Bold Butterfly Thank You - Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit

Hello! I'm here to share a couple of cards using the amazing and BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for November - Thanks & Leaves! This kit has a beautiful fall stamp set called Thanks & Leaves (kind of like the kit!), some beautiful butterfly embellishments (I used them on my cards below), some hilarious snarky sentiment stickers (I brought them in the car to read on a drive - had us all laughing!), and lots of other little bits and pieces as well.

I started off with these bold and simple cards featuring the butterflies, stamp set, and some distress ink blending:

I was so happy with how these came out! As soon as I saw these lovely butterfly embellishments, I knew I wanted to feature them on some cards. They were so beautifully detailed, I wanted them to shine right front and center without too many distractions!

For this first card, I blended Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch distress ink:

For the second card, I used warmer colors - Ripe Persimmon and Festive Berries:

I added some splashes of water on the backgrounds, then also added some white paint splatters for more texture and interest.

I adhered the butterflies with a good little squirt of Ranger Multi Medium Matte - and left them plenty of time to dry. Once it dried, it held it very sturdy and solid!

I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiments from the beautiful stamp set below the butterflies - isn't the detail on the butterflies amazing?

Here is a look at the entire kit contents - you can find it HERE:

Which color combo do you prefer? Warmer or cooler?

  2. With the holidays, I haven't had a chance to play with the November kit. These cards are excellent inspiration for me to get it out and play!!!
