STAMPtember Collaboration - Lawn Fawn

Hello - and HAPPY STAMPtember - a month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping.

Today we are getting to see the next in the progression of the special SUPER SECRET collaboration stamp sets that will be happening throughout the month! Today we have the much anticipated...Lawn Fawn!!!

I'm pretty sure these little birdies couldn't be ANY cuter!!!

I stamped them all out on one of the lines strung across the card, colored them up simply with Copic Markers, then added a coat of Glossy Accents over each of the bird images, and set it aside to dry nice and thoroughly.

Once that was dry, that allowed me to grab some distress inks and do some ink blending over the background in 3 different colors - like super easy masking! Plus, the birds are shiny now, which is super fun! I added some white paint splatters, then added the sentiment - heat embossed in white on black cardstock and popped up with foam adhesive.

Here is a closer look at this totally adorbs set:

CardMaker and Lawn Fawn Valentine Hop

Good morning! This morning I get to be part of a fun blog hop with the CardMaker Blog Design Team featuring Lawn Fawn's recent Valentine Release! I was thrilled at CHA a few weeks ago to not only get to stop by the Lawn Fawn booth and do a make and take - but to actually meet the super sweet and fun Kelly Marie! Lawn Fawn is definitely an extension of her bubbly and happy personality - she was just as I imagined! And the booth was CRAZY cute too!

I got to play with the darling Stitched Heart Envelope Die and Love Letters Stamp Set - I used elements of both to put this card together:

I knew I wanted to use that darling envelope - but decided to use it as an element on an A2 card front, instead of it's more obvious use as a small note card envelope. Now, this die is slightly too large to fit on a 6x6 piece of pattern paper - BUT, when it is folded into the envelope, you can't see if you actually miss a tiny bit on each side of the heart! So I was able to cut the pattern paper I wanted, despite the fact that it was just slightly too small.

I tucked the scallop notecard inside, added the heart and arrow element from the same die set, and then heat embossed and trimmed down a sentiment from Love Letters. Some fun Crate Paper pattern paper, a doily, and some jute twine - not to mention plenty of foam tape! - finish this card off!

Here is the entire blog hop line-up so you can follow along and see all the fun inspiration!

Party Animal Birthday Card

Good morning! Earlier this week we celebrated my youngest daughter's 12th birthday - I can't figure out where the time has gone! This time next year I will have two teenagers - yikes!

So...when you make cards the way I do, your kids expect a special card for their birthday, and with the past couple weeks of crazy life, I wasn't able to sit down to make this until the night before her birthday. I love to take the things they love and make their cards super personalized for them. This card I was inspired by her love of animals - she particularly loves wolves at the moment, but I didn't have any wolf stamps in my stash, so this had to do! She also is proud of that fact that her birthday is in the fall, so I definitely had to incorporate that!

I actually used a Lawn Fawn set that she had chosen earlier this summer, wanting to make birthday cards for her friends. It hadn't even been used yet - so it was the perfect opportunity. I stamped the critters on pattern paper, fussy cut out, then stamped several of the accessories on white cardstock, colored with Copics, and also fussy cut out to adhere together. Sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on vellum, then I adhered the critters over the top with foam adhesive.

Loads of Fun

Good morning! I recently had a request for a special card - a friend of mine wanted a thank you card for a friend who has been letting her do laundry at her house for quite some time while they went about building their new house. It was the perfect excuse to order up the adorable Loads of Fun stamp set from Lawn Fawn which I had been eyeing for a while anyway!

I also linking this up to the current Lawnscaping Challenge: Sparkle it Up (clear droplets and beads in the washing machine):

I stamped the washing machine and used a circle die to cut out the center, then fussy cut it out, along with the basket, and lots of extra socks and underwear.

I made the washing machine a shaker for the card - filled with clear seed beads - love how they look like bubbles. And the droplets on the outside look like BIGGER bubbles! Oh - and the socks and underwear on the inside aren't attached - so they are part of the shaker too! Fun, right? Also added Glossy Accents to the buttons on the machine.

Finished off with the sentiment white embossed on gray, a strip of gray under the bottom corner - and I used Copics on the gray to color a shadow for the washing machine to sit on.
