Butterfly Background Thank Yous - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I've got a couple of cards featuring an embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp, paired with some pretty ink blending and die cut sentiments! Isn't this color combo fun?!?

I started off with the Confetti Butterflies embossing folder, and embossed one full A2 panel of white cardstock, and then one panel that I first die cut with one of the Modern Teardrops dies. I lightly misted them with water before embossing, which allows for a deeper impression on the cardstock that I love! Once those dried, I grabbed a fun color combo of Pawsitively Saturated inks - Butter, Clay, and Violet (using a search for ombre gradients on Pinterest to give me some color inspiration). I blended the full panel softly with the color for a more pastel background, then on the die cut panel, I blended deeper to get a slightly more bold effect. For both of them, I used the back side of the embossed panels, which gives a different effect that is super fun! I used the negative from the die cut frame to create a window to put my whole panel behind, and then adhered the die cut background with foam adhesive on my cardbase. Sentiments are the Showboat Thanks die, using black cardstock for the shadow layer, and white for the main layer. Finished off with some Dazzling Gems in Prism on both cards, and then some Black and White Baker's twine on the bolder card, and Iridescent cord on the softer toned card. Here is a closer look at these finished cards:

Vintage Floral Birthday Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I've been trying to make my way through supplies that haven't been used yet, so to that end, I have a couple cards to share today using a Simon Says Stamp embossing folder from a couple release back, and used a fun technique for a unique look!

To create these cards, I first used the lovely Pristine Blooms embossing folder on two colors of Spellbinders colored cardstock. I then used closely matching colors of SSS ink - Blush and Iris - with a rubber brayer over the back side of those panels (the debossed side). This gave a lovely vintage look that made these florals just pop! I stamped and die cut the EZ Strips Birthday sentiments, and adhered those with foam adhesive over some Iridescent Cord that I looped behind them. Finished off with a few adhesive pearls for an elegant finish! Here are a few more photos of these cards:

You Are Loved Peeking Duck - Simon Says Stamp You Are My Favorite Release

Good morning! Today I have a fun little ducky shaker trio card using some supplies from the NEW You Are My Favorite Release from Simon Says Stamp. I love the wonky, playful design - although in hindsight, I wish I could adjust the tilt on the far right ducky! But I also think, at the same time, that's it's kind of fun as well. What can I say - it's handmade, not perfect, right?

I started off by using the adorable little Peeking Duck die (the name on that one just cracks me up!) and cutting it 3 times from a panel of white cardstock. I created a shaker with each one using different colors of Gina K cardstock to back each shaker window. I filled them with tiny 3mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and added a repeating sentiment from the new Inside Greetings 1 stamp set. Finished off with some coordinating Enamel Dots and a bow of Iridescent white cord tied around the top! Here are more photos of this finished card:

Mix and Match Florals and Stencils YT Live - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Yesterday I went live on my YouTube channel using a few items from the You Are My Favorite Release from Simon Says Stamp, and mixing and matching some different items. I combined two different floral sets - one die and one embossing folder - and also used a frame die and stencil two ways on my card front. And don't even get me started on that fabulous sparkly details that I was able to add with something new to me!

Here is the live video if you want to see this card come together, or you can watch it directly on YouTube HERE:

I started off by die cutting a frame from a piece of acetate using Petal Tipped Labels die. I then used both the positive and negative as a mask, first blending a bit of soft yellow ink on my cardbases, then using the Delicate Lattice stencil with a deeper yellow to add texture in a darker shade. Before removing the masks, I added some sparkle with the new-to-me Cinderella's Shoes Picket Fence Paper Splatter. It is SOOO sparkly and pretty! I did some die cutting and ink blending (you can watch the videos for details) using Fantastic Florals embossing folder and dies, Poised Primula dies, and Exquisite Butterfly die and finished assembling the cards. Added sentiments from Flowering Frame, heat embossed in white on black cardstock, a few sparkly Dazzling Gems in Prism, a bit of Iridescent Cord, and a rounded corner on each card to finish off! Here are more photos of these cards:

Shiny Floral Egg Trio - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I have a light and airy trio of cards today using some recently released items from Simon Says Stamp, and a fun technique to get a fun shiny card highlight! You can check out my Instagram HERE to see a quick process video of how I did it!

I started off by embossing the Floral Easter Eggs embossing folder from 3 colors of Spellbinders cardstock, and 3 times from Cream cardstock. I then used the included die to cut out one particular egg from the background. (Check back tomorrow to see how I put those backgrounds to use!). I then held the cut out embossed egg with reverse tweezers, smooshed the front of it directly into my clear embossing ink pad, then sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set. I did this 2-3 times to each egg to make sure it had a good coating of shine. Then, I adhered it over the cream background with a bit of foam adhesive, and wrapped some Iridescent twine around those panels, before adhering with foam adhesive to white cardsbases. Added sentiments from Reverse Thank You sentiment strips, and a few sparkly Simple Stories enamel dots to finish off! Here is a closer look at these cards:

Cozy Sheep Birthday Card - Simon Says Stamp Favorite Things Release

Good morning! I'm back to share another card using the BRAND NEW Favorite Things Release from Simon Says Stamp from last week. I have a particularly soft spot for sheep - my mom loved them, and collected them in every way possible! My mom passed away last year 6 days after her 77th birthday last year, so her first birthday in heaven is this coming Sunday. So, this card is one that I know she would have loved so much!

I used the adorable new Peeking Lamb die, and paired it with one of the new Basic Shapes Circles to create a center element. I added the scarf from Bundled Bunny die (LOVE that it is a perfect fit for this lamb as well!) - cut from the new Bubblegum glitter cardstock, and stamped the birthday sentiment from Bunny Blessings on the circle. For the background, I layered up some pattern paper, adding torn edges for some texture, and then wrapped around some of the new Iridescent White Cord and tied in a bow. It is so pretty and sparkly - love it! I mounted the sheep circle over the top with foam adhesive, then added an extra sentiment from Reverse Thank You EZ strips sentiments, added some glitter drops to the top of the sheep's head, and finished off with a few Opal Dazzling Gems. Here are more photos of this sweet little card:
