Here for you Always

Good morning! The daily catch up post coming your way! This is another card I made for the last publication call at PC magazine - the one that never made it to acceptance emails!

Also linking this up with this weeks Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Have a Heart:

For my card, I used the super adorable Unity Stamp HERE for you Map. I stamped it once on my woodgrain pattern paper (trimmed at an angle), then stamped and fussy cut it out of my pattern paper. The sentiment and heart were paper pieced on top, then coated heavily with Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents. I adhered that with foam adhesive, slightly offset to give a shadow effect. Added some MFT glimmer mist, and a few enamel dots to finish it off!

Never Lose Hope Skyline

Good morning! Thought I would continue on the theme of encouraging cards with another catch up card from last year - another card made for publication that wasn't selected.

For this one, I used the Altenew's Sketchy Cities America stamp set - heat embossed with clear powder on my gray Simon Says cardstock. I was impressed with how well it showed up with just clear embossing on the dark cardstock! Added a sentiment from the Unity Stamps January 2014 Kit of the Month, this time heat embossed in white. Matted that in white, then mounted on some soft yellow cardstock, also from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by again! Have a wonderful day!!!

Thinking of You

Good morning! Just wanted to share a card this morning that I made with 3 different Unity Kits of the Month - I usually try my hardest to use my kits right when they arrive, since it seems pointless to get them if I'm not going to use them, right? But, since we were moving, my November kit got forwarded to my parents house, then my December kit got pushed aside as we were unpacking...then my January kit came, and I realized I needed to get busy. So without planning on using them all - I put this card together using a stamp from each of them!

Also linking this card up with the current CAS-ology Challenge - Friend:

I used some gray cardstock from Simon Says stamp for my one layer card, heat embossing each image in white. I started off with the lace from the current January KOTM. Then I was trying to decide what to add next, and the beautiful girl from the November KOTM caught my eye, so on my card she went! Finally, as I was trying to choose a sentiment, I saw the perfect one on the December KOTM! Finished off by inking the edges softly with a little white pigment ink.

Super simple, flat and easy to mail, and the soft gray and white color combo seems perfect for someone needing some encouragement. I'm going to try to do this more often - put a couple different kits in front of me and see what happens!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

Sympathy Feathers

Good morning! Back again with yet another catching up post - a sympathy card this time!

I also thought it was a good match with the new Runway Inspired Challenge - the black with the pops of color, and the cool angles in the inspiration photo:

For this card I combined a feather stamp from Lil' Inker's Fancy Feathers stamp set - stamped in multiple colors of MFT ink, then meticulously gone over with a Spica glitter pen, then added my sentiment from He's a Wordy Buck from Unity Stamp Company. It needed a little something, so I added some black splatters with a bottle of Heidi Swapp color shine, then some pattern paper from Basic Grey to wrap it all up.

Thanks for stopping by again! Have a wonderful day!

Time to Soar

Good morning! Just stopping by to share another card I made for the current AEI{heart}U Challenge: Paper Piecing - if you haven't played along with us, I hope you will! I have been having such fun looking through all the amazing creations!

For this card, I used the fun Look Up stamp set, and some American Crafts pattern paper to paper piece my balloons, and even though it's hard to see in the photos, a couple coats of Wink of Stella for lots of shine! Added a few layers of paper, a heavy layer of Glossy Accents on the balloons, and a few clear sequins from the Winter Blend sequins to finish it off!

Thanks for stopping by this morning! Have a wonderful day!

My peace I give unto you...

Good morning! I am determined that I will eventually catch up on posting cards from last year! Even if it takes me until summer - haha! Anyway - here is another one from sometime before we moved last year:

I used a beautiful Unity set for this card - Vintage Scripture, and stamped it on some May Arts linen ribbon. Some more ribbon, jute twine, a doily, and some Basic Grey pattern paper finished this card off!

Birthday Bunny - MFT Sketch Challenge

Good morning! Last week I took some time to play along with a challenge - but didn't have a chance to photograph it in daylight until yesterday afternoon! Here is my card:

And here is the sketch - for the current My Favorite Things Sketch #211:

This card changed a little bit from my original plan - at first I intended to make my oval background by masking out with a stencil, which I did - but it felt like it didn't pop enough, so I just layered the vellum over the top. If you look closely, you can still see the embossing paste dots behind! I heat embossed an older (I believe retired) image from MFT in black on the vellum, leaving part of the design off the edge. Heat embossed my sentiment from the same set on a strip of Limelight Cardstock - the same as my card base. Added a tiny clothespin and some jute twine to finish it off! Oh - and pattern paper is from Glitz Designs.
