Circles and Leaves Birthday Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by today with a couple cards using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp - do you ever have those moments where you sit down to make one type of card, and end up with something entirely different? Well, that is what happened with these cards! They were supposed to be Christmas cards - and instead ended up becoming birthday cards!

I started off with some Christmas pattern paper, and die cut it with a Nested Circle die. Since I chose a double sided paper, I folded one edge over to reveal the complimentary pattern. I added some jute twine and a criss crossed tiny staple to attach the twine and hold the fold in place. Those were popped up with foam adhesive on a white cardbase. I added some greenery using Lush Leaves die and some satin Honey Gold cardstock, tucking part of the design under the circle. Finished off with some stamped sentiments from Birthday Basics that I had sitting near my desk still from a couple other cards I made late last week. A couple of rounded corners, and a few tiny gems finish these cards off! Here are more photos:

Birthday Candles Duo - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release

I'm popping in today to share a couple cards using the STAMPtember release from Simon Says Stamp!  There were so many fun things in that release that I didn't have a chance to play with, and since yesterday was my youngest daughter's 20th birthday (EEK! How is that possible?!?) - I had fun creating a couple cards with a fabulous new die from the release.

I started off by die cutting lots of the new Sparkling Candles dies from various colors of Concord and 9th cardstock - choosing a lighter and darker shade of each color. I then alternated the detail and solid layer in the light and dark shades to get a reverse set of each one. I die cut the sparkle pattern on a panel of white cardstock, then layered the candles on foam adhesive over the top. I rounded one corner, then mounted that panel with foam on a white cardbase. Finished off with a sentiment from the previously released Birthday Basics set, and a few Clear Pawsitively Dazzling Gems! I love how these came out - and can't wait to play with this set more in the future! Here are more photos of these finished cards:

You're In My Thoughts - Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share a couple more cards using the newest October 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Simple Leaves! This month's kit has a fun leafy feel to it! The included stamp set by the same name features some beautiful leaf outlines and solid stamps to fill them in, as well as some sweet tiny sentiments (there is also a coordinating die for this set available separately HERE). There are some rub-ons included, a fun 3D embossing folder, specialty paper, a sparkly embellishment mix...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

The monthly card kit has even more perks now when you sign up for the new Subscription service! There is a video HERE you can watch to learn more!

For these cards, I mainly featured the fun 3D Embossing Folder in the kit - Fluted Forest Decor - with some of the Green Leaf cardstock in the kit. I cut it in half at a diagonal angle, then adhered those debossed side up with a bit of thin foam adhesive on white cardbases. I added simple sentiments from the stamp set, and stamped a couple of leaves on there as well. A few of the lovely Pastel Dazzling Gems and a rounded corner on each one finish these off! I love a good two-for-one design too! Here are more photos:

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE:

Rainbow Hearts - Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card using the newest October 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Simple Leaves!

I decided to create something a bit outside the box for my card! I used the solid stamp designed to fill in one of the leaf designs - but I saw the heart immediately, and knew I had to go for it! I stamped it in a rainbow of Pawsitively Saturated inks on white cardstock, then die cut with the coordinating die. Since the die had the stem attached, I just carefully fussy cut that tiny bit off - easy peasy! I then added stamped sentiments on a couple of them, and used some of the smaller leaf outlines to add some details. For the background, I used the 3D embossing folder in the kit on white cardstock, trimmed it slightly smaller than my cardbase, and adhered it with the debossed side up for some fun texture. I popped the hearts up with foam adhesive in a cascading pattern along one side. I finished off with some Sparkly Stickles on some of the leaf elements, and some Clear Dazzling Gems (not the colors in the kit - just the plain ones) for some added sparkle. Here are more photos of this card:

Today calls for a Celebration - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a card I created earlier this week for a Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live. I used some of the newest release to create this card, and I love the modern and bold fall color combo! Scroll past this first photo for the video if you'd like to watch this card come together!

Here is the replay of the live video:

For this card, I used the Playful Petals set in a couple different ways. I started off with the press plate to create a letterpress background, using Lemon Whip ink on Cotton Betterpress cardstock. I then ink blended just the main 3 florals on the main image in some vibrant fall tones, then die cut those with the separate die that cuts just those pieces. While they can be popped up for dimension, they also work lovely on their own, so I put them to use here! I created a frame for the background using the new Blanket Stitched Octagons, cutting a window from white cardstock, then die cutting a frame from Ivory Glitter cardstock. I arranged the florals, then added a bit more dimension with some leaves cut from white cardstock with the new Garden Party die. The sentiment is a mix from the new Here for You Sentiments stamp set, and a secondary sentiment from the Playful Petals stamp set. I finished off with some coordinating Clear Drops in the centers of each of the flowers! Here are more photos of these cards:

Beautiful Fall Day - Pinkfresh Studio Craft Along Card

Good morning! Last year we started something new at Pinkfresh called Craft Along - we just finished the September Craft Along last night, and registration is now open for the next one in October! What is Craft Along? Well, it's basically a mini event, that is far more affordable and flexible for those who want community, crafting, and connection, but perhaps want the flexibility to use what they already have, or purchase a smaller bundle at a discount. We include alternatives to our chosen sets to give you all the options, and some previous month's attendees even came up with other fabulous options! You can always check out all our event options HERE for more info.

The event is through a private Zoom link - so you are able to chat, ask questions, and we can even see your lovely faces if you wish! You are (of course!) welcome to leave your camera off, and your sound muted as well if you are more comfortable with that. It has been so fun to be able to see some of your lovely faces as you crafted as well.

Since this was part of that event, I'm not going to share any details of how I created it - but I wanted to share some photos, and I've included a supply list at the bottom as well. I really love this card I created for the September Craft Along - and can't wait to share my October one with you all as well! We also have a bundle of supplies, so you can choose to use what you already own, or grab the bundle at a discount if you wish. The additional essentials we used are also available at a 10% discount (use code OCT24CA) if you don't have those in your stash and want to grab them - I've linked them below as well! We hope you will join us for this fun adventure and event! You can find all the details HERE for registering for the event, as well as the bundle HERE at a discount if you don't have the product or something similar you'd like to create with.

Here is a look at last night's Craft Along card:
