Blog Birthday Giveaway #8 - Lil' Inker Designs

Good evening!!! So - this little blog is celebrating FIVE years this month - on October 20th!!! I can hardly believe it has been that long, and yet in some ways I don't remember not doing this. I have been SOOOO incredibly blessed by all the amazing people I have met through this hobby - and so incredibly lucky to work with some AMAZING products and companies. To celebrate I have lined up TONS of giveaways from some of these amazing places. HUGE thanks to each of them for their generous donations of prizes - I'm super excited to be able to share them with you!

Tonight's giveaway is a prize package from Lil' Inker's Designs - I feel like I keep saying this, but one of my VERY favorite companies! Lil' Inker's has some of the most amazing dies that you can imagine - they were the first dies I saw with the now very popular stitched edges, and introduced the duel stitching concept in 2013. I also love some of their original background sized dies - not to mention the adorable stamps and fonts! I still can't quite believe that I get to be on the Design Team for Lil' Inkers - it was such a surreal moment getting the email invitation from Laura - the owner of Lil' Inker's - and one of the sweetest people I know!

We are smack dab in the middle of Design Team hops for the new release - I think this card below not only uses my favorite stamp from the entire release, but actually IS my favorite stamp from this release! It is called, appropriately, Oh Deer Christmas. I totally gasped out loud when I opened my DT package and saw this one! LOVE!!!

Here is that fun stamp set:

I colored it in soft vintage colors using Copic markers, stamped the sentiment and berries with some MFT dye ink, then die cut it with Stitched Mats: Circles - one of those dies with dual stitching. I die cut a background with Cover Up Die: Pointelle, added a strip of May Arts linen look ribbon, and added some machine stitching to hold those layers together. Added some soft cream pattern paper behind, and attached the deer circle on top with foam adhesive.

I am also entering this in this weeks Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Clean and Simple Christmas:

You can enter the giveaway below using Rafflecopter - this is my first time using this method for a giveaway, but since I have so many to do this month I thought it might help make it easier! So - if there are any bumps along the way, please forgive me as I figure them out?

All giveaways will stay open until the 20th (the official birthday date!) and I will announce all winners that day! If you already follow on Pinterest, Youtube, or Facebook - feel free to leave your name for each day of giveaways, no need to be a new follower only!

Have a wonderful day - and good luck!

  2. My favorite Christmas tradition was making TONS of varieties of Christmas candy with my family. We would start about a month ahead of Christmas and take ice cream buckets and add one layer of each candy in the bucket. By the time Christmas came, we would have variety buckets of Christmas candy to take to Christmas parties or to eat ourselves :) Your card is wonderful!

  4. I hope the kids never see this but I always make a trail of lollies on Christmas Eve from their beds to the Christmas tree. It used to be along the floor but once we got our Golden Retriever I had to start putting them up on the furniture. The kids always look forward to it!! Love your card, that deer stamp is so beautiful.

Your card is a DELICATE DELIGHT, BEAUTIFUL image, FABULOUS colouring, layers and textures - LOVE IT ALL!!!
THANK YOU for sharing ALL of your CREATIVE INSPIRATION!!!
Our Christmas Tradition no longer happens but it still holds wonderful memories and is always a topic of conversation at Christmas lunch. Grandma would always cook a hot Christmas lunch, even though it is in the middle of our hot summer, she would cook the pudding well in advance, Grandpa's only job was to paint the hearth and heat the pudding. It required having the water on the boil for several hours, so that it was ready just in time for dessert. Grandpa got distracted on year and when Grandma opened the calico and went to cut up the serves, it was a stodgy mess. Needless to say, Grandpa never had to look after the pudding again but Grandma continued to serve her delicious, prize winning puddings for many years after this. Another tradition, that I've taken from my Mother, is to have the Carols By Candlelight on the tv on Christmas Eve, the singing in the background long after everyone has gone to bed while I mop floors and do last minute wrapping :)
THANK YOU for the chance to win too!!!

  8. I have a large collection Santa's that I get out every year. some sit on the mantle, some are on the coffee table, some are just scattered wherever there's room. It's like a new collection every year - you forgot about some of the one's you have and seeing them is like seeing them for the first time again.
I haven't put them out for several years (it's getting to be too big a job) but I think I'm going to try this year.
Love the card. thanks for sharing.
    Happy blogaversary.

  9. I have a collection of Christmas (all types) that I cluster around the house in different areas. Every year during our Christmas Eve party it is sort of a game that my family tries to figure out which one is new this year. :) Love this stamp too and your card is fabulous!

  17. Such a beautiful card! I love that stamp set. Our Christmas tradition has always been that each child (and now grandchild) gets to pick out a new ornament and we write the date down on the ornament with a Sharpie so that when we decorate the tree we can recall which child picked out the ornament and what year we got it. Makes for fun memories when decorating!
