Technique Tuesday February Release Hop Day 2

Good morning! Welcome to the second day of the new release blog hop for Technique Tuesday! All products are now available at Technique Tuesday in the new product category HERE.

Today I'm using the beautiful new Kind Cosmo stamp set - colored up very simply with Copic markers, then die cut with the coordinating Kind Cosmo Crafting Dies.

I used the positive frame from yesterday's card from Essential Stitched Labels Crafting Die, and did a bit of ink blending in the bottom corner before stamping my sentiment and mounting my flowers with foam adhesive over the top.

I used a We R Memory Keepers Embossing folder to add some texture to the white background, trimmed it a bit smaller than my bold pink cardbase, tied some twine around the entire card, then mounted my framed florals over the top with more foam adhesive!

Simon Says Stamp Best Days Release Hop - Tip of the Iceberg

Good morning! I'm thrilled to be hopping today to celebrate the NEW Simon Says Stamp Best Days Release with a FABULOUS line up of talented creators! Make sure and check out Day 1 of the Hop starting on the Simon Says Stamp Blog yesterday - there is a $25 prize up for grabs from EACH and EVERY stop along BOTH days of the hop!!!

I have a couple more thank you cards to share today - I have been loving the new Big Thanks Wafer Dies and Big Thanks Words Stamp Set - and this sentiment was a PERFECT fit for the brand new Picture Book Walrus dies, don't you think?

Just like the cute croc cards I shared HERE the other day, I used two colors of cardstock and then just switched out the pieces to get two cards out of each! I did have to cut a bit of black for the noses on these, and also some white for the tusks, but the idea was still pretty much the same. I also added wiggly eyes to these as well - I love the character it adds to them!

For the background of these, I my Gemstones Next Level Embossing Folders to create a background that totally makes me think of icebergs! I thought it was the perfect fit! I then layered on the die cut walruses, the die cut thanks, and added my stamped sentiment on a strip of white popped up on foam tape underneath.

Finished off by matting that front panel on some silver cardstock from Tonic Studios - Silver Screen Glitter cardstock for one, and Frosted Silver Satin Effect for the other. I couldn't choose which one I like best - so I did one of each. What do you think - do you have a favorite?

For tons more inspiration with the new release - come visit the Simon Says Stamp Best Days Gallery HERE - and when you receive your own orders and begin crafting, make sure and link up your creations! It's a great place to come for tons of inspiration!

Here are a couple more cards I made with this release! Click HERE to go see details on these:

And here is a peek at a few more cards that I will be sharing on the blog soon - combining lots of pretty stickers and pattern papers with the new stamps and dies:

Watercolor and Embossing Folders

Good morning! Sharing another catch up card and video from Unity Stamp Company - this is another one of those random happy accident cards! I had a new embossing folder to try out, and really wanted to do some watercoloring, so I suddenly thought, why not emboss the watercolor paper? I'm so happy with how it came out!

Here is the video:

Such an easy way to create a background for an image - I left the image and sentiment pretty simple, since the background was plenty interesting enough!

A little fussy cutting of the butterfly, and attached that and the sentiment with foam adhesive.

Little Tangles - Embossing

Good morning! It's the start of a new challenge at Little Tangles - and this month is all about embossing! I went a little crazy and incorporated both heat embossing and textured embossing using the adorable new Say Yes to Donuts stamp set and dies - SOOO stinkin' cute!

Can't wait to see how you use the theme this time:
I had just seen something recently on another blog (wish I could remember where!) that I had to try - I stamped my images in a soft gray ink using my MISTI, colored them in with Copic markers, then used the MISTI again to stamp over the top of the image and add my heat embossing. Perfectly colored images and heat embossing without hurting your Copic markers! Here is a closer look at it:

I used an embossing folder from We-R-Memory keepers that I had recently gotten and wanted to try, added the sentiment heat embossed on strips of black, and a green cardbase. This card is going to be for my niece's birthday party this coming Sunday! Shhh!
