Clean and Simple with Donna Downey Stamps

Good morning! One of my recent orders and winnings from Unity Stamp Company included a couple of beautiful Donna Downey stamp sets - I decided to put them to goo use and make a card with them!

I also used the new Runway Inspired Challenge for inspiration:

And broke out my sewing machine again to add some machine stitching for Virginia's View Challenge #3 Stitching:

Also still loving the Hip on Handwriting Challenge in the Moxie Fab World - I'm so glad there are stamps like this that I can use for that look, since I'm not in love with my handwriting!!!

I used the Donna Peony Stamp set for the flowers, stamped the solid one with Memento Luxe ink, then stamped the outline with MFT Kraft ink. I know it doesn't match up - but I did that on purpose to help achieve a more "artsy" look. I added the sentiment from the "Inspire" Words set using black Versafine ink. Rounded the top corner, added some random machine stitching to the bottom, and finished off with a few enamel dots - one of my favorite embellishments!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a great week so far!!!

  1. I love your CAS design, Heather! Your machine stitching is such a gorgeous design element along with the handwriting font! Thanks so much for playing Virginia's View Challenge!

  2. Crazy beautiful, Heather! Love how you added the stitches across the bottom!

  3. This is so awesome, Heather! I LOVE that big yellow bloom! Thanks for joining us on the Runway!

  4. What a beautiful card!! I love that large yellow flower and the fun detail of the black stitching at the bottom of the card. So unexpected but oh so cool!!
