Unity Thursday Hop - Bikes and Flowers

Good morning! It's time for the Thursday Hop at Unity Stamp Company again today - and there are some awesome new stamps releasing, as well as a fabulous sale with those amazing prices that Unity Stamp Company is known for! Here are some of the cards I made with the new releases - starting off with the cute tandem bike:

For this one I added some washi and jute twine, a couple of little brads to the centers of the bike wheels, and some torn edges for texture.

These next ones are all the same layout and design, just different colors, and using the 3 different stamp sets - they are all so beautiful!!!

This one is a yellow color scheme - a little Heidi Swapp Color Shine splattered in the background.

This next one uses a pink color scheme - also using Heidi Swapp color shine, just a different color:

I used Lil' Inker's Quilted Stitched Pattern Die for the white base - love the bit of texture it gives, while still keeping it clean and simple.

This last one is kind of a cross between cream and kraft in the color - this time with some Mister Huey's splatters to coordinate:

All the center panels were cut with Lil' Inker's Stitched Mats: Side-Stitched Rectangles. I added the sentiments on vellum, making a hand trimmed banner, and finished off with some jute twine tied around the card.

Don't forget to leave a comment here, and on the rest of the DT blogs for a chance to win this weeks giveaway! :)

And of course, make sure and check out the amazing sales to go along with the new releases - not to mention the beautiful new website! It even has a wish list feature - something that has been asked for by so many people for so long!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Hello There - Runway Inspired

Hello! Back again today with a card for the brand new Runway Inspired challenge - here is the inspiration for this time around:

I used some Lil' Inker Designs stamps and dies to put my card together. In hindsight, I wish I had masked between each color for a cleaner line, instead of blending it together. That green between the blue and yellow is driving me nuts! But with an upcoming trip, I just didn't have the time to fix it!

I stamped my patter using Really Rosemaling Stamp set, then die cut the panel with Dual Dotted Rectangle Dies. Blended MFT dye inks with a blending tool, stamped the sentiment on vellum and heat embossed, then folded it around. Added a few angled strips of cardstock behind, then mounted with foam adhesive on a white woodgrain cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll join us and play along - can't wait to see what you make!

Chalkboard Fall Card

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a card for Unity Friends with Flair that I made for Eyelet Outlet - it was shared on their blog a couple of days ago HERE.

I used the beautiful word art image from my Unity August KOTM on some chalkboard paper cut with Paper Smooches Notebook Basics Die, and heat embossed it in white before smearing some white pigment ink around a bit on it. My background paper is from Echo Park.

I added the cute pumpkin brads, black bling strips, washi tape, and red bling to embellish - all from Eyelet Outlet. You can find a link to each item on the post at Eyelet Outlet (HERE).

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Friday!

Growing in Unity Day 5 and FWF

Good morning! Today is the last day of my week of Growing in Unity for Unity Stamp Company!  In case you don't know how it works, make sure and leave a comment everyday for a chance to win 2 Unity Itty Bitty stamps of your choice at the end of the week. I will draw a winner from comments left throughout the entire week.

I am also linking these cards up to this weeks Unity Friends with Flair.

Now...onto the projects! I decided it would be fun to take some of the fun Sassy Sentiments by Erin Schreiner and focus on those for the week! I have been using one sentiment two different ways for each day of this week, paired up with die cuts or other Unity stamp images. One card more classy or vintage inspired, and one more CAS, retro, or modern. Something like that anyway! So, for today I chose the sentiment "call me, maybe?" from the set called Sassy Pants. Here is the first card I made with it:

I made this one really classy and elegant! The phone booth is from the February 2013 Kit of the Month, stamped and heat embossed with gold glitter Zing embossing powder on some pattern paper by Crate Paper.

I also embossed the sentiment on a scrap of pattern paper, added some strips of May Arts ribbon, and a few sequins to finish it off.

Now the cute and fun retro card!

I also used the color combo for this month's Unity Be Inspired Challenge:

For this one I used some pattern paper from October Afternoon, trimmed out two of the images, then attached the fun telephone brads from Eyelet Outlet (you can find them HERE).

Used some Glimmer Mist and Mister Huey's mists on my kraft cardbase, added the image panels with foam adhesive, stamped the sentiment with MFT ink, then added a strip of washi on the bottom, and one more telephone brad.

That's it for today! I'll see you again tomorrow for two more cards using another sentiment! Have a great day!!!
