MCS January Release - Day 2

Good morning! Welcome back for the second day of sneak peeks for the newest release at My Craft Spot! As I said yesterday - this is a packed and fabulous release - I am in love with every bit of it!!! I used the stamp set we are sharing samples of today, "Jar Full of Spring" - only without putting any of it in a jar! Here is my card:

As soon as I saw the hearts from this set, I new I had to make a card with the candy hearts! I stamped the heart outline with My Favorite Things ink - nice and juicy and stamps perfect for these solid images! Then I stamped the "frosting" over the top in the same color ink, to leave a deeper color impression.

Next I heat embossed in white several of the different sentiments from the stamp set - just like the candy hearts! I inked the sentiment with a different shade of MFT ink, then with Versamark, then heat embossed with clear powder so it was shiny as well, and in the color I wanted!

I threaded some Caribbean sequins onto Ivory jute twine, then wrapped it around my card and tied in a pretty bow.

Finally, I used my Spica glitter pen to outline the frosting shape on the cards - it is kind of hard to see in the pictures - but the last one above shows it best! SO sparkly and pretty in real life!

Make sure and head over to My Craft Spot to see what the rest of the Design Team has put together - and leave a comment for a chance at today's giveaway:

See you back here tomorrow for more sneak peeks! Have a great day!!!
