Stenciling on Colored Cardstock - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made a few weeks back for Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live - we've been doing lots of layering stencils lately, so it was fun to break out a newer layering stamp set for this time around! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

This card was so much fun to create - using layering stencils with bright happy inks on colored cardstock, then a fun trick for heat embossing OVER the stenciled image with a cling rubber stamp.

While there is the gorgeous Bougainvillea hot plate to use - there is also this gorgeous cling rubber stamp, for those who aren't necessarily ready to jump into hot foiling. And it is equally gorgeous!

I first stenciled the background with the Bougainvillea layering stencils using Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Grassy Knoll, and Key Lime inks, then heat embossed over the top with white. I used a little trick with acetate to line up the stamped image perfectly over the stenciling, since with a cling rubber stamp, you can't see through it like a clear stamp. You could also heat emboss first, then add the stenciling if you prefer.

I die cut that panel with Diagonal Stitched Rectangles, then added some white paint splatters before mounting with foam on a white cardbase.

Sentiment is from My Favorite Things to Say 2, stamped on a strip of white cardstock and trimmed into a banner shape, then mounted with foam adhesive on that background. A few sparkly Essentials: Crystals finish this card off!

Welcome to a Cup of Sugar - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by with a card that uses some items from the past two releases from Simon Says Stamp combined onto one clean and simple card!

I loved the super fun and unique Welcoming stamp and die from CZ Design - some of the sentiments are super cute and fun! Like this one - how fun to give to a new neighbor - or one that you already know and love!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white on some fun and bright colors of Concord and 9th cardstock - I wanted most of my card to be neutral, but thought it would be fun to add this fun color combo with the sentiments. I also love that some of the words have coordinating dies - even more fun!

The background was simply a panel of white cardstock that I used the new Floral Centerpiece 3D Embossing Folder on - then tore the edges to create some texture, before popping up with foam adhesive on a Cream cardbase.

I added the sentiments with more foam adhesive over the top, and then finished off with a few Pinkfresh Studio Essentials Jewels in coordinating colors.

Rainbow Trio - Simon Says Stamp June 2021 Card Kit

Hello! I'm here today to share a trio of cards using the BRAND NEW June 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Rainbow is my Favorite Color! This kit is full of rainbow fun! The included stamp set by the same name has some fun rainbow building stamps and great sentiments, there is some lovely pattern papera sweet little rainbow die (that I'm using on my card today!) - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

These rainbows were so fun to stamp - I couldn't just stop with one!

I used a variety of Simon Says Stamp inks (some of the colors included in the kit, and a few additinoal ones), and the magic of the MISTI with the Rainbow is my Favorite Color stamp set to line up each layer, and stamp multiples - so it was quick and easy to create several all at once! I kept the layers clean and simple, for a bright and graphic design - fun colors, and crisp black. Then tucked some of the pattern paper from the kit under each panel that I trimmed down narrower than my A2 card sizes, so the pattern paper shows on each side of the panel.

For this first one, I used Hot Mama, Audrey Blue, Key Lime, and Lemon Zing inks.

This second one uses a somewhat monochromatic color scheme of Coral Reef, Clementine, Teeny Bikini, and Melon inks.

And finally - this bright fun one uses Island Blue, Jellybean, Sunshine, and Hot Lips ink.

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

End of the Rainbow - Simon Says Stamp June 2021 Card Kit

Hello! I'm here today to share my first cards with the BRAND NEW June 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Rainbow is my Favorite Color! This kit is full of rainbow fun! The included stamp set by the same name has some fun rainbow building stamps and great sentiments, there is some lovely pattern paper, a sweet little rainbow die (that I'm using on my card today!) - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

Today's card is clean and simple rainbow fun!

I used that fun Hello Rainbow die on the stripe rainbow pattern paper from the kit - making the stripes go a bit of a different direction for a fun different look!

I tucked a few of the cute little cloud Doodlebug stickers on the left hand side, popping a couple of them up on foam adhesive like the rainbow, and one underneath.

Sentiment from the stamp set in the kit was heat embossed on some black cardstock to adhere - not my first plan, but when you mess up stamping the sentiment, you improvise, right?

A few of those cute sparkly Memory Box jewels on the rainbow, and a few of the tiny hearts from the Doodlebug stickers tucked under the sentiment add a bit of sparkle. And finally - it felt just a *bit* too simple, so I added a row of scored lines at the bottom of the card base for a touch of texture!

Stenciled Fuchsia Card Trio - Pretty Pink Posh Instagram Hop

Good morning! Today I'm celebrating the new May Release from Pretty Pink Posh by joining Day 2 of the Instagram Release Hop! You can head over to Instagram to join that hop, and enter to win today's giveaways, and you can find the new release HERE. I thought I would share more details here on my blog on my card - since it is always tough to put enough info in an Instagram post!

I love that the newly released Flourishing Fuchsias stencils work with both the stamps and dies from previous releases - I decided to use just the stencils with the coordinating dies for my cards today - love the soft and pretty look that stencils give, and wanted to enjoy it fully! I stenciled and die cut all the images from the set, and while I could have crammed them all onto one card, I spread them out instead onto a total of 3 cards with lots of white space. I used Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Lucky Clover for my stenciling.

For this first card, I added a sentiment from the previously released Spring Robins stamp set - love the font of that large word! So cute!

This second card uses a sentiment from another new release - Flower Bouquets (which is another set I'm looking forward to using more!

And finally, this last card uses a simple birthday sentiment from the previously released Party Friends stamp set.

For all of the cards I created window panels using the new Spring Circles coordinating dies - love that awesome bonus frame in the set, and I saved the positive pieces for later projects as well. I also added a sprinkling of sequins from Sparkling Clear sequin mix for some simple and neutral sparkle and shine.

Rare & Beautiful - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made yesterday for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live - we've been doing lots of layering stencils lately, so it was fun to break out a newer layering stamp set for this time around! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

It was also fun to take a stamp set that feels like it was designed more for a standard card size - the Rare & Beautiful stamp set - and use it on a slimline card. There is something fun about the larger canvas of slimline cards!

I defaulted back to Coral Reef ink - so hard not too when it is so pretty! I also used Fresh Pear for the green layer on this stamp set, as well as to stencil the background using Inverted Diamond slimline stencil. The words were stamped with Detail Black ink, then both layers die cut with the coordinating dies.

This wasn't a card to go low use on the foam adhesive - so we have foam adhesive for the main panel on our soft pink cardbase (first die cut using Slim Diagonal Rectangles dies), foam behind the main floral image, and foam behind the words - definitely not a flat easily mailable card, but perfect for hand delivering!

The additional sentiments were stamped using the new Reason to Smile Wreath stamp set - so many fabulous sentiments on this stamp set! And a few sparkly Essentials Jewels and Essentials Crystals finish this card off!

Adorable Birdhouse - Spellbinders

Good morning! Stopping by today to share a card that might quite possibly be one of my favorites ever! I recently received a couple items from the NEW Birdhouses Through the Seasons by Vicky Papaioannou from Spellbinders - and I can't tell you how delightfully fun they are to play with! I had so much fun relaxing, die cutting, and creating this card. The details on these die sets are incredible! And I recently ordered some cardstock from Spellbinders - and loved how beautifully it die cut, and the colors were so fun as well!

I started off by using Essential Ovals dies to create a window in a panel of Alabaster cardstock to mount with foam over my white cardbase - this provided the grounding to build my fun scene! Then it was a matter of lots of die cutting to put this together. I started off with the adorable Build a Spring Birdhouse - I LOVE that it both die cuts, and adds that fun detail embossing as well! I cut it from Beeswax cardstock, and then again from kraft cardstock to trim off the roof and bottom of the house and adhere them over top. Also inset that tiny heart using Wild Berry cardstock.

I added some other details with Sweet Birds on a Branch die - using kraft cardstock to cut the branch, and then a mix of Waterfall and Lagoon cardstock, along with a touch of white and kraft. I then added lots of leaves from that set with the same colors, and then some flowers from the Build a Spring Birdhouse using Pink Sand and that same Wild Berry cardstock - switching out the dots in the centers of the flowers with the opposite colors.

Then it was just a matter of sprinkling those flowers and leaves around the scene - and tucking a hot foiled sentiment from Yana's Special Sentiments hot foil and die set for the perfect touch of gold shine, and a few sparkly PPP white jewels to finish this off!

Spring Circles Slimline Card - Pretty Pink Posh May Release Blog Hop and Giveaway

Good morning! I'm excited today to be hopping along for day 1 of a 3 day blog hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW May Release from Pretty Pink Posh (also available in a bundle HERE if you just want it all!)! There is such a fun mix of products in this release! Keep reading for more info, details on my card I'm sharing today, AND of course, some giveaway info at the bottom as well!

I created a happy spring theme slimline shaker card combining a few of the new release items!

The background was die cut using the new Slimline: Floral Cover Die - love all the pretty details on this! I added a touch of Twisted Citron distress ink to the top and bottom of the panel underneath, and then filled the shaker with coordinating Grass Green seed beads for a nice spring shaker element.

The front was created by stamping 3 of the fun circles from Spring Circles stamp set and heat embossing them in clear, then ink blending over each one with a mix of Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold, and Mustard Seed distress inks before die cutting with the coordinating dies. I then adhered them over the top of my shaker panel with a touch of foam tape.

Finally, the sentiment was added using Simple Sentiments stamp set to heat emboss a sweet sentiment in white on a thin strip of black cardstock. I trimmed it down to a banner shape on each side, then adhered to the bottom of the center circle.
