Thanks Snow Much - Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share another card using the new January 2023 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit -  Don't Flurry, Be Happy! This month's kit is full of wintry fun! The included stamp set by the same name has some snowflake images, as well as some great coordinating sentiments, there is a fun 3D embossing folder, a set of 3 snowflake dies, festive pattern paper...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, embellishments, and more!

For this bright and airy card, I stamped and heat embossed the large snowflake in clear along the side of a white cardstock panel, then ink blended over it in 3 shades of ink, creating an emboss resist effect. I used Seafoam, Surf, and Ocean ink. Then used those inks to stamp the sentiment along the side as well. I used Seafoam and Surf to create an ombre color effect on the "snow much", then Ocean for the "thanks" - I love how it coordinates with the ink blending. I added a few of the pretty die cut snowflakes, die cut from the included holographic paper in the kit again, and trimming one slightly to fit that edge. Finished off with a few of the included Rainbow Splash drops.

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE:

Second to Snow One - Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card using the new January 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit -  Don't Flurry, Be Happy!

I saw my friend Lea Lawson recently use the reverse side of a 3D embossed panel, and loved the look - so I thought I'd give it a try on this card! I added some of the pretty die cut snowflakes in the kit, cut from the included holographic paper, and heat embossed a sentiment in silver on black cardstock. Used the included Cornflower cardstock for the cardbase, a few of the included Rainbow Splash drops, and some Silver and White Twine tied around for a bit of extra sparkle! Here are more photos of this card:

Hot Foiling with Press Plates - Pinkfresh Studio

Hello! I'm dropping by today to share a few cards I created as part of a video for Pinkfresh Studio talking about how to hot foil with to our new press plates, designed to coordinate with the Betterpress machine from Spellbinders! I've also included the video below if you want to check it out! If you want to see the supplies I used, I have affiliate links (that cost you nothing, and help me out!) at the very bottom of this post as well!

Here is that video - click HERE if you'd prefer to watch it in higher quality on the Pinkfresh YouTube channel:

After the video, I finished off a couple cards using some of the hot foiled panels. I added a simple frame for the sentiments using the center of the Art Deco Frames cut from white cardstock. Here are more photos of these finished cards:

Comfy Cozy are We - Pinkfresh Studio December Challenge

Hello! I thought yesterday was my last holiday card to share - and then I remembered this cute little mini slimline that hadn't shared yet! I created this a couple weeks ago for the Pinkfresh Studio December challenge - and then totally forgot to post it (scroll to the bottom of this post for details on this month's challenge that ends in just a couple days!)! Anyway...on Christmas Eve, I thought it was a perfect time to share. Technically, I suppose this could even count as just a winter card, right?

I used the most recent holiday collection from Pinkfresh called Holiday Dreams - I love this design in the 12x12 pattern paper - it's perfect for creating a cute little mini slimline card! I mounted the trimmed portion of the paper on a light blue background, and framed it with a white die cut Mini Slim Stitch Scalloped Rectangle. The sentiment is from the Title Ephemera pack (don't you love the gold foiling on that?!?), and a few enamel dots add a finishing sprinkle of fun! Here are more photos of this card:

Here is the inspiration for this month's challenge - you can use either just the colors, just the theme, or combine the two together. And...one lucky winner in the each category of cardmaking or scrapbooking wins a $50 gift card, so it's a great challenge to enter if you're feeling festive still! You can find all the details HERE - you have until Tuesday night at 11:59 PM CST to enter.

Peace Joy and Hope - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a card I created recently for a Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live. This was actually a while ago - but I wanted to make sure it got posted before Christmas, and it was definitely time to get that finished here soon! You can watch the video replay HERE if you want to see more details and watch this card come together.

Here is the replay of the live video if you'd like to watch it here:

I thought this card was super fun, heat embossing the images in white on kraft paper, paired with the layering stencils to color them in gave such a unique effect! And mini slimline cards are still the cutest thing ever! This one is slightly larger than the standard, just to fit everything on, but I don't mind a custom size card every once in a while! Here are more photos of this finished card:

Altenew Stampwheel and Pinkfresh Studio Collaboration Instagram Hop

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share full details of my card that is part of a fun collaboration Instagram Hop with Altenew and Pinkfresh Studio, featuring the Stampwheel from Altenew paired up with product from Pinkfresh Studio! As always in an Instagram post, it is hard to get all the details included, so I always like to assemble it in a coordinating blog post for reference. Hop over to Instagram HERE to follow along on the hop and enter some of the fabulous prizes up for grabs!

For my card, I started off by heat embossing the Citrus Bloom image in Gold Pearl embossing powder. I then ink blended with Pinkfresh inks in a fun soft color palette (all colors listed below in the supply list) and die cut with the coordinating die. I used Dotted Chevrons coverplate die to add texture to the background, then added a Scallop Rectangle cut from pink cardstock, and then a Braided Circle cut from white cardstock. I arranged the floral images around adhering with liquid glue, and tucking some above and below the circle frame. Sentiment is from Wonderful Sentiments, stamped in Detail Black, and mounted with foam adhesive. A few Clear Drops: Champagne finish this card off! Here are more photos of this card:

Neutral Christmas Present Shaker Card - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a card I created recently for a Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live. In our family, we love to wrap gifts up with kraft paper for Christmas, then add fun and simple embellishments, so I wanted to recreate that on my card for this week's live - and I had tons of fun using lots of the recent Holiday Release! You can watch the video replay HERE if you want to see more details and watch this card come together.

Here is the replay of the live video if you'd like to watch it here:

I love holiday cards that have a more neutral and rustic feel - we've loved more natural holiday wrapping in the past, and thes color scheme totally made me think of that! It was fun to turn it into a shaker card as well - and I love the slightly different look it gave. Here are more photos of this finished card:
