Today I'm sharing this simple card combining a new die and a sentiment from a new stamp set!

I started off by blending some Abandoned Coral distress ink on some white cardstock to create a background. I then mixed some Barn Door ink with a bit of water to add some splatters over the top.

Once that dried, I added the new die cut Etched Swirl Heart over the top with foam adhesive, pressing up some of the swirl areas to give it more dimension.

Finished off with the sentiment from Work of the Heart, a few Raspberry Jewels, and then mounted the entire panel on a card base created from Cotton Candy cardstock.

GIVEAWAY INFO:
Simon Says will be giving a $25 gift certificate to their online store at each stop along the hop - so make sure and leave a comment before you leave for a chance to win! Winners will be announced next Wednesday on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

So Good to See You Smile - Simon Says Stamp Crafty Hugs Release

Good morning! There is a BRAND NEW release on the block from Simon Says Stamp called Crafty Hugs - so I thought I'd drop by quickly this morning with my first card using some of the new release!

I started off by masking off a panel of white cardstock and blending a background with 3 colors of Distress Oxide inks - Wilted VioletMermaid Lagoon, and Peacock Feathers. I also added a good splatter of Perfect Pearls over that background, then removed the tape and set it aside to dry.

I die cut the beautiful new Etched Dragonfly Die from white cardstock, and assembled it directly on that panel with a bit of liquid glue, then covered the wings with White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter drops, and the body with Silver Moondust Nuvo Glitter Drops.

I added the sentiment using the new CZ Design So Far So Good Stamp Set - stamped in black Versafine Ink using my MISTI and stamping several times for a nice dark impression over the distress oxide. Finally, mounted it on a card base created with coordinating cardstock!

Today's lesson was about ways to use vellum - so many fun ideas! I die cut this super intricate stencil to lay over my ink blended background - I love how soft and romantic it looks!

Rose Reverse Stenciling

Hello! Dropping by this morning with a quick card. I am super excited to be part of the Online Card Classes Spring Card Camp as a Guest - but I also thought it would be fun to play along with some of the lessons when I have time as well! This is for Day 6 of the class. You can find all the supplies I used linked at the bottom of this post! Oh - and you can go HERE to check out the card camp, it's not too late to sign up!

This day's class was about creative color blocking - and this was created at the same time as the previous lessons card. After I finished inking through the other stencil, instead of cleaning off my stencil, I misted it with water, and pressed some watercolor paper over it. I love the soft watercolored reverse image I got from that!

Today's lesson was about stencil shading. I love the more vintage feel I was able to get on this design by doing a base layer of beige ink - changes up the look of it a bit!
