MCS Challenge - Wrap it Up!

Good morning! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot - this week the challenge is to Wrap it up: packaging, gift boxes, bags, etc...

I had seen a similar idea some time ago on Pinterest, and thought it would be fun to do something like this as a treat packaging...and it meant I just HAD to make some yummy treats to put into it!

I used just the cheapest paper plates you can buy, folded up two sides, then folded in the other two sides, and cut in on one of the corner lines. I added adhesive, and folded up and tucked in the ends to form a box. Super easy!

Next I wrapped some Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot around, cut the new 4" Doily Die out of pattern paper, added a circle cut with white cardstock in the center, and stamped one of the fun sentiments from the new stamp set called Tasty Treats using MFT ink.

I trimmed off the bottom of the doily die so that it would lay flat on the bottom, then tucked in my pretty cookies. (They are Lemon Thumbprint Cookies with Homemade Lemon Curd if you wanted to know...and just to enable you a little more, you can find the recipe HERE!)

That's it! Super cute and fun! Fortunately I was able to find a friend willing to take delivery of these! We still managed to eat plenty of these cookies, but that helped spread the love a little! Have a great day - and I hope you will stop by over at My Craft Spot and share your own packaging with us!

SPS July Hop and Challenge

Good morning! Welcome to the monthly Shop Pumpkin Spice Design Team hop for July! You should have just arrived from Agnes, but if you just happened along, you can head over to our first stop today, Saundra - so you can hop along the whole way and not miss anything!

The challenge for this week is Stars or Fireworks - so I decided to go with stars for my theme!

Here are the items I used from Shop Pumpkin Spice:

The stars were cut with a Lawn Fawn die that I won a few weeks back and hadn't had the chance to use yet - and I stamped the sentiment with an older Bo Bunny clear stamp set that I got from SPS, but now can't find in the store - so it must be sold out! Finished off with a few sequins to tie it all together!

You are almost at the end of the hop, so your next and final stop is the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog to see what Denine made to share today! There will also be the monthly winner announcements, as well as the Linky for the new challenge! Can't wait to see what you join in and make! Have a great day!

I am also linking this up with the CASology Week 51 Challenge: Fireworks - (cause I kind of think this card looks like fireworks), as well as the Ribbon Carousel Blog Challenge Country Pride and Celebrations.

Unity FWF and Mojo Monday Sketch

Good morning! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July yesterday! I'm stopping in to share a card for Unity Friends with Flair and a couple of challenges:

I used the sketch for the Mojo Monday Challenge for this week:

And I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp and Show Anything Goes Challenge.

For this card, I used lots of Crate Paper paper and goodies, and a sentiment from the Unity June Kit of the Month. I stamped my image with MFT ink on a square cut with my Lil' Inker's Stitched square dies.

I made my own gold mist using a small mister bottle, some Martha Stewart gold paint, and a bit of water. I LOVE how it worked! This picture shows the glitz and glimmer a little better:

I added some jute twine to the tiny tag, and finished off with some clear sparkly sequins from Neat and Tangled.

Thanks for stopping by this Friday! Have a great weekend!!!

Feel Better Soon

Good morning! Just wanted to share a fun card using several of the new releases from My Craft Spot:

I can promise you are going to see lots more using this beautiful 4" Metal Doily Die:

I also used some Ivory Jute Twine from My Craft Spot to tie my bow:

I stamped the large band-aids and the circle sentiment on a strip of white cardstock, and stamped a Peachy Keen Face in the center of the circle sentiment. The inks were Versamagic - a perfect mint color, and that fun peach color. Those are two of my current favorite colors!

Doily was cut with white cardstock, sequins are from Neat and Tangled, and background paper is by My Mind's Eye.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a super wonderful 4th of July!!!

Tangerine Case Study

Good morning! Just popping in to share a card for a couple challenges:

I took the colors from the first photo, and the shape and layout from the second one. I used a PTI stamp set and some MFT inks to add the rows of diamonds.

Sentiment was stamped with MFT Kraft ink, I added some Avery Elle Kraft sequins, and tied a bit of jute twine around in a bow. Finished off by mounting the front panel with foam adhesive on a kraft cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your day is bright and full of sunshine - just like these colors!

Sweet Stamp Shop - Use What You Have Challenge #7

Hello! Today was one of those strange days that I just couldn't get my head on straight for some reason! So...I didn't really get much done around the house, but I did manage to get this card put together:

Here is the stash I raided to make my card - a bunch of tags that I don't even remember where I got them, a plastic drawer full of random ribbons that I never remember to use, and a fun older paper pad that is actually almost used up, but still sitting buried in my stash.

I used the sentiment I won a while back from Sweet Stamp Shop - LOVE it so much! I stamped on one of those tags I found in my stash using MFT ink, then added some of that older ribbon to the top of the tag.

Used a couple of the pattern papers from the paper pad, some black velvety ribbon and some crochet turquoise that matched perfect, then attached the entire front panel to a cardbase of Avery Elle Sea Glass cardstock - one of my FAV colors right now!

That's it! I noticed that there are only a couple entries to this challenge! You should come play along - it is so much fun to pull out and use some of the older and under-loved items in our stash!
