Bold Art Deco Strips - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm doing my best to work my way through my box of supplies from Simon Says Stamp that I haven't had a chance to use - it's kind of a fun challenge for me to try to make something with as many separate items when I receive them as possible. I loved this set immediately when I received it, and I love the way this card turned out!

I started off by picking a fun color combo from my pack of Concord and 9th cardstock, and cutting most of the colors into thin strips. I added some white splatter to my background piece, then popped the strips up diagonally with foam adhesive strips, trimming off the excess. Next up, I stamped in black and clear heat embossed the amazing Deco Blossoms stamp set, then die cut it with the coordinating die. It is such a statement image, don't you think? I popped that up with more foam adhesive on my diagonal strips, then added a sentiment from Beautiful Friend EZ Strips, trimming it into a thin strip with my paper trimmer. Finished off with a couple rows of Clear Dazzling gems for some sparkle! Here is a closer look:

Gina K August Release Cards for Simon Says Stamp

Hello! Stopping by tonight to share a few cards I created with the newest Gina K Release that is now available at Simon Says Stamp! They were kind enough to send me a few items from the release, and I put this trio of cards together using a few of the new sets!

I used a fun mix of stamping, ink blending, stenciling, and of course some sparkle and shine to create these cards! The 3 sets I got the fun of working with were Garden Party (love the coordinating stencil!), Lovely Ladybugs, and Friendship Bracelet. I kept my color scheme fairly similar, using aquas, pinks, yellows, and oranges for the most part. Hexagon Tiled Floral Card - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I have a card I so enjoyed putting together with lots of die cutting using some fabulous dies from Simon Says Stamp. I love this color combo - and how it falls somewhere between summer and fall tones, which feels like exactly where the seasons are hovering as well!

I started off by cutting a few of one of the smaller Elongated Hexagons from a mix of Sage, Apricot, Honey, and Rainforest cardstocks. I then arranged them to create a fun background, popping them up with foam adhesive, and trimming off any overhanging edges. Next, I die cut the Sunblush Flowers die set - one that I hadn't had a chance to use yet. Along with cutting the flowers and stems, I also cut some extra leaves to tuck around the card - all using the same colors of cardstock as the hexagons for a cohesive feel. Sentiment is from Heirloom Roses set, heat embossed in black on white cardstock. I finished off with several tiny Clear Dazzling Gems, a bit of Nuvo glitter drops over the flower centers, and a tiny White Twine bow adhered to the floral stems! Ray of Light - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I've got a bold floral card using some lovely supplies from Simon Says Stamp - and a surprising way that I ended up using some leftover supplies for this card! They were accidentally a perfect match - love when that happens! 

This card actually started off with the Dot Petal Pattern stencil - it had been sitting in my stash since it's release, and I hadn't had a chance to put it to use. I pulled out some Gina K Kelly Green cardstock, and used Rainbow Splash Grass and Emerald inks to do a tone on tone effect, blending Grass over the entire panel, and Emerald around just the outer corners. I added some white splatter to two corners for some extra texture and interest. I found that glittery arch in my stash that was cut from Pinkfresh Glacier glitter paper using the Stitched Arches die previously. It was a larger size than I wanted for this card to avoid covering up too much of the stenciling, so I grabbed a smaller one and cut it down slightly (saving the frame I made to use on another card, of course!). As I dug through my pile of leftovers, I found those sunflowers that I had stamped out from the Sunflower Meadow set - and look how PERFECTLY those colors matched! It's like they were made to go together! They had been stamped with Butter, Zest, Honey, Allspice, and Lucky inks. I layered those on the arch with varying amounts of foam adhesive squares for plenty of fun dimension. Finished off with a sentiment from EZ Strips Glow On reverse sentiment strips, hand trimmed into a thin banner shape. Here are more photos of the finished card:

Loved Beyond Measure - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! I made it back from a quick trip to Ohio for some STAMPtember planning and excitement, and after a couple days of catching up and recovering, I managed to sneak in a few cards! First up - I'm sharing this fun bold and graphic design using a few various sets from Simon Says Stamp - I love the unusual layout, and the bold pop of black with those dreamy colors!

This card has such a unique layout - and I love how it turned out! I started off with those two panels of colored cardstock. They were leftover from another project (that is using the STAMPtember release that I can't share yet...stay tuned!) - and I didn't want to let them go to waste. I had cut out some partial Stitched Circles out of A2 panels of Gina K Sweet Corn and Peach Bellini cardstocks. So I layered them with foam adhesive strips on a white cardbase, and just switched the layout of each one. It created a fun geometric shape in the center of the card! I then die cut some black cardstock with Basil Leaves die for some bold contrast to add to the clean and graphic feel of this card. I trimmed off a bit of the stem, tucked them in the frame, and adhered them with a bit of liquid glue on the stems and the base of each leaf. I added a sentiment from EZ Strips Beautiful Friend Reverse sentiment strips, and a few Dazzling Black gems to finish it all off! Here is a closer look:

My Kind of Weird - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Do you ever just have an idea for a card that makes you giggle, and then you are able to create it just the way you imagined, and it's even funnier than you thought?!? I spotted this sentiment from the last release from Simon Says Stamp, and as I was going through die sets I hadn't had a chance to use yet, I spotted these seagulls, and BOOM! I just knew they were made to go together!

I started off by die cutting the Silly Seagulls set, and assembling all the layers together. I used Smoke, Creamsicle, and Lipstick cardstock - along with white of course! I also die cut and assembled the Weathered Pilings die set from Dark Chocolate, Rainbow Splash Caramel, and metallic silver cardstock. I die cut a window in a panel of white cardstock using Chunky Ovals dies, and ink blended some Marine ink on the cardbase from the top down to add some contrast and the effect of some sky in the background. I layered everything together with foam adhesive, then added that hilarious sentiment from Classic Friendship set. And then, the finishing touch? I pulled out some tiny wiggly eyes to add to the seagull with the hat. Haha! That was the exact thing it needed to pull the entire card together, don't you think?!?
