Holiday Vibes Christmas City Cards

Good morning! I'm sharing these two cards on the Pinkfresh Studio Blog this morning - as well as here on my own blog! I had fun creating these two cards using the fun Cityscapes Die and Home for the Holidays Stamp set, paired up with some beautiful pattern paper from the Holiday Vibes Collection from Pinkfresh Studio!

These were so fun to pair together - changing up the pattern paper was a simple way to change the feel of the card from more of a night scene, to a bright and happy snowy scene! Because of all the pattern paper layers, I used just a soft blue Copic marker to add some shading and shadows to the scene - instead of adding too much color to compete with the design of the paper.

I love how the pattern paper on this first card looks like a snowy winter sky - and something about red and blue together on wintery cards makes me super happy!

This second card uses a deeper color for the background - which lends a more nighttime feel to it.

I also added some white glitter cardstock to the bottom of the scene, tearing the edge to give it a snow drift appearance - then added some more sparkle to the scene with some Nuvo Glitter drops on the rooftops, along the top edge of the windows and doors, and then on the trees and snowmen.

Finished off with a few enamel dots from the Holiday Vibes collection - so they coordinate perfectly!
