Sparkle and Shine - Watercolor Florals

Good morning! It's time for a new challenge over at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have another inspiration photo challenge, and a prize sponsored by Winnie and Walter!

This card is actually sort of a remake of a card I made very recently - just with a few changes of color and such - but using some beautiful Winnie and Walter stamps and dies. (You can see that card HERE if you like - it also happens to have a giveaway if you're interested!)

Here is our inspiration photo - I was going to make some fun pumpkins, but still had this stamp set on my desk and started playing, and well, this is what happened! Ended up using the colors more:

I started off by stamping and heat embossing those lovely flowers from In Bloom: Addie's Garden in clear on watercolor paper. Then I watercolored them in several layers with my Gansai Tambai watercolors. I carefully fussy cut them out, then adhered on the woodgrain panel with some glue in the center, leaving the sides free. I added some Stickles to the darker areas to capture the glitter effect from the inspiration photo, then added the In a Word: Hello Cutaway - cut once from white and once from vellum, then layered together as before. Added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh (selected some from the Spooky Days Mix, and added a couple 4mm Orchid), then adhered the entire panel onto my card base with foam adhesive.

Our amazing sponsor this time around is Winnie & Walter. The winner will receive:

I hope you will join in and play along! Looking forward to seeing your creations! Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!!!
