Technique Tuesday Countdown Day 2 - Happy Freezin' Season

Good morning! Welcome to Day 2 of sneak peeks for the November Release from Technique Tuesday! Woohoo!!! Lots of fun new stamps and dies in this release - make sure and check out the Technique Tuesday Blog to find links to all the Design Team's projects for today!

Today I have a fun card to share using a darling new stamp set called Hello Winter - anyone else have a friend or two that they could send this to? Or perhaps you ARE the friend that could receive it! Haha!

I stamped out the images and sentiment on watercolor paper, then used my Daniel Smith watercolors to color in the image. To finish off, I added a good heavy dose of white paint splatters to complete the snowy look!

Once that dried very thoroughly, I mounted it with foam on an Audrey Blue cardbase. I love the cool wintry colors!

Snowflake - Day the Lord Has Made

Sometimes you just need a super simple card - with only a few supplies needed, right? I pulled out some of my Simon Says Stamp supplies the other evening, without that plan. When I started this card, I entirely had plans to add a lot more to it. But when it hit this point, it just seemed like that elusive clean and simple perfection that I love and is so hard to achieve! Sometimes the hardest thing to do on a card is not add just.one.more.thing.

So, the snowflake is cut from silver glitter cardstock using Joy Snowflake Wafer Die. Sentiment is from Let Us Rejoice Stamp Set. Other than that, what you see is pretty much what happened!

Technique Tuesday Countdown Day 1 - Merry Peppermint Everything

Good morning! It's already time to start sharing sneak peek projects for the November Release from Technique Tuesday! YAY!!! Make sure and check out the Technique Tuesday Blog to find links to all the Design Team's projects for today!

Today I'm sharing a cute little holiday card using an adorable new stamp set - and the most fun and amazing new die as well!

Don't you just love that sentiment? The cute mug and sentiment are from the new Christmas Cocoa Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment with black Versafine ink and then heat embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder, then after stamping it in red, I added some sparkly clear Nuvo drops to part of the cup of cocoa for extra sparkle.

The die I used along the bottom is the amazing new Sweater Weather die - isn't it incredible? I can't wait to use it lots more! I added some red glittery Nuvo drops on there to pull everything together and add just a tad more sparkle.

I kept the color scheme in neutral grays, white, and black - with a bright fun pop of red! A bit of jute twine tied around finishes it off!

Heffy Doodle and Marvy/Uchida INSTAGRAM Hop

Good morning! Popping in this morning with a couple cards I made for a special hop over on INSTAGRAM as a collaboration between Heffy Doodle Stamps and Marvy Uchida! All the giveaway info and such is posted on Instagram - but I'm adding a post here with some extra details and info on my cards here as well!

I got two different sets from Marvy to combine with my Heffy Doodle stamps - first up, the set of 30 Le Plume Alcohol Markers. I used them to color my fun veggies using Veggie Patch Stamp Set for these! I thought they were super fun colors!

I liked that the colors were shown on the top of the markers, and the tips were a nice soft brush tip that was fun for coloring.

Not a bad assortment of colors either - I quickly swatched them here so I could see them organized by the color names:

Next up - I created this card with the Color In Watercolor Twist Pencils and the Color In Water Brush. These are kind of fun too! They go on like a colored pencil, and blend out nice and creamy and fun with a waterbrush! I used Dino Time from Heffy Doodle for this card:

These also have the colors on the end caps which makes them easy to grab as you are coloring.

These are the colors for these quickly swatched out on watercolor paper. I scribbled with each color, then blended some water on half of each one so I could see how they would look wet:

I put all my colored images onto these simple cards - fun and easy!

Also - don't forget the free ADORABLE Dinky Dinos set, free with orders over £30 - and with orders over £45 you receive the dies for free as well! AND - coupon code 58YbSx3L will get you 15% off your purchase in the Heffy Doodle Store (Coupon expires October 28th. Merry and Bright North Pole Scene - Heffy Doodle Blog Hop

Good morning! I'm super excited this morning to be hopping along with Heffy Doodle Stamps and some fabulous guests to celebrate the newest release - tons of inspiration, and of course some giveaways and coupons as well!

Today I'm sharing a happy North Pole scene I created with a mix of lots of Heffy Doodle new goodies - with an older die tucked in there for fun too!

I started off by creating the background with some subtle ink blending over my blue cardbase using distress oxide ink and the new First Snow Stencil. I then also used it to add some snow on the top portion using embossing paste and the snowfall part of the stencil. The scene was built using lots of fun images from the new Santa's Village Stamp Set - SOOOO crazy cute! I colored up each portion of the image with Copic markers.

I heat embossed my sentiment from the new Holiday Sentiment Duos on the bottom of the card, then adhered my images with foam adhesive. I added some clouds using the previously released Swirly Clouds Dies - the perfect finishing touch!

LID October Release Day 3 - Pie and Plaid

Hello! Welcome to the third and final day of the hop sharing projects with the BRAND NEW October release at Lil' Inker Designs! There is such a fun mix of products in this release - there is just a bit of fun fall mixed in with lots of great Christmas and winter theme items! You can find the entire new release HERE!

You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!

Today I'm pairing up Blossoms and Banners Autumn with the fun new Hap-pie Thanksgiving for my first card:

I started by stamping, coloring, and die cutting my images. I used Copic markers to color, and the coordinating Blossoms and Banners Autumn Dies, and fussy cut the pumpkin pie out. I then die cut the previously released Wrappers Delight: Sunburst Die from kraft cardstock, stamped the sentiment in the strip, and glued adhered that to my cardbase.

Next, I adhered my images, attaching the pie with foam adhesive over the other images. I trimmed off a touch of the whip cream on the stamped image, then die cut and adhered the whip cream from the new Pie Die set. I covered that with Glossy Accents, and then added some glittery Nuvo drops on the tops of the acorns to finish off!

My second card is actually one that was previously posted for World Card Making Day. You can view details for this card HERE if you're interested. I posted it again here since the Cover Up Die: Diagonal Plaid I used on it was released special a bit early for WCMD, but is also being featured as part of this release as well! So in case you missed this fabulous and unique die - you can check out the details on this card:

LID October Release Day 2 - Poinsettias and Peace

Hello! Welcome to day two of the hop sharing projects with the BRAND NEW October release at Lil' Inker Designs!

Today I have two Christmas cards to share with you - first up I paired the GORGEOUS new Classic Christmas Stamp Set with my watercolors - such a perfect combination!

I stamped the image and sentiment from this gorgeous set on my watercolor paper, then actually took it with me and painted it while waiting for my daughter at her piano lesson!

The detail on this stamp set is incredible! Beautiful for watercolors, fun for Copics, and the possibilities with solid color stamping or heat embossing with distress inks!

I kept it very simple to finish, matting with a bit of white cardstock, then mounting on a deep gray cardbase.

Next up I have a card featuring one of the new large word dies, Peace on Earth Word Die:

This card is a standard A2 card - so you can see how huge and perfect this sentiment is as a focal point on a card! I layered up lots of older pattern paper from my stash for this one, using a Stitched Circle for one layer.

I ended up die cutting this 3 times. I started off by layering together a white and black, slightly offsetting it for a drop shadow effect. When I got the card all assembled though, it felt too dark. On my oldest daughters suggestion, I cut it again from kraft cardstock and layered that over the black (too late to take it off!) - and I ended up loving how the black shows just slightly from the sides, adding a bit of definition. As a final finishing touch, I coated the word with Glossy Accents after mounting with foam adhesive on the card. LOVE the depth and shine you get with this technique!
