A Special Custom Photo Birthday Card

Good morning! After a week of sick kids, then sick mommy, then hubby out of town, then trying to get my crafty inspiration back, I was excited to finally get a couple of cards put together last night! YAY! Sometimes so hard to get out of a slump like that.

Anyway - this isn't one of the ones I made last night, but I have had this one finished for a little while and hadn't gotten around to sharing it - so I thought I would share it now. It is a special custom requested card that I made for a friends sister a few weeks ago:

She wanted the photo used on the card, and had her own requested wording, so I added the words in Adobe Photoshop, then printed the photo on vellum again, before backing it with white cardstock that I attached with the silver brads.

I used some My Mind's Eye pattern papers, added some Studio Calico wood veneer hearts, and a bit of jute twine to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

  1. Sweet, sweet, sweet! I hope you are feeling back to normal. Your friend is so blessed to have you make this card. Our Canadian Thanksgiving has past and we are so blessed to see this beautiful work of art, as well as being very thankful for your past posts.

  3. Hi Heather! Sorry I didn't get by sooner to see this card. I LOVE that photo - I will bet her Dada cried when he saw this sweet card. You did an amazing job on it. Sweet but still masculine enough. Just wonderful! I hope you will stop by again this week to play along with us. In addition, please stop by the blog today and heck out our winners. I'll need you to email me.
