Gina K Designs Bold and Bright - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Collaboration

Hello again! Back today with the next in line for the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Exclusive Collaborations - today's is the ever popular Gina K Designs, which I feel like just means it's guaranteed to sell out. And I had so much fun going off my usual style for this card! I feel like it's giving me 80's or 90's bold color scheme. Is it just me?!?

I started off by stamping and heat embossing the beautiful large floral image from the Best Moments set. There are coordinating stencils available (AND Poly-Glaze panels if you fancy some foiling!), but since I didn't have those, I initially planned to add some color in another way. But as this card came together, I ended up leaving them simple, and I love the effect! I had the panel of black cardstock with a window cut in it from Modern Teardrops die leftover from another project, and on a whim, I pulled it out to see if I could use it. I don't think I've ever made a card with that much black cardstock on it, but I just seemed to work! I added some Gina K Sweet Corn cardstock behind it, and die cut a frame from Gina K Petunia cardstock using two of the same dies taped together. I tucked the floral in, trimming off some excess from the bottom one, then adhered that entire panel down with foam adhesive. I heat embossed a sentiment from the set in white on black cardstock and die cut it out, then die cut that same sentiment die two times from the Petunia cardstock to layer together. I adhered the stamped sentiment slightly offset, so you can see a bit of a pink shadow effect underneath - so fun! Finished off with some Taffy Dazzling Gems for some extra sparkle! Here is a closer look at all the fun shine, bold color, and detail in those florals:

Gina K August Release Cards for Simon Says Stamp

Hello! Stopping by tonight to share a few cards I created with the newest Gina K Release that is now available at Simon Says Stamp! They were kind enough to send me a few items from the release, and I put this trio of cards together using a few of the new sets!

I used a fun mix of stamping, ink blending, stenciling, and of course some sparkle and shine to create these cards! The 3 sets I got the fun of working with were Garden Party (love the coordinating stencil!), Lovely Ladybugs, and Friendship Bracelet. I kept my color scheme fairly similar, using aquas, pinks, yellows, and oranges for the most part. You can find all the supplies linked below, and here are some photos showing more of the details on these cards:

Merry and Bright - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Gina K Designs exclusive

Good morning! I'm back to share a card using the next of the special STAMPtember collaborations throughout the month! Each collaboration is with one of your favorite companies, is limited edition, and only available while supplies last. When it's gone, it's gone! Today's special release is the much anticipated set from Gina K Designs:

I decided to create a pair of shaker cards to share! Actually, I planned on making one, but couldn't decide which way I wanted to go with the colors...so I made both versions. Now I can't decide which one I like better! I started off by stamping the ornaments in Ocean and Cranberry inks a couple times each (I had one large ornament of each color leftover). I die cut them, then decided to soften the color ever so slightly, so ink blended over VERY lightly with the same color of ink. I created a shaker window with Modern Teardrop dies, and blended the same two colors of ink at the top of my cardbases. I filled the shakers with Micro Disco Ball sequins, and reversed the colors of the background with the ornaments for contrast. Added sentiments from the stamp set, stamped in black, die cut, and popped up with a bit of foam on the acetate. By necessity (thanks to inky fingers and a smudge on one card!), I added a few Dazzling Gems in Clear to the front of the cards - which did a lovely job of finishing off the sparkle! Here are some more photos of these two cards:

STAMPtember Collaboration - Gina K Designs

Hello - and HAPPY STAMPtember - a month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping.

Today we are getting to see the second of the special SUPER SECRET collaboration stamp sets that will be happening throughout the month! Today we have...Gina K Designs with a BEAUTIFUL winter theme stamp set!

I love the elegant winter feel this stamp set has - absolutely GORGEOUS! I created this nearly one layer card with a stamped top border with this stunning set!

I started by stamping the larger size snowflakes from the set directly on my cardbase, then added the bows stamped over the top to mimic the look of ornaments hanging down.

Next, I filled in the background with the smaller snowflakes stamped in the same colors, and then filled in with the mid-sized ones stamped in soft gray ink for a subtle fill in of the background.

Finally, added a good sprinkle of Pretty Pink Posh silver jewels over the background, and stamped and heat embossed a sentiment in white on a strip of black cardstock, then popped it up with foam adhesive on the background. Easy peasy, and so cool and wintery, don't you think?

Here is a closer look at this gorgeous stamp set:

Botanical Frame Cards - Pinkfresh Facebook Live Cards

Good morning! Yesterday the day for our weekly Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live! If you missed the Live video and want to take a peek, you can find it on the Pinkfresh Facebook Page - this week's video is available HERE. As always, there was one giveaway for someone who watched live, so make sure and pop in each week to win that live giveaway - 10 AM Pacific time on Thursday morning!

I also always try to post info here the next day on the card (or cards) we make - for those that aren't on Facebook or maybe didn't see it over there. So without further ado, here is sort of a look at the cards we created yesterday - we used some different colors and sentiments, so you may want to check out the replay of the video!

Each of these cards use one of the new Frame Builder Botanical series - die cut simply from white cardstock and mounted over some bright pretty colored cardstock. Added a sentiment heat embossed in white on vellum, then a few jewels to finish them off!

The super fun and versatile Frame Builder: Botanical Diamond die set - can work as both a square and diamond shape.

Which die is your favorite? And if you watched the live video - would love to hear what color combo was your favorite!

I love making sets of cards!

Today I'm sharing this card I created using the beautiful new Your Light Stamp Set and some Distress Oxide Inks!

I love the nautical theme to this stamp set, but wanted to use some brighter fun beachy colors for my card. I heat embossed the lighthouse image in white on a panel of white cardstock, then die cut a Nested Circle from another panel of paper and used the negative as a mask to blend Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber, Salty Ocean, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks over the image. I also added a hearty dose of Perfect Pearls before removing my mask.

Once that dried, I used a clean cloth to remove any excess ink clinging to my heat embossed image - this helped make it pop white and crisp against the background. I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the kit on a strip of black cardstock, and hand trimmed it down to a banner shape, then mounted that with foam over the bottom of the circle. I also added an additional stamped sentiment underneath.

I finished off with a few of the Marina Sequin Mix from the new release, and then matted that panel on two coordinating colors of cardstock from the Gina K Autumn Rainbow cardstock collection - 2018 Add-on Edition. Can you see all the fun sparkle on this card from the Perfect Pearls splattered on that ink blended background?

I also posted this set of cards yesterday using this same stamp set for the sentiments, and the beautiful NEW Wildflowers Stamp Set - you can check out the details on these cards HERE if you're interested!
