Getting a jump on Christmas cards...

Good morning! Life is certainly getting busy these days! I did manage to sneak in a quick card the other day to share with you though!

I used a Unity Stamp for the main image, heat embossed and colored with copics, then used some Tim Holtz distress ink to age it all. The sentiment is from Pumpkin Patch clear stamps, stamped and heat embossed on the a label die from My Creative Time that I distressed before stamping the image.

Added some Crinkle ribbon, a button, and some PTI twine to finish it all off.

Thanks so much for visiting! I will hopefully be getting some stuff done soon, since I have 4 birthdays in the next four days that I need cards made for...time to get busy!

Sweet 16 card!

Yesterday was my Sister-in-law's 16th birthday - and she has been counting down the days until she can get her driver's license! So...it only seemed fitting to make her a card with a car on it! I chose the car from Nifty Fifties and used some paper by Basic Grey and My Minds Eye:

And, my daughter thought it would be a great idea to make it wobble, SOOO...we put it on an Action Wobble:

Cut a tiny license plate using one of the labels from Preserves, and stamped on an abreviated "sweet 16" using Unity Stamps and Pink By Design stamps. Added a sentiment from My Creative Time on a handcut banner to finish it off.

Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

Sending smiles across the miles!

I couldn't believe that I had never inked u this stamp from the Unity April 2011 KOTM - so I decided to play with it the other day - and keep working on my newly developing copic coloring skills (which have a long way to go!)

I stamped the image on some Papertrey Ink Cardstock, and colored it with my copics. Afterwards, I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the PTI linen Impression plate.

I then matted it on white, and mounted it onto some more of the same cardstock on which I had stamped a sentiment from Papertrey Ink - that goes PERFECT with this image!!! - and also had been textured.

I really love the texture that the linen plate adds - I want to put it on EVERYTHING!!! Anyway - thanks for stopping by again! Hope your weekend is fabulous!

Unity Friends with Flair - and more Brandy and Emma

Good morning! Happy Friday - which means it is time for Unity Friends with Flair! Make sure and visit the Unity website to read all the details!

For my card this week - I used the fourth and last of my Brandy and Emma sets:

I stamped it on kraft paper, heat embossed with black embossing powder, then colored with copics.

Added some doodles with my white gel pen, hand cut the banner on the bottom for the sentiment, and finished off with a bit of PTI twine.

Thanks so much for visiting!!!

Even more Brandy and Emma - Constant Companions

Good morning! I have yet another Brandy and Emma card to share with you this morning! This one uses the set called Constant Companions - again from Unity Stamps.

I colored the image with my copics again, rounded the edges, used some Tim Holtz distress ink around the edges, and some more October Afternoon paper.

Thanks for your visit today! See you some more tomorrow!

More Brandy and Emma: Thinking of You

I'm still having fun with the new Brandy and Emma sets from Unity Stamps - isn't this little girl just the sweetest thing ever?!?!? I used my Copics again - maybe I'm starting to get the hang of them?

Also used some October Afternoon paper, Tim Holtz distress ink, a bit of yellow ribbon, and my Martha Stewart corner rounder.

Thanks for visiting today - hope to see you again soon!

Yourstory Project, mini album/journal

So since my two daughters saw me playing with my new Yourstory machine, they have been asking and asking me to make them a book as well. So, we sat down together and they picked the colors and cuts they wanted to decorate them. Here is what we ended up with:

Katie picked the cut from A Child's Year of a girl reading - because she LOVES to read! She also picked the embossing folder - because it had letters and words like a book. Her name was cut using one of the fonts from Hannah Montana cartridge.

Amy also picked a cut from A Child's Year - of the girl holding a kitty - because she is totally my little animal lover. And...we have a cat, so she thought it was perfect. She also picked a polka dot folder to emboss it through the Cuttlebug. The font for her name is also from Hannah Montana.

We finished off with a bit of stitching around the edges. Here they each are with their finished project:

I am entering this in the Cricut Circle weekly challenge - Mini Albums. They aren't entirely certain what they are doing with them, but I know at least some pictures will probably end up in them. So far, they have wanted Mommy and Daddy to write letters to them in their books, so they can wake up in the morning and be surprised to read what is written. They LOVE them, and it is such a sweet memory for them!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
