Today I'm sharing a fun snowflake card, but adding some plaid, gold foiling, and subtle glitter for a more stepped up and elegant card!

I featured the beautiful new Sparkling Snowflake Frame and Trio wafer die on this card - die cut from subtle Champagne Glitter cardstock. It's just barely ivory, so it sparkles, but in a slightly understated way that was just perfect for this card. I die cut the extra trio of snowflakes as well, and used them on a card I shared a couple days ago (you can scroll to the bottom to see that card as well!)

If you know me, you know I love a good pattern paper. And this pattern paper from the Pinkfresh Happy Holidays 6x6 paper pad was just the perfect backdrop for this card.

I chose a sentiment from the Bold Christmas Acetate Sentiment Strips - I added foil to them using Deco Foil, and my Pinkfresh Solid Hot Foil Plate. If you want to see how to do that, you can check out this video HERE that I created a while back showing this technique. These sheets are toner based, so normally you would use them with a laminator or Minc machine - I love that I can use my Solid Foil Plate and reduce one appliance in my limited craft area!

I trimmed some white cardstock using the previously released Scallop Stitches wafer die on both sides to create a strip to add my foiled sentiment. I adhered it with tiny bits of liquid glue so it wouldn't show through the acetate - and hid it behind the foiling, not in the open areas where the words are.

I used thin foam adhesive strips around the outer edges of the die cut frame to give it a bit of dimension, and then tucked a few other tiny strategic pieces under some of the parts of the snowflakes to add stability.

Finally, I embellished with a few sparkly Glitter Drops from Pinkfresh Studio in Gold, Leaf, and Aqua - I can't get enough of these beautiful embellishments right now!

If you are looking for a bit more inspiration with this fun release - I shared this simple and elegant card a couple days ago when the release went live. You can read all the details for these cards HERE if you want more info:

Peace on Earth - Simon Says Stamp Holiday Sparkle Release

Hello! I'm dropping by tonight to share a card with you using the BRAND NEW Holiday Sparkle release from Simon Says Stamp! My first card to share is a very simple and elegant card featuring one of the new dies, 3D embossing folder and die combos, and acetate pre-printed sentiments!

I started off by using the new Country Church 3D Embossing Folder and die combo. I used white cardstock, and die cut the layering pieces also from white cardstock for a elegant tone on tone effect. Something about white on white is just so fun! And it added a tiny bit of extra dimension to those pieces.

I adhered those on with tiny dots of liquid glue to attach them to my card, this way there was no adhesive showing through the acetate, and it hold securely nice and easily.

I added some snowflakes using the separate pieces in the new Sparkling Snowflake Frame and Trio wafer die - die cut from SSS Champagne Glitter Cardstock. This was another way to maintain the neutral feel to this card, but also add a bit of glitter and texture to it as well. I adhered those with just touches of glue in the centers.

Finally, I added a good sprinkling of Pinkfresh Metallic Gold Pearls to enhance the gold on the sentiment, and add a bit of extra sparkle and shine!

You can check out the entire NEW release HERE:

Foiled Thankful Leaf Duo - Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit

Hello! I'm back to share a couple more cards using the BRAND NEW (well...at least still fairly new!) November 2022 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Full of Thanks! This month's kit is perfect for fall, and perfect for the cards this season always makes me think of - thank you cards! The included stamp set by the same name has some cute fall images with some great sentiments - and also has coordinating stencils for coloring! There are also some fun foil options (I'm sharing cards with those today!), low tack tapeadorable little scissors...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

Today I'm sharing a little card duo using the fun foil options in the kit - they made for some super simple and easy card designs that also have some sparkly fun foil effects!

For both these cards I used the fun Fall Leaf Adhesive Transfers in the kit. They adhere to your cardstock just with the pressure of going through a die cut machine, then you add your foil, and run them through again to adhere the foil. You can use a laminator, but since you don't have to, I skipped it on my cards, and love the finished effect!

So hard to see in the photos, but for this card I used Pewter for the leaf, and Gold for the sentiment. I trimmed both panels down, and popped up with foam on a panel of Kraft Woodgrain cardstock to add to the rustic feel.

For this second card - again hard to see in the photos! - I used Copper foil for the leaf, and gold once again for the sentiment. I also embellished both cards with Pinkfresh Butterscotch Glitter Drops for a touch of extra sparkle.

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE:
