You are Enough - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made yesterday for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. I challenged myself to use a unique color combination for these florals - and I love how they turned out in the end! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

I decided to use the Floral Bunch stamp set and Layering Stencils - a set that I hadn't used nearly enough, and absolutely love! And I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to ONLY use inks that were currently in stock in the Pinkfresh store - it is rather limited right now, but it was fun to stretch and try a different color combo!

Once it was all colored, I die cut it with the Coordinating Die, and it was time to start assembling the card. I used another item I hadn't used before - Simply Hexagons die - and layered it over a soft blue cardbase to coordinate and add a touch of color to the background.

For the sentiment, I used a Fancy Label Frame, and did some creative cutting to change the size of it - I stamped my sentiment, Die cut it centered toward the bottom, then carefully replaced the die over the die cut piece but lower down so it seamlessly die cut the top off to make the shape shorter. Perfect custom frame for my sentiment!

I arranged the florals so that they slightly overlapped the frame with the sentiment, then trimmed off the extra with scissors, and adhered everything with foam adhesive.

Tucked a few of the trimmed off extra florals in the top corner behind the sentiment frame, and added a few sparkly jewels to finish it off!

Copper and Rustic Thank You Set - Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit

Good morning! I'm here today to share my first cards with the BRAND NEW November 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Cozy Wishes! This month's kit brings out all the cozy winter cabin feels! The included stamp set by the same name is full of adorable images and sweet sentiments, there are some pre-printed sentiments, some gorgeous pattern paper, a lovely stencil, a fun 3-D embossing folder - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

I started off by creating a set of thank you notes featuring the adorable pattern paper in the kit - and those pre-printed sentiments that I upgraded with copper hot foil! They are printed with toner, so work with Deco Foil - and I used my trick with the Pinkfresh Solid Hot Foil plate that I shared in this video HERE to add the foil. Check it out if you want to see how I did it!

Foil is so  hard to photograph - but here is a bit of a better look at how shiny and pretty it is!

And a closer view of each card - I trimmed the pattern paper down to slightly smaller than my white cardbase, so it left a simple border around the edges.

I used the reverse sides of some of the papers to add a strip of contrast - tearing the edges for some texture.

Finally, I mounted the hot foiled sentiments over the top with foam adhesive - after trimming them into thin strips.

The papers are so lovely and rustic! I love how they worked for this!

And while those sentiments are fun in just simple printed black - they are SOOO fabulous with a touch of foil on them!

Happy Holiday's 2 Ways - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made a couple weeks ago for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live (I normally do Facebook Live, this particular week I took over YouTube live). This was the live where I got to share the first sneak peek of the new Solid Hot Foil plate - and a few ways to put it to use. Was so fun and exciting! It is currently out of stock, but I'm hoping it is restocked very soon! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

First we did the Abstract Triangles hot foil plate in the original, and the reverse version with the Solid Hot Foil Plate to create the background for our cards. I also did the same with a sentiment from Thrill of Hope hot foil plate, and die cut both versions with the Coordinating dies.

For this card, I used the original version of the hot foiled background die cut with Diagonal Stitched Rectangles, the reverse version of the sentiment, and then added hot foil to my die cut Fancy Oval Frame so that it perfectly coordinated with all the other foil. LOVE that I can do that with die cut pieces!

For this second card, I used the reverse of the background die cut with Stitched Rectangles, then just the original sentiment and white frame.

Both cards also feature some of the beautiful Poinsettia Washi tape, die cut with the Coordinating Dies, and a few sparkly Metallic Gold Pearls in the centers of some of the flowers!

Metallic Be Merry card - Simon Says Stamp Peace on Earth Release

Good morning! Popping in to share another card I created with the BRAND NEW Festive and Fun Peace on Earth release from Simon Says Stamp - love all the fun mix of holiday and winter elements in this release! While the first card I shared was all about the rainbows - this card is all silver and gold and an elegant finish! Gold heat embossing on silver cardstock? Um, yes please!

I discovered if you are very careful, you can heat emboss on the new Matte Silver Mirror cardstock that was part of this release. I used the Star to Star background cling stamp. The main caution is to keep the heat tool moving so you don't melt the cardstock, and only *just* melt the embossing powder - nothing more. Such an elegant and pretty effect though, don't you think?

I trimmed the panel down, and mounted with foam on an Ivory cardbase - I thought it looked a little fancier than a white cardbase for some reason, and complimented all the sparkle better.

I also heat embossed a sentiment from the new XL Christmas Greetings stamp set in gold only on Black cardstock, and trimmed it down to a rectangle. I die cut a new Aurora Snowflake from gold glitter cardstock, and mounted the sentiment with the snowflake tucked behind it on that front panel.

Final finishing touch was a little row of Pinkfresh Metallic Gold Pearls on each side of the sentiment!

Good Tidings - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made yesterday for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. I'm usually a lover of white space, but I had tons of fun going full on bold and traditional Christmas colors for this card - AND - using a non holiday floral set to create a Christmas card as well! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

I started off with the Rustic Floral Wreath layering stencils - this set is perfect for so many seasons, just by switching up the colors. I did some red and greens for a traditional Christmas color combo, then die cut out with the coordinating dies.

I wasn't sure if it would work, but I did end up going with colored cardstock after that as well. I used a green card base, and die cut an Ornate Banner from red cardstock. It needed something to provide some framing, so I used the Ornate Banner die again with gold mirror cardstock to create a frame around the red version. It set it off just perfectly!

The hot foiled sentiment is from Perfect Sentiments: Holiday - and while I used the regular hot foiled on on the live, I ended up switching it out with the reverse hot foiled sentiment using the Solid Hot Foil Plate. I was so much happier with that one and the extra gold pop it added!

The secondary sentiment is from Thrill of Hope stamp set, and was heat embossed in gold on the red cardstock. I was originally thinking of doing it in white embossing powder, but lately I've been kind of loving gold heat embossing on colored cardstock. I loved it on this card!

Finished off with all different sizes of Metallic Gold Pearls adhered on the centers of all the flowers to really pull all the gold accents together!

Sending You Joy - Simon Says Stamp Peace on Earth Release

Hello! Popping in to share my first card with the BRAND NEW Festive and Fun Peace on Earth release from Simon Says Stamp - love all the fun mix of holiday and winter elements in this release - I paired up a new stencil and sentiment stamp set to create this one layer rainbow Christmas card!

I used the beautiful new Berries and Leaves stencil directly on my white cardbase - and used a rainbow of Pinkfresh Studio inks to blend around it, making sure to overlap the colors so I got a beautiful blend between each of the colors.

Once I pulled the stencil off, I actually went around and used the residual ink off the brushes to add a soft second layer of ink over the stenciled leaves. This served two purposes! First, it gave it a softer vignette around the card. And secondly, it was a great way to clean the extra ink off my brushes a bit, so they are ready to go next time I'm ready to ink blend!

Finally, I used the new XL Christmas Greetings stamp set to build a sentiment, arranging and stamping several of the sentiments in black ink. These sentiments are already nice and large - so using them together makes them even bigger and better!

Rainbow Roses - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made last week for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. Last week I pulled out LOTS of ink colors, to ink blend this gorgeous rose bouquet in rainbow colors - so much fun! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

I used a mix of pinks, oranges, and yellows to layer and ink blend the roses, and a mix of blues and greens on the leaves (all the colors I used are linked below). This gave me most of the colors of the rainbow - and close enough for what I wanted. I then heat embossed the stamped image in gold over the top.

Sentiment is Best Wishes hot foil plate - the reverse image done with the Solid Hot Foil Plate - and die cut with the coordinating die. I also added a Stitched Rectangle as a layer for a nice finished edge.

A few sparkly Crystals in coordinating colors finish this card off! Don't you love all that pretty gold shine on this card?!?

Joy and Smiling - Pinkfresh Studio Instagram Holiday Magic Hop

Hello! Today I am part of a fun Instagram hop to celebrate the new Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Magic Collection! Make sure and head over to Instagram to hop along and see all the giveaway details! I love using scrapbooking collections for cardmaking - you know I love my pattern paper, and adding coordinating embellishments just makes it even better! And this holiday collection is so bright and happy - you can't help but feel festive!

First up - I made one of my favorite card sizes - mini slimline! Yes, it was anther excuse to make an adorable coordinating envelope with the 12x12 pattern paper and the Mini Slimline Envelope die...it's too cute to resist!

I also used Mini Slimline Essentials to die cut some of the extra pattern paper from the envelope to create the base for my card front.

I added one of those lovely Chipboard Frames to the front, and then some various Ephemera and Puffy stickers.

Bits of foam adhesive on the "joy" and the sleigh add a bit of extra dimension beyond the chipboard frame, and a tiny Metallic Enamel dot in the center of the snowflake finishes it off just right!

This card gives me all the Elf vibes - anyone else?!?

I used one of my favorite 6x6 pattern papers from the pack for the background, die cut with Diagonal Stitched Rectangles, and mounted on a bold red cardbase.

The sentiment embellishment from Title Ephemera is popped up with foam adhesive for a touch of dimension...

...and then I just added cute little Puffy Sticker elements all around and under it! Finished off with a sprinkle of those Metallic Enamel dots in the silver.
