I so love how this card turned out! I used lots of the new release to create it - and the colors and die cut layers just make me happy! :) I started off by die cutting the leaves and flowers from the Beautiful Branch die a couple times from various Spellbinders colored cardstock. I also die cut the Dual Diamonds die, and while I didn't use the internal pieces, I love how it also creates a lovely lattice background! I blended some Zest ink in two corners of my white cardbase, then layered that lattice over the top. I then tucked the branch and flowers into the lattice and adhered it with liquid glue. To make the flowers pop a little extra - I added some of the new Starbright Embellishments to the center of the flowers - they are the perfect size for that! I added a sentiment from Handlettered Encouragement set, popped up with thin foam strips. And then because it felt like it needed a little something extra, I pulled out the Confetti Butterfly embossing folder and die, and die cut then embossed the smaller butterfly. I ink blended some Zest and Watermelon ink on the butterfly, then added the center cut from black cardstock. Finished off with some sparkly Glitter Drops on the butterfly! Here are more photos of the finished card including close up shots of all the little details:

Pony Smile Shakers - Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release Blog Hop Day 2

Good morning! Excited today to be joining in on Day 2 of an incredible blog hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW Friend Like You Release from Simon Says Stamp! Make sure and check out all the inspiration with this new release AND link up your creations as you receive your orders HERE in the Gallery created just for this release! Today I'm sharing a pair of cards using an adorable new stamp and die set, and turned them into shakers with the help of a couple other dies and embellishment mixes from the release!

I love these happy little shakers! And the new Pocket Ponies set makes me think of my childhood My Little Pony toys - I still have some of them that my daughters played with when they were little, and now other kids (nieces, nephews, etc...) that come to our house play with. They really are timeless! I started off by die cutting one of the Scalloped Circles dies and then die cutting the Solo Smile die to create the shaker window. I trimmed off one side to fit the edges of my cardbase, then filled each shaker with one of the new embellishment mixes - Sea Star and Tidal Wave. I added secondary sentiments, and then the cute little ponies from Pocket Ponies, both simply stamped in black with no coloring, to let the color from the shakers pop and steal the show! Finished off with a couple rows of Dazzling Gems in clear to accent! Here is a closer look at these cards:

Sun, Moon, and Stars - Simon Says Stamp Make Magic Release Blog Hop

Good morning! Excited today to be joining in on Day 1 of an incredible blog hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW Make Magic Release from Simon Says Stamp! Make sure and check out all the inspiration with this new release AND link up your creations as you receive your orders HERE in the Gallery created just for this release! And check out the graphic below to receive a FREE Art Supplies die set with the coupon code below through July 25, 2021 as well - while supplies last (code expires at 11:59 PM EDT)!!!

Today I'm sharing a card that is out of my usual creative zone - lots of layering and interesting things happening, and oddly enough, I am super thrilled with how it came out!

I started off using the new Mod Layering Leaves stencil to create a background. I used 3 colors of distress ink for the first layer - Rusty Hinge, Mustard Seed, and Speckled Egg. I then added the second layer of the stencil, and used the coordinating oxide inks over the top! Love mixing these together - and they both have a different look and tone and texture, so it made the background super fun!

Next, I used the new Sun and Moon Mandala stamp set. This is a fun red rubber set, that separates into separate pieces. I stamped the outer portion directly over my stenciled backgroundI stamped and heat embossed the moon in gold on black cardstock, then carefully fussy cut that image out to mount with foam tape on the background. I then stamped the sentiment directly on the cardbase as well.

To add some more interest to the design, I added some pretty Metallic Gold Pearls in two sizes around the edges of the circle, lining up with the pattern on the background. Love the extra dimension, and how it pulls out the gold heat embossing on the moon as well!

While I usually tend more toward clean and simple cards, it was fun using so many layers all together on this one card!

Ink Blended Swan Card - Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Blog Hop

Good morning! So excited this morning to be hopping for Day 2 of the blog hop to celebrate the Pretty Pink Posh's 6th Birthday, AND the AMAZING NEW Birthday Release from Pretty Pink Posh - so many wonderful love and birthday theme stamps, dies, and stencils!!! Keep reading for more info, details on my card I'm sharing today, AND of course, some giveaway info at the bottom as well!

Today I'm sharing this little fun size note card with no coloring needed - and I also filmed a video for it! You can watch it here below, OR on my YouTube channel HERE!

Here is the video sharing how I created this card:

This card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 - so the front white panel is 4 x 4. I started off by using the adorable new Love Background Stencil and a combination of Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick distress oxide inks to create the background.

I heat embossed the swans from Pond Friends in clear embossing ink, blended Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke ink over them, then die cut with the Coordinating Dies. The wreath is from the new Large Floral Heart stamp set, heat embossed in white, then with Mowed Lawn distress ink blended over the top before cutting out with the Coordinating Dies.

Heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock, then layered everything on the card, using foam adhesive for dimension.

Finished off with a few sparkly Buttercream jewels sprinkled around, because who can resist a bit of bling?!?!?

As part of the birthday festivities, you can receive 10% off your purchase using code CELEBRATE6, and with a qualifying purchase, receive these darling stamps and/or dies as well!

Pinkfresh Studios July Release Blog Hop

Good morning! So excited today to be hopping along with Pinkfresh Studios as we celebrate the BRAND NEW July Release! You aren't going to want to miss a stop along the way - TONS of inspiration and prizes up for grabs! YAY!

I have a $25 gift card up for grabs here on my blog (details below) - and the ENTIRE RELEASE is up for grabs as well! See details on the Pinkfresh BlogPinkfresh Studio is also having a special promo in honor of the new release! Between now and July 13th head to the Pinkfresh Studio Store and use code "FREESHIPWITH50" for free US Shipping and $5.50 off international shipping!

I have two cards to share with you today using some of the new stamps and dies!

My first card features two fabulous dies that work together - or separately if you prefer! I used Fancy Floral 1 Die and Fancy Floral 2 Die layered together for my card today - die cutting them both from watercolor cardstock, then layering together with a glue pen over another panel of watercolor paper before adding a messy and splattery watercolor wash with some of the fabulous Pinkfresh watercolors in Sunshine, Aquamarine, and Sky Blue (with a touch of Sapphire mixed in). Can you see the lovely dimensional texture here?

I absolutely love the texture from this - but the possibilities with these dies are endless! You can layer together different colors of cardstock for another neat effect as well.

I finished off with a sentiment from the new Bloom Stamp Set, heat embossed on a piece of black cardstock with a bit of silver thread tucked underneath - and a few Pearl White Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh for a touch of bling.

For my second card, I have this simple and clean card featuring the fun new Pretty Paisley Stamp Set:

As soon as I saw this stamp set, this floral image caught my eye. It looked almost Scandinavian - and somehow the blue and white color combo seemed perfect for it. I stamped it in a repeating pattern on a panel of white cardstock in a medium blue ink, then stamped the sentiment from the same set below in navy ink. It's hard to see in the photos, but I also added some random dots in a softer blue ink using the snow image from the new Skating Bunnies Stamp Set - adds a fun bit of texture! Finished off with some machine stitching around the edges, a few Pinkfresh Enamel Dots, and a soft blue cardbase.

Which card is more your style? Clean, simple, and monochromatic? Or the texture and dimension with messy watercolor on the first card? And what is on your wish list from the new release?!?!?

PPP September Release Hop - Christmas Fun!

Good morning! Super excited this morning to be hopping along on Day 1 of the Pretty Pink Posh September Release Blog Hop! This release has everything for the upcoming holidays - tons of adorable stamps, some lovely new dies, and of course a few new sparkly embellishments!

I have two cards to share today using some of the new goodies - first up, a cool wintery Christmas card featuring one of my favorites from the new release - Reindeer Friends! I just can't get over their cuteness!

For my card, I colored them up with Copics and cut them out with their coordinating Reindeer Friends Dies. I also added some accents with a white gel pen to help them pop a bit more. I then die cut Storybook 5 from a piece of white cardstock to build a shaker element, then blended two tones of distress ink on my white cardbase after masking off the edges so they would stay white. I stamped a sentiment from Holiday Greetings (last years holiday free with purchase set - it will be available to purchase this November!) inside the bottom window, then filled the top portion with the new Metallic Silver Confetti Mix. So sparkly and fun - and I love the unexpectedly cooler colors on this as well!

And then my second card...this one has a little bit of a SUPER exciting announcement with it! I don't know if you saw in the recent Pretty Pink Posh newsletter - but along with fellow DT member and friend Crystal Thompson, I will be teaching a special PPP Card Class at Impress featuring this and THREE other fun cards! If you are in the Seattle area I hope I get to see you there!

This uses the darling new Angel Friends and the fun and unique new Tic Tac Toe Die Set all in a cute little shaker card!
