Father's Day Handprint Card

Good morning! Wanted to share today one of my super duper favorite cards from lately! A friend asked me last week if there was a way we could put together a Father's Day card using her 1 year old son's handprint. So...this is what came of it:

She said Daddy liked navy blue, so I found this paper from My Mind's Eye, and used my Lil' Inker's stitched square dies to trim it to size. We used some silver Martha Stewart paint to make his handprint (only took about 5 tries to get it perfect!) - then cut it out with a smaller of the same dies. Added the stamped sentiment from a MFT stamp set, a few enamel dots, and a couple strips of washi tape to finish it off!

Makes me inspired to make one for my husband...but my girls have bigger hands, so it might be a huge card if I try that!

  1. Oh my - you have created an absolutely divine Father's Day card! PERFECT!! Love the idea; love the card (the navy is awesome); love the sentiment. WOW!! Thanks for sharing!!

  2. Great idea like always, I have a 1 year old boy too, so I will try something like this for my father's day card. I am sure baby will also appreciate to put some paint in his hand ;)

  3. This card definitely has the Awww factor. Darling.

  4. it turned out great, like how you stamped the sentiment with it!

  5. This is terrific, I LOVE how you included the handprint....may have to scrap lift this one!!!! ;)
