STAMPtember Tim Holtz Exclusive Stamp Set

Hello! I am SUPER excited today to be sharing a card with a new STAMPtember release -  the STAMPtember exclusive from Tim Holtz, a beautiful Christmas set that includes some incredibly fabulous stencils as well! I have a total of 5 cards to share with you using this set!

These stencils are SOOO amazing and fun! You use them one way, flip them around and line up the score marks, and then you can fill in the opposite direction to make stripes and plaids! Seriously brilliant! I did that in an ombre pattern on this card using several distress inks.

I then stamped on the sentiment and bird image in black ink, then used the rustic holly berry image around the border in Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide, added some Antique Linen to soften the edges, then did some machine stitching, and finally used my distress tool around the outer edges.

Next up I have two pairs of cards using the stamp set paired with alcohol inks and the fun new Alcohol Lift Ink:

The lift ink is so fun, as it allows you to "lift" the ink off of Yupo paper, then stamp it on white cardstock like I did here - so you end up with two separate cards!

I stamped my sentiment on the alcohol background with Stazon ink to make sure it would stay well on the Yupo paper.

I followed the same process on these two, just different colors. On all the white backgrounds, I added some gold splatters with my Starry Colors Palette.

On all four of these cards, I cut out a small strip diagonally with my paper trimmer, then reversed them on each card.

The alcohol ones I added some jute string, using my Tiny Attacher to hold it in place on the edges.

Holiday Wishes Deer - SSS Holiday Card Kit

Hello! Okay...I feel like I'm saying a lot lately how excited I am about different releases, but the fact is - I really AM excited about them all! The other day a surprise package landed in my mailbox - and when I opened it, imagine my excitement and delight to find a Special Limited Edition Holiday Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp - and it is a seriously AMAZING kit! (You can check out the entire kit HERE - and I've linked some of the individual elements that I used on my card below as well).

I pulled out elements from this card kit to put this fun winter card together:

I started off by using the fun Tim Holtz layering stencil in the kit, and a couple of the distress inks to blend together for the trees in the background. Once I had the color down, I added some of the Grit Paste (also included in the kit) through the second layer of the stencil to create the snow - also laying a bit down on the ground for the deer to stand on.

While that dried, I die cut the deer in Cream and Dark Chocolate cardstock, and layered them together slightly offset for a dimensional effect. I also tied a bit of the included twine in the kit around the neck, and used some of the Red Stickles to add a Rudolph nose!

I stamped the sentiment with some Dark Chocolate ink, and then used white pigment ink to add some tiny snowflakes from the included stamp set to the background.

Finally, layered up the front panel with some more Dark Chocolate cardstock, and some of the Authentique pattern paper in the kit.

Here is a peek at the entire kit:

Tim Holtz STAMPtember Holiday Stamp Set

Good morning! Super excited to be sharing a couple cards today featuring a special collaboration stamp set and stencil between Tim Holtz and Simon Says Stamp for STAMPtember! I was thrilled to have the chance to get my hands on this set and be able to play with it early - so beautiful! I was singing Christmas songs for days after I got this - while my family laughed at me! Haha!

There is more info on the Simon Says Stamp Blog HERE - as well as a video on the bottom of the post with Tim introducing the set and featuring cards by those of use who got the set early.

That beautiful plaid image caught my eye so much that I used it on both cards! For this first one, I stamped it on the top and bottom of some white cardstock with Versamark ink, then heat embossed with clear powder. I then heat embossed the sentiment in the middle.

Next I blended on some distress inks in an ombre fashing, darker at the outside edges, then lighter in the center. Added some distress ink to help the sentiment pop as well, then added a couple of the little swags around the sentiment, filled in with a white gel pen. Finished off with some white embossing paste and using part of the stencil to blend over the transition place.

Next up, I used the same two images in a slightly different way!

For this one I stamped the plaid in clear embossing ink, then immediately added the sentiment with Versmark ink in black - THEN, I sprinkled on clear embossing powder over all of it.

Added lots of distress ink blending, some water splatters, and some white paint splatters - and finished off with some jute twine and a few gold sequins.

Make sure and check out the entire Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release including this stamp set - and so many fun collaborations coming throughout the month!
