LID April Release - Day 3

Hello! Back today for the final day of the new release hop at Lil' Inker Designs - there is such a fun combination of goodies in this release! You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!

Today I'm wrapping up with a couple of school theme cards - one as a thank you for a great teacher, and one for a graduate!

This first card I used the new Apple Shaker Die to cut the outline in black, then stamped a sentiment from Apple of My Eye and heat embossed in white for a sort of chalk board effect. I tied some jute twine around the apple in a bow, then mounted the apple with foam tape on a panel of rainbow plaid paper die cut with the middle of the Silly Stitched Squares Dies. I stamped another sentiment from  Apple of My Eye directly on the plaid paper, and mounted the entire thing on a kraft cardbase that I die cut with a new favorite Cover Up Die: Stitched Quatrefoil.

And then there is the fabulous new Grad Class Stamp set - perfect for the season of graduation that is just around the corner!

For this one I used the smallest die in Silly Stitched Squares Dies which is a little tag, die cut in black. Again heat embossed my sentiment on it in white, then added some ribbon and twine to the top. Used the gorgeous Cover Up Die: Stitched Quatrefoil again for the background, trimmed slightly and adhered to a blue cardbase to match my ribbon.

Your next stop along the blog hop is Jennifer Carter - head over there next to finish the hop before you go shopping. See you tomorrow with more projects and fun!

And now the really fun part! One lucky person is going to win THE ENTIRE RELEASE! Winner will be chosen from comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!
