a bit of liquid glue to secure that over the acetate in just the center, as well as the detail on the wings. This left the edges of the wings floating free for some fabulous dimension! Finished off with a sentiment from the stamp set in the kit! Here are more photos and close ups of this card:

Stenciled Rose Notecards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I have a couple more cards to share with you using a mix of new, old, and in between supplies from Simon Says Stamp - I love when I can bring lots of different sets together, and use brand new stuff in my stash with some older items that are fun to dust off and give some love to. I actually created part of these cards while visiting my friend Lea Lawson last November - so some of these supplies are technically borrowed as well! :)

These cards feature a lot of texture, which is kind of fun as well! The backgrounds were stenciled with the older Rose Trio stencil in two different color combos, then I stamped some frames on them from the newer Ornate Borders and Frames stamp set. I tore the edges to add some interest to help it pop on the white cardbases, then decided to add a bit more texture with the Swiss Dots embossing folder, trimming into strips to adhere on a diagonal behind the stenciled panels, and trimming off the excess from the card edge. Sentiments were created with Big and Bold 2 and All About You sets, with a secondary sentiment added from All the Love Reverse Sentiment Strips. Used varying heights of foam adhesive to adhere all those layers together, then added a few sparkly clear sequins finish these off! Here are more photos of the finished cards:

Love You Shaker Tags - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! I'm popping in to share a couple cute shaker tags I created recently using the Simon Says Stamp Smitten Release! Have you ever made shaker tags? They are SUPER fun!

I used the new Tag Adornments wafer die to cut two base layers for each tag, then die cut the new Stacked Love You dies to create a window in the top one of each tag. I created the shaker element, and added some gold glitter cardstock behind the shaker, then filled it with tiny clear sequins. This adds so much extra sparkle in the shaker! I added sentiments with the Reverse Sentiment Strips All the Love, then a few sparkly stars die cut from the same Tag Adorments die. Finished off with some Faux Silk Ribbon tied at the top! Here are a couple more photos of these tags:

Neutral Christmas Present Shaker Card - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a card I created recently for a Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live. In our family, we love to wrap gifts up with kraft paper for Christmas, then add fun and simple embellishments, so I wanted to recreate that on my card for this week's live - and I had tons of fun using lots of the recent Holiday Release! You can watch the video replay HERE if you want to see more details and watch this card come together.

Here is the replay of the live video if you'd like to watch it here:

I love holiday cards that have a more neutral and rustic feel - we've loved more natural holiday wrapping in the past, and thes color scheme totally made me think of that! It was fun to turn it into a shaker card as well - and I love the slightly different look it gave. Here are more photos of this finished card:

Hark the Newborn King - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Holiday Card Kit

Hello! I'm dropping by tonight to share a few cards that I created using the BRAND NEW Stamptember surprise - the Hark the Newborn King Card Kit. It is available as a pre-order, and will ship in mid to late October - so this is your chance to get it on pre-order! This is such a pretty collection, and so loaded with fun supplies to kick start your holiday cardmaking! I created this set of cards that were so super quick and easy to put together, featuring the beautiful stamp set in the kit - but there is so much more fun to be had in this kit!

I went for very clean and graphic designs - I thought some of the images and sentiments in the stamp set were so fun, I just wanted to focus on those. I stamped the background image on both cards with Sunbeam ink, then added the silhouette images and sentiments over the top in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I cut those panels with two sizes of Basic Rectangles dies, mounted with foam on white cardbases, then added a few Sparkling Clear sequins to finish them off. Here is a closer look at these cards:

Here is a look at this entire kit - you can check it out HERE for more info:

Acetate Floral Card - Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share another card using the BRAND NEW April 2022 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Poppy Perfection! This month's kit is full of beautiful poppies in stamp and pattern paper form! The included stamp set by the same name has several beautiful poppy images and fun sentiments, there is some gorgeous pattern paper, some fun acetate decorative elements, sequin mix...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

Today's card looks like tons of layers and work...but was actually pretty easy to create! Read on to see how!

That amazing main floral image? That is one of the beautiful Idea-ology Transparent layers that was in the kit. Isn't it stunning?

I really wanted to let that shine, so I tore the edges of some white cardstock down to a panel sized just slightly larger than that acetate panel. I heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set in Antique Gold on vellum, then attached all three of those layers together with my Tiny Attacher stapler. No need to worry about hiding any adhesive!

I mounted that panel with a thin layer of Big Momma foam tape over some of the pattern paper that I used on the first card I shared a couple days ago.

Finally, some of the flat Gilded sequins included in the kit were the perfect finishing touch to embellish this card!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE:
