My Heart is With You - Simon Says Stamp Heart to Heart Release

Good morning! Whew - this past weekend my oldest daughter got married - if you follow me on social media, you may have seen a couple photos sharing about it. So exciting, and so beautiful, and also a whirlwind of work and emotions! I ended up taking quite a bit of time last week to focus on wedding preparations, and then unplugging yesterday to rest and recover a bit from the exhaustion. And now that she is off on her honeymoon, it's time for me to dig in and catch up on things in this neck of the woods!

So today, I've got another card to share using the BRAND NEW Heart to Heart Release from Simon Says Stamp!

This card used a product I had been wanting to challenge myself with for a while - using an acetate cardbase! I think there were some easier choices I could have made for the design, but I do love how this turned out! I used the new Falling Snow die for the background, cut from Bubblegum glitter cardstock. I die cut and assembled the new Bundled Snowman die, and My Heart is with You sentiment die, and adhered those on the glittery snow background. I then adhered it to my acetate cardbase with sturdy adhesive tape, but only behind the snowman and sentiments. I then die cut the base of both of those items 3 more times each, and adhered one on the reverse side of the front, one sandwiched opposite on the inside panel, and one on the back. All together, this allowed none of the adhesive to show, and an open spot on the inside to write a small note! I'll have a short video on my Instagram if you want to check it out a little better! I created a shaker card to feature some of the new dies from the release, as well as one of the new shaker mixes!

Shaker cards are such a great way to use the amazing embellishment mixes that keep releasing, and they are always so much fun! This one embraces the purples with the Lavender Hearts embellishment mix, paired with some ink blending with previously released Fairy and Plum ink colors. I die cut a window with the new Chunky Scalloped Ovals die, and then added one of the Hearts Aplenty die cut from Tonic Sugar Crystal glitter paper and adhered with liquid glue over the acetate. I finished off with a sentiment from Reverse Love EZ Strips sentiment strips. Here are more photos of this finished card:

You are Loved Elegant Birthday Floral Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I've got a couple of sparkly floral cards to share with you today! I used some lovely stamps and dies from Simon Says Stamp that worked together so beautifully on these. My favorite part is the layered sentiments - they are just so unique and fun!

I started off by stamping the lovely Delicate Blossoms floral background on white cardstock, and heat embossing with WOW Gold Pearl Sparkle embossing powder - and it was stunning! I added some soft ink blending to each one around the edges with Cheeky and Cantaloupe inks. I also blended some extra of each of those inks on some scraps of cardstock, and die cut the Giggle Happy birthday sentiment. It's hard to see, but layered together both vellum and white cardstock for the shadow layer - it just helped to slightly soften the white. Trimmed some strips of Tonic Gold Dust glitter cardstock in varying widths, and created some fun patterns on the background for interest. Added the larger sentiments with foam adhesive, then stamped and die cut the secondary sentiments from Delicate Blossoms to layer over the top. Finished off with some coordinating Dazzling Gems in Bubblegum and Peachy for extra sparkle! Here is a closer look at these cards:

Being a Friend - Simon Says Stamp Love You, Too Release Blog Hop

Good morning! Excited today to be joining in on Day 2 of an epic blog hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW Love You, Too Release from Simon Says Stamp! Make sure and check out all the inspiration with this new release AND link up your creations as you receive your orders HERE in the Gallery created just for this release! And check out the graphic below to receive a FREE darling 6x8 Faraway Hugs stamp set with the coupon code below through January 18, 2021 as well - while supplies last (code expires at 11:59 PM EDT)!!!

I have recently tried hot foiling for the first time - and I am totally and completely hooked! I got a hot foil machine, but no hot foil plates as of yet...but I discovered you can do hot foiling with dies as well! So when I saw the brand new Boho Circle Wafer Dies, well, I knew just what I wanted to do with them!

I wish I could totally capture in these photos the beautiful look that the hot foiling gives! Such a classy and fun look - and I love the versatility of being able to use dies for it! This die is perfect - so intricate and detailed!

For this first card, I used Soft Navy Cardstock, with Spellbinders Aura gold foil. Navy and Gold is always such a classic combo, don't you think?

I was also pleased to discover that one of the Nesting Circles was the perfect size to die cut my foiled image down to size.

Sentiment is using another new item - Thank You for Being a Friend die. I die cut it from gold cardstock for each card, and also a couple times from white cardstock to layer together for dimension.

For this second card, I used Mint cardstock, and used Spellbinder's Gold Foil to foil my image.

Once both images were foiled and die cut, I mounted them with foam adhesive on white cardbases, and added the sentiments over the top.

I finished off by embellishing with a few sparkly clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins - the clear color was just right to add a bit of sparkle, without distracting from the clean and graphic look of these cards.

I love the bold look of the foiling on the colored cardstock - but still leaving lots of white space by mounting on white cardbases.

I would love to hear which color combo is your favorite!

STAMPtember Collaboration - Paper Roses Studio

Hello - and HAPPY STAMPtember - a month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping.

Today we are getting to see the next in the progression of the special SUPER SECRET collaboration stamp sets that will be happening throughout the month! Today we have...Paper Rose Studios!

I decided to use one of my favorite distress ink techniques with this lovely set - and I absolutely love how well it worked for it!

I used more of the Crackling Campfire distress ink I've been loving since it came out - and stamped some of the florals on watercolor cardstock. Grabbed Peeled Paint to add the greenery, then misted the entire thing with a bit of water and let the colors mix and bleed together.

The rest was simple! I matted that panel with a touch of gold glitter cardstock, mounted with foam on a Cream colored cardbase, and added a sentiment from the set, heat embossed in gold on black cardstock and also adhered with foam adhesive.

Here is a look at this beautiful floral set:

Wildflower Silhouette Cards - Simon Says Stamp Rest and Refresh Release

Good evening! I'm super excited tonight to be stopping by sharing a set of cards that I created using some items from the BRAND NEW Rest and Refresh Release from Simon Says Stamp! I have lots more to share - make sure and stop by here again Friday for Day 1 of the Blog Hop to celebrate the release - as always, tons of inspiration and giveaways to be found along the hop!

Tonight I'm sharing this set of cards I created using the gorgeous NEW Wildflowers Stamp Set - this set was just begging to be used as crisp silhouettes on ink blended backgrounds, and who was I to resist?!?!?

Creating blended backgrounds with Distress Inks is one of my favorite ways to relax and de-stress - there is just something about the process that I love. The beautiful backgrounds afterwards is definitely an added bonus of that process! After that, it was a simple matter of using this beautiful stamp to add my images over the top. Let's take a closer look, shall we?

This blended background was created using Tattered Rose and Stormy Sky, and there are a few Pink Blush Jewels on here to add some sparkle.

This second one uses Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean, and a few Cornflower Jewels. These first two cards also use the narrower wildflower border to match their horizontal orientation.

This card uses 3 colors of ink - Wild Honey, Wilted Violet, and Chipped Sapphire - finished off with a few Marigold Jewels.

And finally, Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, and Abandoned Coral with some Raspberry Jewels round out this set of 4. These final two cards use the wider wildflower border which fit perfectly with their vertical design.

After I added the ink blending to these panels, I also added a generous splatter on each of them with some Perfect Pearls mixed with a bit of water. I set them aside to dry, then trimmed each of the panels down slightly, and matted each one with a slightly smaller piece of Gold Glitter Cardstock before mounting on white cardbases.

I finished off with sentiments from the NEW Your Light Stamp Set, heat embossed in gold on strips of black cardstock - then mounted with foam adhesive over these panels. I thought these messages were a perfect fit over these decorative panels!
