Be of Good Cheer - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm back one more time before the month is over to share a fun holiday card with non-traditional colors using some fun goodies from Simon Says Stamp! I loved this large sentiment from the appropriately named Good Cheer stamp set, and thought it would be a great focal point for a card.

I started off by heat embossing it in gold on some white cardstock, and trimming it down to a smaller rectangle using Basic Rectangle Dies. I then used Evergreen Bough, Chipped Sapphire, and Seedless Preserves distress inks to watercolor over the image. I smooshed them onto clear stamp blocks, then picked up with a wet wide brush to paint over the sentiment, leaving the edges between colors wet so the colors could blend in between each one. LOVE this color combo!

Once that dried, I added a bit more gold in the form of gold splatters. Once that dried, I mounted it onto a slightly larger panel of gold glitter cardstock - all about making that gold pop on this card!

Finally, I grabbed some Navy cardstock to heat emboss one of the supporting sentiments in gold and trim down to a thin strip. Mounted this with foam over that panel, then mounted the entire panel with foam on a white cardbase.

Bone-a-fide Delicious - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a funny little birthday card using some fun goodies from Simon Says Stamp! I didn't realize until now as I'm posting, that this stamp set - Bone-A-Fide Birthday - is no longer available at Simon Says Stamp! Oops! And what's really sad...this was the first time I had used it! Double oops! Ah well...I still thought it was a fun card, so figured I may as well share it now anyway! Haha!

This is a pretty simple and straightforward design - no coloring required, which is kind of nice for a quick card as well!

This pattern paper from Honeybee Stamps Autumn Afternoon 6x6 paper pad is just lovely - I love the soft muted fall tones, and grabbed a couple of them for this card.

A little loop of black twine attached with some tiny staples, and a few sentiments, with some heat embossed and trimmed into strips make the perfect finishing touch for this simple card!

Floral Peach Glitter Shaker - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a simple, bright, and happy shaker card using some fun goodies from Simon Says Stamp! I had this gorgeous So Beautiful background stamp that sadly hadn't seen ink yet, so it seemed a good time to remedy that - and what better way than transforming it into a shaker card?!?

I started off by stamping the image on a panel of white cardstock. I thought about coloring it in, but loved the crisp black and white lines, so left it as is.

I then created a window to form my shaker using Nested Ovals dies in two sizes with black cardstock. I filled the shaker with some fun sparkly Tonic Sweet Peach Circles - a great coarse glitter! That pop of color is so fun!

Added a Sentiment Strip at the bottom, trimmed into a banner shape, some sparkly jewels to frame the sentiment, and a simple twine bow at the top, then mounted the panel on some Concord and 9th cardstock for an additional coordinating pop of color!

Debut Day 2 - Evelin T Designs Winter 2020 Release

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a few cards with the BRAND NEW winter release from Evelin T Designs - today is the reveal of the final 3, as well as a blog hop. Then everything will be available for purchase tomorrow - October 28th!

{{{NOTE: Evelin is currently under mandatory evacuation orders from her home due to nearby wildfires and high winds. They are safe, but if they are unable to return home quickly, then shipping may be delayed.}}}

For all of my cards for this release, I pulled out some pattern paper and die cuts from Pinkfresh Studio's Oh What Fun collection, and used the adorable new sets from Evelin T Designs to create some fun layered cards - and minimal coloring.

For this first card I'm using the darling new Be Merry Stamp Set!

I did some layered die cut ovals to create a focal point on my pattern paper - with some more clusters of embellishments above and below.

A bit of pink Copic marker on the cheeks and a few more enamel dots finish this card off!

This second card has several more elements and lots of fussy cutting!

For this card I'm featuring the Winter Magic stamp set with an angled pattern paper card front.

A sentiment from the stamp set heat embossed on a small hand trimmed banner paired perfectly with the ephemera sentiment.

A bit of foam adhesive for the layers, and some enamel dots help finish this card off!

And finally - a super simple design!

This pattern paper was the perfect design to feature lots of the sentiments in Season's Greetings!

I mixed and matched sentiments in the tiny frames, using several of them 2-3 times - and stamping the main one in the lower center of the card - it goes over the edges of the frame just a bit, which draws the eyes there.

Finished off with a sprinkle of gold splatter and mounted on a blue cardbase to help those colors pop!
