Good evening!!! So - this little blog is celebrating FIVE years this month - on October 20th!!! I can hardly believe it has been that long, and yet in some ways I don't remember not doing this. I have been SOOOO incredibly blessed by all the amazing people I have met through this hobby - and so incredibly lucky to work with some AMAZING products and companies. To celebrate I have lined up TONS of giveaways from some of these amazing places. HUGE thanks to each of them for their generous donations of prizes - I'm super excited to be able to share them with you!
So, today's giveaway is a good one I'm telling you! Simon Says Stamp has super generously donated a $50 gift certificate to one lucky winner! YAY!!! I'm excited to begin working with them starting this month, and sharing lots of fun projects using some of their exclusive stamps, dies, inks, cardstock, and more! SSS has just finished celebrating STAMPtember - a month long celebration of stamping, marked by some amazing release and exclusive collaborations with lots of amazing companies! They also carry a large line of just about anything craft related that you could want or imagine. They have an active blog - full of fabulous inspiration, and two wonderful challenge blogs - the Monday Challenge Blog, and the Wednesday Challenge Blog, with weekly challenges and giveaways.
I used one of the adorable STAMPtember releases from SSS to make my card below:
I used one of the adorable STAMPtember releases from SSS to make my card below:
I used the adorable new SSS Warm Christmas Wishes stamp set, stamped with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid ink, and colored with Copics on Copic X-press it Blending cardstock. I don't have the matching dies, so I just fussy cut them out. I layered them with my favorite foam adhesive together with some pattern paper from Basic Grey's 6x6 Juniper Berry paper pad, and the red gingham which is from My Mind's Eye Sleigh Bells Ring 6x6 paper pad (no longer in stock at SSS, but there are some items from that line that you can still find HERE). I rounded one corner using my nice and hefty We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper, and tied some black May Arts jute twine around, threading through a hole in the rounded corner before tying. Finished off with some enamel dots and a bit of Glossy Accents on the sunglasses and the lights on the trees!
You can enter the giveaway below using Rafflecopter - this is my first time using this method for a giveaway, but since I have so many to do this month I thought it might help make it easier! So - if there are any bumps along the way, please forgive me as I figure them out?
All giveaways will stay open until the 20th (the official birthday date!) and I will announce all winners that day! If you already follow on Pinterest, Youtube, or Facebook - feel free to leave your name for each day of giveaways, no need to be a new follower only!
Have a wonderful day - and good luck!
This card is amazing and thanks for the chance to win!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic card! My favorite store is probably Hobby Lobby, which is the main store I have around here. I also like shopping online at Joanns. When I get to a larger city, I like to get to Michael's.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card and congrats on 5 years. I love to shop both but have been online shopping more lately at Unity Stamps.
ReplyDeleteLove that penguin! Congratulations on 5 years! I love shopping online for most of my crafty goodies from Simon Says Stamp but sometimes like to go to my local craft store to see what they have.
ReplyDeleteAwww your card is soooo cute. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI like to shop both in stores and online.

Congrats!! I do all my shopping online since we don't really have a LSS. I shop at SSS and BRI and directly from companies, and Amazon :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome card! I do most of my shopping online at individual stamp companies as well as Simon Says Stamp. I do go to the big box craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Joann, but unfortunately we don't have a LSS.
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS card - LOVE your COOL Christmas scene!!!
ReplyDeleteBricks & mortar stores are very few and far between for me, so online saves the day. Most of my shopping is done with Simon Says Stamp and some manufacturers like Paper Smooches, Winnie & Walter, Lil' Inker Designs and Pretty Pink Posh, the bonus is that SSS carries some of their products and MORE.
THANK YOU for giving us the chance to win for your Blog Birthday Heather :)
I prefer to shop online because we have a very few actual stores in India... I love shopping at STAMPlorations :)

Happy 5th blogiversary, Heather!
ReplyDeleteSince we don't have many local stores here I love to shop online at SSS. Their huge product range is just amazing!
Thank you so much for the chance to win your awesome giveaway!
Super cool card. Love glossy accent on the sun glass and the tree die cut.
ReplyDeleteI like shopping on both online and in-store. My favorite is Michaels and Tuesday Morning.
Very cool card! Happy 5th blogiversary, Heather!
ReplyDeleteI prefer shopping at local stores but unfortunately there aren't any close to me so my only option is to shop online. I love Ellen Hutson, great customer service and super fast shipping!!
I prefer to shop at a local store called Enchanted Cottage, but they don't carry everything I want so I do often shop online. Congrats on five years!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card! Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteAdorable penguin card! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Michele
What a fabulous group of sponsors! Such a darling card here!
ReplyDeleteLove the card can't wait to see what you do next.
ReplyDeleteVery cute card and congrats on starting to work with Simon!!!
ReplyDeleteI shop wherever. I don't have a local store, so most often it's Michael's with a coupon, and online when there are good sales.
Congrats on your 5th anniversary! Love your COOL penguin and his fab glasses!
ReplyDeleteI shop around and get my supplies wherever I can get the best deal, so it's about 50/50. Some of my fav stamps sets you can't get at Michaels or Hobby Lobby, so then I shop around on line SSS, JoAnn and Amazon are tops there.
I shop wherever I can get the best deal or to support independent businesses. My favorite online shop is the not2shabbyshop tfs hugs, Kristina
ReplyDeleteI do most of my shopping on line because the crafty stores in my town (Huntsville, AL) don't carry certain brands. Thanks for the chance and congrats on your anniversary!
ReplyDeleteCute card.
ReplyDeleteI like to touch and feel what I buy but when I can't get it locally I buy online. Love all the great online stamp companies there are.
Beautiful card!! I shop both online and in shops. But I do prefer to see the things I buy. There's no individual craft shops around where I live, so I prefer to shop at AC Moore.

Your cards are always so quirky and fun and just plain fabulous! I end up doing a lot of shopping on-line because sadly there is really only one large craft shop in Belfast, several of the smaller ones have closed down. :(
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Blogiversary!!! Such a big fan of all of your cards and love your style. I live in a very small town so have no craft stores here. I have purchased from Simon Says Stamp a few times and they are great. Do all of my craft shopping online.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is just too cool!! Love his glasses! Happy Blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteWow... cool guy! Love your website and congratulations on your Blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteThat is once cool card :)
ReplyDeleteI love either go shopping at store and online. Going to store is an excuse for me and my crafty friends to have a girl's night out ;) and shopping online is very convenient to me becuase we live wayyyyyyy far from the city. I love Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Target Crafty section!
Fabulous card .. love your coloring and layering !!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card! Love the idea of the tropical penguin! I have to do all of my shopping online since I have no local craft shops. :( I mostly shop at Jo-Ann.com

Super cool card! I'd much prefer to shop in a local craft store ... except there isn't one! So 99% of my purchases are done online - love the huge variety at Simon Says Stamp :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer to do most of my shopping online. I don't have an independent craft store in the area and Michael's and Hobby Lobby don't carry all the brands I love.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly how Christmas is here in NZ! I mostly shop online as local stores rarely carry the U.S. brands. Love SSS and Ellen Hutson!
ReplyDeleteI love shopping both on-line and in a real store. Love Simon Says Stamp and Ellen Hutson...
ReplyDeleteI usually do it online love Butterfly Reflections Ink or Scrapbook Pal
ReplyDeleteI shop online and in the store about the same I love Michaels craft store and Etsy online for my craft supplies
ReplyDeleteSadly there's only one small craft store here and they don't have a lot of stamping supplies. I get what I can from them but otherwise have to do all my shopping on line. When I travel to the US and go into craft stores I have to be physically restrained by my husband from melting the credit card! :D
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 5 years. That's a big accomplishment. Your penguin card is so very cute. I shop at my local stamp store when I can, but they don't always have what I'm looking for.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! What a great milestone! I for one would LOVE if we had a store in my area that sold a huge variety of stamps, but the only actually scrapbook store sells mostly paper and embellishments. So I do the majority of my stamping online. I'd have to say that I spend the most money at Papertrey Ink, but Simon Says and My Favorite Things have taken a big ol' chunk out of my spending cash too! LOL :) Those would be my TOP 3! :)
ReplyDeleteAMAZING Card!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the Design!! I Do ALOT of shopping on line as there are NO Stores Near me!! THANKS SO MUCH for sharing and for the chance to WIN!! Have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)
ReplyDeleteI like to keep my local scrapbook store in business. Love Neu Scrapbook Store in Indianapolis, Indiana.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog...love your cards!! I would rather shop locally but we don't have any brick and mortar stores left so I do all my shopping online for crafty goodness. Except for the big box stores...we do have all of those locally. I miss our small stamp and scrapbook stores!
ReplyDelete5 years? That's impressive! I so love those little sunglasses! The Glossy Accents on them makes them look so 3D and real. I shop about everywhere! I'm a demo for a stamp company, so I order mostly from myself, but I also love stopping in the local craft stores for accessories and other craft items, and recently discovered all the adorable things Simon Says Stamps carries. I always seem to have an online cart going over there these days!
ReplyDeleteI tend to do it at Hobby lobby alot not much on line. I love your fun card.
ReplyDeleteI accidentally entered as an Instagram follower but I do not have an account...please delete that entry.
DeleteCard made me smile. Thanks for sharing your talent and congratulations on your anniversary

ReplyDeletemy favourite is scrappingreatdeals.com as they are Canadian and local to me but SSS is a close second!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card!
I would rather shop at my local scrapbook store, but unfortunately,
the only one left within 30 miles of me, closed in May. So sad!
I have several online stores I purchase from, including SSS, Ellen Hutson, also Amazon :-)
I shop equally both ways.
ReplyDeleteHow did you get the sunglasses on that penguin to look so real? Like they had a reflection of glass.
This is a cute and cheerful card. :))
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! I actually prefer to shop online but because I don't like to pay shipping costs are usually shop at a craft store.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to shop in person, but reality is I shop almost exclusively online. I buy mostly from Simon Says Stamp - love that they have many brands I can order
ReplyDeleteCute card!! I do most of my craft shopping at Hobby Lobby when I get the chance.
