So Very Blessed

Good morning! Just thought I would stop in this morning to share a quick card:

I also wanted to link up with the new Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes (include American Crafts if you want to):

I am also linking up with the Simon Says Monday Challenge - I ought to use that more (finally dug into my scrap box and used some of those!):

Finally, linking this up with Word Art Wednesday's Anything Goes.

I used some American Crafts pattern paper for my background, then some scrap paper from Crate Paper that I cut with Avery Elle's Pinked Elle-ments dies. Then I used some vellum to cut Paper Smooches Deco Bag Die, and heat embossed my sentiment from Neat and Tangled's So Very Blessed stamp using Ranger Platinum embossing powder. I added a twist of hemp cord inside the bag, affixed a pre-made bow from Recollections that I had in my stash, and finished off with some sequins and enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

Watercolor with Neat and Tangled

Good morning! It's no secret that I love watercolors right now - probably my favorite way to play with my crafty supplies at the moment! I have a couple cards to share today using that technique:

I love playing with my Neat and Tangled stamps, and an excuse to play with watercolors as well? Yes please!!! Definitely playing along with this weeks Little Tangles Challenge - Watercolor:

I also got the chance to use some stuff I hadn't had a chance to break out of the package yet (the pinked edge die and the triangle background stamp) so I'm joining in NBUS Challenge #1 again - LOVE that this challenge inspires me to use all my supplies!

I also love the soft sweet inspiration in this weeks Cure for the Monday Blues - as well as the geometric feel:

I actually  made two cards to share today - using very similar supplies, to end up with a very feminine card, and a more masculine card. I started off for this first one by heat embossing the Tiny Triangles stamp set from Neat and Tangled on watercolor paper, then randomly filling in the colors. It is hard to see in the photo, but I also added a healthy spritz of Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine afterwards. I heat embossed my sentiments from Everyday Labels in white on kraft paper, trimmed them out, then punched a hole in them and the front panel and tied them on with some ivory jute twine. Finished off with some pattern paper from Basic Grey and a few Crystal Clear sequins

Next up, here is my more masculine version:

The pinked edge die I used is from Avery Elle called Pinked ELLE-ments - and I am in love with it right now! I used it for both cards to cut my watercolor paper, which happened to be the perfect size for my triangle background. This time I added some soft washes of watercolor, then misted over so they bled quite a lot. I let that dry well, then came back with the same colors, and filled in the empty triangles a little darker, then covered them with Glossy Accents. Finished off with a sentiment from Sparkle and Shine heat embossed on a hand trimmed vellum banner then attached with a brad and a dot of glue on the other side. Finished off with some more Basic Grey pattern paper that I added some distress ink to the edges of and some hand drawn doodling to frame it in a bit.

MCS Challenge - Shape Cards

Good Monday morning! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot - Shape Cards! It has been too long since I made a shaped card, so I really enjoyed this challenge - here is what I made:

I started off by welding together this little telephone cut file from the Silhouette store, and cutting it out with my Cameo using SSS gray cardstock. Next, I cut it out of the pink paper without the window, then again out of the red - both from a DCWV 6x6 paper pad. I adhere the pink behind the red, slightly offset for a shadow effect, then adhered it onto the cardbase I created, tucking in the "cord" that I cut using My Craft Spots Fancy Edges 2 die set. I adhered the heart in the center with foam adhesive, added some sequins from Tickled Pink sequin blend, and then heat embossed my sentiment from the new Robots stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will come play along in the challenge - can't wait to see what fun shape cards you come up with! Have a wonderful day!!!

Sweet Friendship

Good morning! Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start! Just wanted to share a sweet card with you that I put together last night:

And, as a second entry for this weeks Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge:

I actually have had this image from Lil' Inker's Designs all colored up and sitting on my desk for months now - and finally decided it should go on a card. Which made this pretty easy to put together! I used a die from My Craft Spot to cut the pinked edge on the bottom, and layered lots of pretty American Crafts papers (except the turquoise which is from Echo Park). Added a doily, some machine stitching, a sequin bow from Freckled Fawn, and a few sequins to finish it off!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Basket Full of Happy Birthday

Good morning! I have another Avery Elle card to share with you today - once I got a couple sets out to play with, I just never got to putting them away, and kept finding them there and playing with them! Here is what I made this time:

I couldn't resist playing along one more time with the current AEI{heart}U Challenge - DIY Stamped Designer Paper (I stamped my own pattern on the kraft paper card base):

I also used the current Cure for the Monday Blues as inspiration:

And finally, linking up with this weeks Simon Says Monday Challenge:

I used two stamp sets to put together my card, Red and Goldie, and Brushed for the paint lines. I stamped the music notes and small mushroom on my kraft paper card base, then stamped the images from Red and Goldie on watercolor paper, painted them in, and fussy cut them out. The top speech bubble was cut with Paper Smooches Quotables Dies. Stamped the brush marks with MFT ink, and then built my sentiment and added the music notes over the top. The grass on the bottom was cut with My Craft Spot's Fancy Edges Metal dies - I attached it at the bottom, then curved up the grass for a bit of dimension, then attached everything else with foam adhesive.

Beautiful Life - FWF

Good morning! So happy to by stopping by to share my card for Unity Friends with Flair this morning! I got some Gelatos recently, and wanted to play with them - and this is the result:

I used my Unity March 2014 KOTM for the background, applying 3 different colors of gelatos directly to my stamp, misting it with water, then stamping onto watercolor paper. Once that dried, I added my sentiment from the February KOTM, and trimmed it to the size I wanted for my card. Pattern paper is from Studio Calico, Gray cardstock from Simon Says Stamp, and I tucked a doily back there as well. Added some enamel dots from Eyelet Outlet, a tiny Tim Holtz paperclip, and a bit of MFT Hemp twine.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Washi Tape Letterpress in Reverse

Good morning! Just wanted to share another card I made, using a the technique I demonstrated in a video a little while back (click HERE to see that post). For this card, I simply reversed how I did it, and removed the washi tape from the die cut, instead of from around it.

Just like in the previous video - I layered several strips of washi tape down on cardstock, used Paper Smooches Anchor metal die to emboss, instead of cut through the cardstock, then very carefully peeled some of the washi tape away.

I used several Lil' Inker's sittched dies to cut my panels, and add stitching to my card base, then stamped a sentiment from Many Thanks stamp set to finish it off.

I am linking this up with this weeks Paper Smooches SPARKS - Anything Goes Challenge:

You've Got This!

Good morning! I hope nobody is getting tired of watercolors...because I'm not likely to anytime soon! I pulled out some more watercolors and made this the other day:

I ended up covering up a lot of it, but I also made my own pattern paper for the cardbase to play along with the current AEI{heart}U Challenge - DIY Stamped Designer Paper:

I used the tiny ink splotches in Avery Elle's Brushed Stamp Set to create the background, using Sweet Tooth MFT pigment ink, and Soft Cantaloupe Hero Arts Shadow Ink on some PTI cardstock. For the front panel, I created my own watercolor background, let it dry, then stamped my sentiment combined from the same stamp set, with the "my friend" added from Red and Goldie. Finished off with a couple of Lucky Blend sequins from Avery Elle - then attached with foam adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful rest of your week!!!

Hello Stars!

Good morning! Sharing some star fun this morning for a couple of challenges:

First up, playing along with the new Lawnscaping Challenge - obviously I chose stars!

Also playing along with the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Stencil It:

I started off by using my Simon Says Stamp Falling Stars Stencil and mixing some white embossing paste with some yellow Gelatos to make yellow paste - and applying it on my card base of soft blue PTI cardstock! Then I used Lawn Fawn's Puffy Star Stackable Dies to cut several stars out of vellum - using two of the dies together to make a window star as well, inside of which I stamped my sentiment from Just My Type. Rounded one corner, added some enamel dots, and a bit of Baker's Twine to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Hey Girl!

Good afternoon! It is a gray day in Wyoming - and I have a couple of kids not feeling well, so I sat down to work on some various DT projects, as well as a couple of challenges! I was really struggling with no inspiration at ALL earlier - but I'm happy to say that I was able to sit down this afternoon and get 5 cards made - and those and several more photographed and edited! Glad I was finally able to kick myself into gear!!!

All my pattern paper is from my Basic Grey 6x6 Hey Girl paper pad, and the coordinating Flair that I have had on hand for forever, and never used! The enamel dots are also Basic Grey Candy Buttons from a few different packs. I used my Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card die to cut the stitched rectangle, and the plain edge Paper Smooches Quotables die to cut the grass hill. The little girl is from Avery Elle's Red and Goldie Stamp set, colored with Copics, fussy cut out, and mounted with foam adhesive. I also added a jute twine bow behind the flair.

Since this is the first chance I have had to use this Avery Elle set, as well as the flair - I am also linking this up with the brand new NBUS challenge - Anything Goes/Friendship

Also linking up with the current Simon Says Monday Challenge - Anything Goes:

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great afternoon!!!

Watercolor Dresses

Good morning! This weekend went fast - so hard to believe it is Monday already! Anyway - thought I would drop by and share a quick card - using my Unity Stamps and some more watercolors:

I also thought I would play along with the current Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge:

I had picked up these watercolors and Michael's last time I was out of town - they are iridescent! So hard to show in the picture, but it is like watercolors with glittery pearls mixed in! So pretty! I used an image and sentiment from the Unity May 2014 Kit of the Month - such a GORGEOUS kit! Background pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

Happy Father's Day Sailboat

Good evening! Since it is Father's Day tomorrow, I thought I would get a jump and share one last Father's Day card with you that I made with some of my Avocado Arts stamps.

I am also playing along with this weeks Shop Pumpkin Spice Challenge: Masculine, and the current Inspired By Challenge - loved the woodgrain, and for some reason it made my think of the old Dutch lullaby "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod" - I always loved that poem. And even though they "sailed off" in a wooden shoe, they sailed! Here is the inspiration photo:

I just adore the little sailboat in the newest Avocado Arts release, "Life's a Beach", and I added a sentiment from last month's set "Just Fore You." Used my Tim Holtz distress tool and some distress ink around the edges to soften them a bit, mounted on some pretty MME woodgrain pattern paper, and finished off with some jute twine wrapped around and tied in the back.

And Happy Father's Day in advance to all the amazing Father's out there, include the Dad I was born to, the Dad I gained through marrying my husband, and that same wonderful husband who is an amazing Daddy to our two girls (I almost said "little" girls, but they aren't so little any more!) Have a wonderful day!!!
