Paper Smooches Release Challenge - no pattern paper

Hello again! Just popping in to share a card I created for the Paper Smooches new release challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers - to make a card with NO pattern paper! This was actually a lot easier than I expected! Here is what I made:

I am also playing along with this weeks Cas-ual Friday Challenge - buttons:

And with CASology: Camp theme (the colors are totally ones that make me think of the outdoors and camping, and I'm pretty sure this cute little gnome lives outdoors, so isn't that camping?)

I used the adorable single little Paper Smooches Stamp called Jerome, stamped him on Copic blending cardstock, and colored him with my Copics. It has been a while since I sat and colored that much - so fun and relaxing! Then, I fussy cut him out to adhere to my cardbase with foam adhesive.

The green cardstock is from My Favorite Things, as is the matching button tied on with twine. Kraft cardstock is by Avery Elle. I debossed with PTI's Linen Impression Plate, popped up the sentiment from Sentiment Sampler on a smaller strip of kraft paper, and rounded a couple corners.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a fantastic day!

MCS New Release Sneak Peek Day 1

Good morning! Oh how much fun this week is going to be! I'm excited to day to begin day 1 of the new release party week at My Craft Spot! Today we are sharing projects made with a new stamp set called Tasty Treats - here is what I made:

I cut the image with my Silhouette Cameo using some Echo Park solid papers, then layered on some pattern papers from My Mind's Eye and Pebbles - I went for a fun retro feel with the colors and image!

Added the sentiment from the new stamp set, and some Green Traditional Baker's Twine from My Craft Spot, tied with a MFT button in the center.

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure and hop over to My Craft Spot to check out what the rest of the Design Team made, and stop back by tomorrow to see the next stamp set we are previewing!

MCS Challenge - Welcome to the Neighborhood

Good morning! Happy Memorial Day! Where has the almost first half of the year gone?!?!? Anyway - I'm here to share a card for this weeks new challenge at My Craft Spot - Welcome to the Neighborhood.
I used Chunky Alphabet stamp set to spell out my "welcome" on my card:

And I tied on some Natural Jute Twine as well:

I have been wanting to try out this pretty washi tape that I got a while back, so this seemed like a perfect opportunity! I layered several strips on a cardbase made from Avery Elle kraft cardstock, then cut the house shape out of white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo.
I stamped the word "welcome" using MFT kraft ink, tied on my jute twine and added a MFT button, then finished off with a few sequins before attaching it to my cardbase with foam adhesive.
Super simple and fun! Might just have to make a few of these I think! Thanks for dropping by today! I look forward to seeing your creations this week!

Stitched Hi - and exciting news!!!

Good morning! I had planned on posting this card for the current Paper Smooches SPARKS Cool Shades color challenge today anyway - but now I have the added excitement of sharing that I made the new SPARKS Design Team!!! I just found out late yesterday afternoon, and I'm still over-the-moon excited and pinching myself! You can read the announcement HERE if you're interested! Anyway, here is my card I made for the current challenge:
Here is the color combo:

I had been dying to try a technique that I have tried before with other clear stamps, but not yet with my Paper Smooches, and I needed a nice symmetric image for it. So I pulled out "Needle Little Love" and gave it a try. I selected the heart, then attached it backwards to my clear stamp block - so the back was facing out. I inked up and stamped it four times with MFT kraft ink, then cleaned it well, removed it, and stamped the correct side over the heart with two different colors of MFT ink. The end result is that it makes a perfect shadow effect for the stitched heart.
After that, I stamped my sentiment, stamped the stitching around the edges from the same set, then added a bit of bling to the hearts. I debossed that panel with my PTI Linen Impression Plate, inked the edges with distress ink, then distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distress tool. Tied some jute twine around and added a MFT button.
Finished off with some pattern paper from Basic Grey's Mint Julep 6x6 paper pad, also with the edges distressed, and mounted everything on a card base made with Avery Elle Kraft Cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by today! I will see you again soon!!!

Paper Smooches Nautical Card

(Edited to add: I'm linking this up with the Moxie Fab World Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge!)

Hello again! Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I have fallen head over heals for the nautical trend. I don't know why - but I LOVE it! I was leaving out of town the end of last week, so even though I had this in my head, I never had a chance to put it together in time to enter last weeks challenge. But, I am sending in my application for the Paper Smooches SPARKS Design Team call (fingers crossed big time!) - so I thought I would make this anyway a bit late!
I used the Trend Watch photo inspiration from THIS challenge:

I used the adorable Paper Smooches Anchor Die, tied a jute twine bow on it, and attached a MFT red button. Sentiment is from my first Paper Smooches set I ever purchased (when I fell in love with them!) - Sentiment Sampler. I stamped that with MFT ink.
Pattern papers are from a Fancy Pants 6x6 paper pad called Down By The Shore. I used a Lil' Inker's Designs stitched rectangle die to cut my main panel out of white cardstock. Card base is Avery Elle Kraft cardstock.
I attached the anchor with foam adhesive, as well as the white panel, then added a few gold sequins  - another design crush of mine!
Thanks for visiting me again! I have one more Paper Smooches card to post, then I think I am done for the day! See you in a few!
