MCS January Release Hop and Giveaway

Good morning!!! It is finally time for the full reveal and hop for the January Release at My Craft Spot! You should have arrived here from Robin - head over to My Craft Spot to start at the beginning.

This is such a FABULOUS release! I ended up with 3 projects using the new goodies - make sure and leave a comment before you leave, because Kimberly has provided a prize from the new release at each stop along the hop! Click HERE to check out the new store!

And without further ado - here are my projects:

I started off with a little burlap gift bag - I found these a couple months ago at Michael's, and finally got around to using them! I used some canvas and Staz-on ink to stamp my sentiment from the new Chalkboard Sentiments Stamp Set, then cut a bow with the new Small Bow Metal Die out of cork. I couldn't get the center piece to fold around without breaking, so I wrapped some Ivory Jute twine around to hold it all together. I tucked some goodies inside and mailed it to a friend!

Next up, I had fun with the new Edgers Metal Dies, and Big Sentiments:

I used a leftover negative die-cut from a different project that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo, and attached it with foam adhesive to my cardbase. Stamped my sentiment in the middle, added a border cut with the new Edgers Metal Dies, then added some Orange Creamsicle Sequins. Finished off with a bit of Natural Jute Twine.

I was inspired for this card by the current Runway Inspired Challenge:

And last up, a fun and happy project! I had some goodies that I wanted to mail to another friend, so I put together this fun packaging to wrap it up in:

I used Chalkboard Sentiments again on this one, but with an entirely different look! I stamped with Versamark ink, then sprinkled 4 different colors of Zing embossing powder, then heat embossed. I love the bright rainbow effect! I added some Twinery Baker's Twine in coordinating colors of Lemon Drop, Caribbean, Honeydew, and Maraschino and tied it in a big fluffy bow. My side border was cut with Edgers Metal Dies, and I tucked a little doily in there as well.

Thanks for sticking with me this long! Here is a quick peak at what you can win here - also the stamp set I used for two of my projects:

Isn't it fun?!?!?!? You're next stop along the way is Ally - and here is the entire blog hop line-up, in case you get lost along the way:

One more Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Card

Okay - and here is my second entry for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:

And here is the trigger photo again:

When I saw the trigger - I immediately thought of this paper - so perfect, isn't it? I stitched it onto kraft paper, added some score lines with my Martha Stewart score board, and stamped a sentiment by Unity Stamps.

Finished off with a button banner using canvas, and PTI buttons and twine.

Alright - I think that's all for me today! Hope you have a fabulous Sunday!!!

The twinkle in your eye!

Hello! I already missed the deadline for one of the challenges I was going to enter this in, so I thought I better get this one turned in before it was too late!

I made this card for the Throwback Thursday Challenge at My Creative Time - use an older cartridge, make it Christmas themed, and include material somewhere on your project. Also entering it in the Inking it Up Old School Challenge - use an "old school" cartridge.

To start off, I'm excited to tell you how I made the background! It was something new that I tried for the first time! I used some canvas that I have been having a LOT of fun with lately! I took my Cuttlebug snowflake folder, sprayed it with dark Walnut Ink, then wiped ALMOST all of the ink off (the first time I didn't wipe it off enough and ended up with brown fabric!). I then laid my square of canvas inside, and ran it through my Cuttlebug. And when I say wipe most of the ink off - I mean it should look like there is NOT enough on it - then it will be right! I love the effect this has - and I'm sure I will be playing with this technique a lot in the future!

Anyway, I frayed the edges a bit, then stitched it to the background paper. I cut my image from A Child's Year (this was the second cartridge I ever owned! I still love it!), inked the edges, and added a bit of doodling. The sentiment frame is cut from Once Upon a Princess then inked, and the sentiment is from Emma's stamps. I tied it on with a bit of Baker's Twine.

I am also entering this in Made It Myself Monday's linking party over at You Had Me At Craft. Stop on over and check out all of the fun projects over there!

Unity Friends with Flair - Hello Bike

Good morning! Welcome to another week of Unity Friends with Flair! We were on vacation last week, so I missed playing along - but when I got home last weekend, I couldn't WAIT to play with my crafty supplies! This is one of the first things I made after getting home.

I used one of my new favorite techniques to play with - stamping on canvas! I stamped this bike from the Unity July KOTM, then sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer mist to add some color. Used lots of little pieces of paper, and did LOTS of machine stitching - something else I have been having a lot of fun with! The sentiment came from the Unity April KOTM, and I put a jute cord bow behind it and added a brad. Also inked the edges of just about everything - even the canvas!

Thanks for stopping by - and make sure and leave a comment and go link up your own creation at Unity Stamps blog for a chance to win 25 random stamps!

Oooohhh I am in LOVE with something NEW!!!

So...I was recently out helping clean out the closets and cupboards at our church, when we came across a bunch of little pieces of plain cream colored canvas. We were going to throw it away, when I thought to myself, maybe it would be fun to stamp on? And if not, I could always just throw it away later, right? Well, I pulled it out to try for this card, and I am SURE I will be using it a LOT more!!!

I also had just gotten my July KOTM in the mail a couple of hours earlier, and wanted to make a thank you card for my dear sister-in-law who came and rescued me earlier in the week when I had a migraine. She took me to the chiropractor, then took my kids home with her for the afternoon. Yep - I'm spoiled, and she's wonderful!!!

I stamped the image and sentiment from my July Unity KOTM on the canvas, then sprayed it with some Tattered Angels glimmer mist. Frayed the edges a bit, machine stitched around the edges of the canvas, and the edges of the card, and added a bit of bling with my Jolee's heat set tool. Finished off with these cool ribbon roses that I sprayed with 3 different colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer mist! (Another thing I have had for a bit, but not experimented with often enough to get good at! Have to change that now!)
