Elegant Floral Stripes - Simon Says Stamp Moments in Time Release

Good morning! Stopping by again today with a couple more cards using more of the BRAND NEW Moments in Time Release from Simon Says Stamp! For these cards, I used a technique that I demonstrated in a previous YouTube Live video - you can check it out HERE if you want to see it in action!

I used one of the large beautiful florals on the new Vintage Blooms stamp set to stamp directly on two corners of my card bases, then layered over strips of Gina K cardstock and restamped over the top to get a perfect crisp image over all the layers, and perfect alignment thanks to my MISTI. I stamped sentiments from the same set (isn't that a STUNNING font?) - then finished off with a few coordinating Dazzling Gems! Here are more photos of these finished cards:

For my pair of cards today, I used some of my favorites from the new release - and I love how they turned out! As I often do, I created two similar cards with slightly different colors and layouts.

I started off by die cutting two color combos of the new Tattered Daisy die - this bloom is so lovely! I used Spellbinders cardstock, and then used my color combo as the inspiration for the rest of the card! I used the Thank You Text background stamp for the backgrounds - stamping and heat embossing in clear ink. I then softly blended ink over it from the bottom, which created an emboss resist and revealed the text. I know the text is technically a thank you set, but it is subtle enough that I could stretch the versatility to work for these cards! The Banner Greetings sentiments are one of my FAVORITE items from the new release! I love that they come with two banner shapes, coordinating sentiments to fit BOTH of those shapes, then along with a coordinating die, they also have coordinating layering stencils that make them so fun! I colored them in contrasting tones with the background inking to coordinate with the cards. Finally, I used the new Delicate Stitched Borders die to cut a pretty border on a panel to fit along the bottom of the card, and used that to tuck my florals behind. Rounded off one corner of each card, then added a white twine bow, and a few Dazzling Clear gems to finish these off! Here are some more photos of the finished cards:

Thank You for Everything - Simon Says Stamp Moments in Time Release

Good morning! Stopping by again today with another card using more of the BRAND NEW Moments in Time Release from Simon Says Stamp! This time I used an embossing folder, and did a fun spotlight technique!

For this card, I started off with the lovely Floral Bunches 3D embossing folder, and embossed it on white cardstock. I then placed a white die cut circle in the center of the embossing folder, taped it in place, and embossed that one. You could emboss first, then die cut the circle, but this way keeps the die cutting from flattening the embossing. I ink blended over it in Surf and Sprout inks, then added it over the white panel with a bit of Big Momma foam adhesive for some subtle dimension. I trimmed the white panel down and matted it with a tiny bit of Audrey Blue cardstock, then mounted on a white cardbase. Added a sentiment from the new Orange Blossoms stamp/die set (I LOVE the font on this one!), and finished off with a white Lawn Fawn twine bow and a few coordinating Dazzling Gems in Sprout and Surf. Here are more photos of this card:

Rainbow Thank You Teacher - Simon Says Stamp Moments in Time Release

Hello! I'm super excited to share my first card using the BRAND NEW Moments in Time Release from Simon Says Stamp! This card uses some of the fun new items, and  branched out of my usual color scheme into a bold and fun rainbow! I love how it turned out!

I started off by die cutting the pencil from Pencil Embossing Folder and die a total of 8 times, and then running each one through the embossing folder to add the texture. I then ink blended over each one with various SSS inks to create a rainbow of pencils! I ink blended a bit of each of the same colors on the bottom of a panel of watercolor paper, then misted it with water and let the colors run together. I layered a piece of white cardstock over the top portion, then layered my pencils on with foam adhesive so they matched up with their corresponding watercolor portion. I used the new Thank You Teacher die to create the sentiment - using vellum for the shadow layer, and black cardstock for the main part. I covered the black with Glossy Accents when the card was assembled to add some fun shine! I added glitter drops to the tips of the pencils, as well as the erasers for extra sparkle. Finished off with some white Lawn Fawn twine in a bow, and a coordinating sprinkle of Dazzling Gems for each color pencil! Here are more photos of the finished card:

Watercolor Street Scene - Simon Says Stamp You Are My Favorite Release

Good morning! Today I have another card to share using some more of the new You Are My Favorite Release from Simon Says Stamp. I love this little row of shops, and the soft watercolor effect!

For this card, I decided to focus on the cute little store scene from The Little Things set instead of all the other elements. I heat embossed it with clear ink on white cardstock, then ink blended with Surf, Limelicious, Zest, and Cantaloupe ink before die cutting with the coordinating die. I then grabbed a panel of watercolor cardstock, and blended a little of the same colors in the same order on the top portion, before misting it with water for a soft watercolor effect. Once that dried, I added some Picket Fence Opaque Black splatters, and adhered the buildings with foam adhesive. For the sentiment, I used one from the new Inside Greetings 1, and I thought the new Squovals dies looked a bit like speech bubbles! To make it fit the card right, I die cut it and actually used the reverse side so the speech bubble came from the direction I wanted. I also cut one from black cardstock to layer underneath for a shadow effect. I added some glittery highlights on the buildings with Tonic glitter drops in Blizzard, then some coordinating Dazzling Gems in Surf, Sprout, Butter, and Peachy finish this card off! Here are more photos:

Sister You're the Best Heart Shaker - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I have a happy shaker card to share today, using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp - and some leftover items from another card set!

For this card, I had the negative piece from the Happy Hello scallop heart die, and thought it would be a perfect base for a shaker card! I created the shaker element, tucking in some tiny strips of SSS cardstock in Rainforest, Sage, and Honey. I filled the shaker with a beautiful mix from Picket Fence called Pick Me - I just love the color combo! I added sentiments from the EZ Strips Reverse Sister set - trimmed down with my paper trimmer instead of the coordinating dies this time. Finally, added a few Dazzling Gems in Prism to add a touch of extra sparkle! Here are more photos of this finished card:
