I have recently tried hot foiling for the first time - and I am totally and completely hooked! I got a hot foil machine, but no hot foil plates as of yet...but I discovered you can do hot foiling with dies as well! So when I saw the brand new Boho Circle Wafer Dies, well, I knew just what I wanted to do with them!
I wish I could totally capture in these photos the beautiful look that the hot foiling gives! Such a classy and fun look - and I love the versatility of being able to use dies for it! This die is perfect - so intricate and detailed!
For this first card, I used Soft Navy Cardstock, with Spellbinders Aura gold foil. Navy and Gold is always such a classic combo, don't you think?
I was also pleased to discover that one of the Nesting Circles was the perfect size to die cut my foiled image down to size.
Sentiment is using another new item - Thank You for Being a Friend die. I die cut it from gold cardstock for each card, and also a couple times from white cardstock to layer together for dimension.
For this second card, I used Mint cardstock, and used Spellbinder's Gold Foil to foil my image.
Once both images were foiled and die cut, I mounted them with foam adhesive on white cardbases, and added the sentiments over the top.
I finished off by embellishing with a few sparkly clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins - the clear color was just right to add a bit of sparkle, without distracting from the clean and graphic look of these cards.
I love the bold look of the foiling on the colored cardstock - but still leaving lots of white space by mounting on white cardbases.
I would love to hear which color combo is your favorite!
