Pinkfresh Studio April 2020 Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop

Good morning! Today is an amazing blog hop to celebrate Pinkfresh Studio's April 2020 Stamp and Die Release! You aren't going to want to miss a stop along the way - TONS of inspiration and prizes up for grabs! YAY! You also might want to pop over to the Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Page at 10 AM Pacific Time this morning - I will be going LIVE featuring some of the new releases (scroll to the very bottom of my post to see the card we will be creating), and there will be a gift certificate up for grabs as well!

You can also receive free shipping on any order of $35 or more through May 7th - so a great time to pick up anything you have your eye on!

I'm just going to warn you right away - this is a HUGE post, and there are a lot of photos! I went a bit crazy with this release - but I think you'll be able to see why fairly quickly. :)

First up, I have this duo of cards featuring some ink blending and white die cuts - one of my favorite combos!

For this first one, I ink blended the background using Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Clementine, and Persimmon ink. I also added a bit of splatter with some Perfect Pearls for some sparkle on the background.

I layered over all 6 of the new Floral Circles Dies die cut from white cardstock.

The ink blending on this second one uses Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Mermaid Cove, and Tidal Pond. I love how these inks work together in color families for a perfect ombre style blend!

This one has the beautiful new Ornate Floral Die layered over the ink blended background.

Both cards alwo have a sentiment from the new Layered Script Words stamp and die combo. I popped each layer of the Coordinating dies up with foam adhesive for lots of dimension - and the shadow portion of the die I also ink blended the color on for a perfect coordinating with the background on each card.

These are finished off with a sprinkling of coordinating jewels from Essentials: Jewels Mix.

Next up - I am loving this new Color Block Rainbow Die!

I couldn't resist coloring up each ray of the rainbow with our gorgeous rainbow of liquid dye inks! I die cut the entire thing from watercolor cardstock, then colored on each piece - keeping the color most intense in the top left corner, then fading out to the bottom right.

Once those dried, I mixed some Perfect Pearls with water and painted over each strip. This added fabulous shimmer and sparkle, and also slightly softened the colors.

I used the negative die cut as a place holder to attach each piece of the rainbow in place with foam adhesive on a white cardbase. This gave me perfect placement and it was super easy!

I added a sentiment using Phrase Builder Hello Die, and a supporting sentiment from Keep Going. I also rounded off that top right corner to carry through the rainbow feel.

Finally, I added a sparkly finish with some Essentials: Crystals - coordinating them to each panel of the rainbow, and adhering one each of the 3 sizes in a row on that left edge. So much rainbow sparkly goodness - I almost can't stand it!

Moving on from the rainbow to some softer and more muted tones for the next two cards.

This card features a fun woven background that I created using the new Color Block Stripes Die. I die cut it from white, then turned the solid strips and wove them through the negative die. I used all but one of the strips in this background. I layered it over some cream cardstock for a slightly tone on tone look. Love the effect this gave!

I layered the beautiful new Modern Layered Floral over the top, stamped in some non-traditional colors - Lemon Whip, Marigold, Warm Buff, and Espresso.

I added my sentiment, again adding a word from the new Phrase Builder Hello dies, and the supporting sentiment from the same stamp set.

Finished off with a few sparkly jewels from Essentials: Jewels Mix.

And finally, a super neutral and elegant card featuring the new Take Pride stamp set!

I stamped this on black ink with some new Altenew Gold ink that I recently acquired - yep, this is gold stamping, not gold heat embossing! Although that would look lovely as well.

I mounted it with foam on a Diagonal Stitched Rectangle, and stamped a sentiment from Keep Going in the center.

I added some pattern paper on the background from the Super Cool 6x6 paper pad with a few black splatters with my Licorice Liquid Watercolors.

Finished off with a few more crystals from Essentials: Crystals Mix! Love the color of these that are almost gold!

Here is the card I am going to be creating Live on the Pinkfresh Studio Facebook page at 10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT - using 3 different sets from the new release! There is also a giveaway up for grabs, so don't miss it! This uses the fun new Color Block Diagonal Stripes, Believe in Yourself, and Simply Sentiments You stamp set. Can't wait to see you there!

I Really Like You - Simon Says Stamp Card

Good morning! Dropping by this morning to share a card I created using an alcohol ink background I created earlier this month (with a short video on Instagram for fun!) - and long awaited stamp and die set that I ordered back in February along with some pre-order new items from Simon Says Stamp. As we all know, the world got a bit crazy after that time, and it wasn't until recently that those items shipped. Needless to say, it felt a bit like Christmas opening those two packages - and I couldn't wait to put this stamp and die to use!

The background was created with Flamingo and Lemonade alcohol inks on Yupo paper, with a good bit of Alcohol Blending Solution. You can scroll back on my Instagram account if you want to see the video if it coming together.

Next I paired up the CZ Design Like You Die with the Like You Words Stamp set. I die cut the top layer of the die with SSS Magenta glitter cardstock, and the bottom from white cardstock and layered them together.

I popped that up with foam adhesive on the background, then heat embossed supporting sentiments from the stamp set on black cardstock, trimmed them down, and adhered them with foam adhesive as well.

Finished off with a couple jewels from Pretty Pink Posh for sparkle - coordinating them with the background so using Flamingo and Marigold. I absolutely LOVE this color combo!
