Good evening!!! So - this little blog is celebrating FIVE years this month - on October 20th!!! I can hardly believe it has been that long, and yet in some ways I don't remember not doing this. I have been SOOOO incredibly blessed by all the amazing people I have met through this hobby - and so incredibly lucky to work with some AMAZING products and companies. To celebrate I have lined up TONS of giveaways from some of these amazing places. HUGE thanks to each of them for their generous donations of prizes - I'm super excited to be able to share them with you!
Tonight I'm so excited to have a $25 gift certificate to Winnie and Walter to give away! Julie and Shay were so super sweet to provide it to me to share with you! Winnie and Walter is kind of a special company to me - I remember VERY well when they started, and totally fell in love with their beautiful fonts. I remember submitting cards for publication with some of their just released stamps, and having several cards published with them. They have continued to grow and amaze me with each and every release! I'm pretty sure it gets more amazing every time! Since then they have added stencils and some pretty amazing die cuts. I have also been so incredibly honored to serve a couple different guest design posts as a monthly "Leading Lady" and as "Talent in Residence" - seriously, I just love this company!
Here is what I made to share today - I am SOOO thrilled with how this came out! Love watercoloring! :)
For this card I used the beautiful flowers from In Bloom: Addie's Garden - stamped and heat embossed in clear on watercolor paper, then colored with Gansai Tambai watercolors. Once they dried, I fussy cut them out, then adhered to my panel of MME woodgrain paper. I just used a good blob of glue in the center of the flowers, so they dried with nicely curled edges for lots of dimension! I added the die cut Hello Cutaway - cut once in white and once in vellum, and stacked them together for a slightly softer white look, then adhered with foam adhesive. Finished off with a few of the newly released Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh - I thought they were the perfect finishing touch!
I am also playing along with one of the World Cardmaking Day Challenge - Watercolor:
This photo shows the dimension a little better than some of the others:
And...can I hear it for tonight's giveaway?!?!? YAY!!!
You can enter the giveaway below using Rafflecopter - this is my first time using this method for a giveaway, but since I have so many to do this month I thought it might help make it easier! So - if there are any bumps along the way, please forgive me as I figure them out?
All giveaways will stay open until the 20th (the official birthday date!) and I will announce all winners that day! If you already follow on Pinterest, Youtube, or Facebook - feel free to leave your name for each day of giveaways, no need to be a new follower only!
Have a wonderful day - and good luck!

ReplyDeleteYour watercolour flowers and woodgrain background are GORGEOUS, HAPPY happy too ... this is one of my favourite dies from W&W :)
The sentiment I have been using the most until recently was "Happy Birthday" ... since I got my "hugs" & "hello" dies from W&W, I have been giving them a workout and think they will overtake HB very soon. The best thing is, these cards will be totally unexpected throughout the year, no occasion and not my usual birthday greeting :)

ReplyDeleteI love using all sentiments but my favorites are the ones I can use on Just because cards!! Thanks, Hello, Grateful, You, LOVE, Happy, Joy and lots of other ones!
ReplyDeleteThese beautiful watercolored flowers that looks so bright and vibrant against the woodgrain background immediately reminded me of growing up on a farm in rural Iowa. It was common to see gorgeous flowers blooming up against some weathered old building and I was always surprised how the flowers always improved the appearance of the old building. The "droplets" you used here add a nice touch of elegance to your card.
